Four weeks of heats. The BBC blurb is a bit confusing but I think there are 6 contestants in the first episode whittled down to 3 for the quarterfinal, similarly in the second, so 6 get through to quarterfinal on Friday.
The BBC blurb is confusing as their press release refers to fifty-eight contestants. 6 x 2 per week x 4 equals forty-eight, not fifty-eight.

The fifth week is described as " celebration of MasterChef talent with a twist". BBC seem to be keeping quiet on details but it's presumably due to the series being the 20th,

Then the sixth week the knockout week with the last 16, seventh week the semi-finals, and the eighth being the finals.
