Lori Yep, I DO know. It was two years ago today, in fact. I still miss him something fierce, but in his brief moments of clarity, he felt trapped in his uncooperative body and mind. El Loro EC, the fact that the police have charged the man with perverting the course of justice (maximum life imprisonment) rather than with wasting police time (maximum 6 months) shows that they consider this as potentially a serious offence. [ more ]
Enthusiastic Contrafibularities I agree Roger it is. But I also think it is extremely serious what he has done (if proven to be the case) particularly as all of the resources and money that will have been ploughed into investigating the allegation could have been spent on other unsolved and present cases. For that reason alone I feel he should be given a hefty fine and a jail term - a message needs to be sent out to people who are stupid enough to think that making hoax calls are just a bit of harmless fun. El Loro The Youtube clip on the HMRC webpage has been around for some months. I had wondered if it was a hoax but apparently it's genuine. If it was an advert by a non-government business it could be reported to the advertising authorities for being misleading. It's so oversimplistic that one might start laughing if it wasn't for the fact that HMRC are being serious. Total lack of reality. [ more ]
