^^^^ I'm saying nothing.

@ the stick. S'okay, I know you're joking. Hope the wee one has settled down now.

Off to bed, see you tomorrow.

Hugs for the night owls.

Oh get you and your maths! Enjoy your sleep Summer, i am hoping for a good sleep tonight. Going to see the characters from Ice Age tomorrow at my local cinema, after Church. I so want to sit and watch the Murray/ Federer match.

Morning all overcast with the look of impending rain here. I think I should go clean out the rabbit hutch ASAP, I just need playful bramble to settle down. Mr summer has gone out walking, he's training for a 25m event, so I'm going to get as much housework done as possible while he's out of the way Back when the tennis starts, have a lovely morning all

Good morning everyone, at least it's dry here at the mo, so I'm grateful for that at least.

I am glad the church fete went ahead EL but sad that the rain interfered with some of the fun.

I love the Ice Age films Skylark but it would be great if you could see the match this afternoon.

I hope that whoever you are supporting this afternoon wins (how diplomatic is that ) I'm not a sports fan myself.

Off to church soon, enjoy your day whatever you are up to.

Good morning everyone

I wonder what the television viewing figures will be this afternoon. Unlikely to match the 1966 world cup match between England & Germany (32.3m) which holds the record.

I should find out when I go to church how much money the fete raised, though I think it will be down from last year.

It's dry here, mainly cloudy but patches of blue. Heavy showers are predicted for this afternoon and there could be thunder.

Good morning everyone. Weather is overcast but dry ATM. I hope you enjoy Ice Age, Skylark and good luck to Andy Murray. Summer, I do understand how you feel about him, he doesn't have the most engaging personality. I try to support Brits in sporting events but I don't extend that to reality tv shows. (I really like Federer though, so won't be heartbroken for too long, if Murray doesn't win). Enjoy your day, whatever you are doing, see you later

The fete income was about three quarters of what it was in the previous year, so although down, not a catastrophe.

It would be nice if Andy Murray wins today, particularly in Jubilee year and the coming Olympics.

It would be nice if Roger Federer wins today as he is more likeable than Andy Murray. Also a man placed a bet on Roger Federer winning 7 Wimbledon titles by 2019. He had died since and left the betting slip to Oxfam. If Federer wins today that will be his seventh title and Oxfam would receive Β£101,840.

So I thought I would did a quick bit of cutting back a bush which had become overgrown in the last couple of weeks during the rain break at Wimbledon.

I cut back the worst, put the cuttings in the gardening recycle bin, and then the skies opened with a very heavy shower. That shower must have made very rapid progress from Wimbledon

Apparently both Alex Salmond and Alex Ferguson are at Wimbledon - I spotted Ferguson in the crowd.

Good morning everyone

I hope you have recovered from the excitement of yesterday's match (if you were watching)

Someone I know at church has recently got her language degree. She is now officially tri-lingual as she is fluent in German (her chosen langauge) and Italian. She is now off to a well known language centre in Germany to teach English to Germans.

Dry here, but cloudy.

Good morning everyone, the weekend seems to have shot past in a flash

Good news and bad about the tennis, I like Roger Federer and in my view he is pretty unstoppable (and Yay Oxfam gets to benefit) BUT I know it would have been much appreciated by his fans if Andy Murray had won but at least he made it to the final.

I hope we get a little less rain this week, c'mon EL give us a forecast with a bit of hope in it

Squiggle, I wish I could give a better forecast, but the best I can do is that according to the Met Office although the weather will remain unsettled, the overall conditions over the next month are not expected to be as bad as they have been. Low chance of any heatwave.

You have probably heard that the poor weather has been caused by the gulf air stream is normally pushed well to the north missing the UK at this time of year, but at present is right over the southern part of the UK. What you might not have heard is the reason why the gulf stream hasn't moved to miss the UK. When there are hurricanes and tropical storms in the Caribbean area, the strength of these push the gulf stream up. This year, so far, it's been much quieter in the Caribbean.

Good morning everyone. It's raining cats and dogs up here. I checked on he Yahoo weather link and there doesn't appear to be a change for the better, for the next week.

Talking of fluent language speakers, I read somewhere that Roger Federer is fluent in five languages. Is there no end to his talents? (His twin daughters are gorgeous, too.)

I thought Andy played well and can hold his head high. His emotional speech following the match, showed a very different side to him and made me warm to him.

Good morning overcast and light rain here, no flip flopping today then El that's lovely about your friend, it must be wonderful to be fluent in other languages Federer was grand yesterday, and such a lovely personality too. His girls were adorable! Andy did become more appealing as he gave his speech, I even saw a smile after for a moment I heard he's taking a little break from tennis for a while now ..?
