I've been watching it, they've been doing different eras each week. I've recorded tonight's programme.

Good morning everyone. Weather is overcast and miserable. Is anyone having a problem with FF this morning? The top of the page seems to be missing, so my bookmarks have disappeared:sad: If it doesn't right itself, I'll ask son to have a look at it before he goes to work. Have a good day everyone. xx

Edit: I went onto the FF help pages and typed in "my toolbar has disappeared" and it told me how to fix it.

Good morning everyone

Dry, a mix of cloud and patches of blue, showers expected later.

Skylark, I'm glad your computer behaved itself yesterday

Yogi, well done on sorting out the missing toolbar I use FF as well and the same thing happened some months ago. I did as you did and wrote it down so if it happens again I know what to do. Press "Alt" and the menu bar comes back.

Good morning everyone, it's showery here today, but blue sky at the moment.  Well done on sorting out your toolbar Yogi, I hope your son will be impressed.

I loved the pancakes Summer, how lovely of your friend to make them for her daughter.

I have all the Turn Back Time things stored up but haven't had time to watch them yet, I always enjoy those and wonder how people managed without all our modern conveniences.

I cannot believe what a nasty bunch of HM's there are this year, surely the worst bunch ever, I have no idea why I am still watching it, morbid fascination I think.

I found this on my local news website, though no connection with my church:

ST JAMES church has welcomed a new vicar at a special servicein Quedgeley.

Reverend John Ward, whose most recent postwas as an associate priest in Wotton-under-Edge, was licensed by the Bishop of Gloucester on July 2.

Rev John, who was in hotel management before being ordained in 1984, said: "I am very much looking forward to my new ministry in Quedgeley, which is a growing and developing parish combining both established and new housing, business and education and an exciting development enterprise.

"I take my role very seriously but you will sometimes find me in church with my glove puppet Cedric, a very happy but sometimes naughty fox."

I can't find a photo of Cedric though

Thanks El and Squiggle, I was pleased with myself for fixing the FF problem.

Son was quite shocked impressed that I'd managed it without help.

Squiggle, I think you'll enjoy Turn Back Time. I won't say any more because I don't want to spoil it for you.

Re this year's HMs, I agree that they are the worst bunch ever. There are so many unlikeable characters in there, it's a nightmare.

I hope the children like the puppet, El. The name Cedric reminds me of Charlie from the Darling Buds of May. His real name was Cedric Charleton but Pop Larkin refused to call him Cedric, so he became Charlie.

I don't think I've ever met a Cedric.

The best known Cedric I think was Cedric Hardwicke (father of Edward who was Watson in the Jeremy Brett Holmes series). Cedric Hardwicke was generally in serious films, but this shows him in A Yankee in King Arthur's Court in a very different role . He's the one with a beard along with Bing Crosby (obviously) and William Bendix.

Evening x

Rev John and Cedric sound great fun , i am sure they will do well !
Another day of rain here, its been the worst since records began , apparently. What a shame so many summer activities have to be cancelled. Crops being damaged too.

I agree squiggle about BB, what a bunch , morbid fascination with me too.
Hope you have all had a good day x

Good morning everyone

It's quite sunny here at present, but we know it's back to the wet stuff later on.

That current British Gas advert with the swimmers - I know that "Rebecca Adlington" and "Keri-Anne Payne" are in the inflatable lion at the front but I wonder if the other "characters" in it are based on real people or are just imagined for the ad.

Good morning brace yourselves.. It's SUNNY here no rain! I'm enjoying it because it's not meant to last. Lovely day out yesterday, but I've vowed to not eat sugary foods today, we over did the cake & sweets yesterday! My skin looks awful this morning. I did buy some lovely flowery wellies on sale for ÂĢ12.50 though, and they are much more comfy than my old ones. I practically bounced round with bramble this morning instead of walking How is everyone? What are you doing today?

Good morning everyone.  Long time, no speak.    It's sunny and quite hot here at the moment but I'm sure there will be rain again later.

I can honestly say that I have no idea who the HMs are this year.  I've not watched even one episode of BB.  Unless I can watch more than an hour of "selective" highlights I don't feel you can get a true picture of the characters.

Hope you all have a good day.  Good luck with the client El Loro.  Off to do some work now.  Will try and get back later.

Joyron

Good morning everyone, no surprise it's drizzling here again.  Heavy rain forecast this afternoon and guess what I checked the long range weather forecast for our area (my grandson is helping out a friend of mine for a little pocket money and the jobs are outdoors) and it's going to rain all next week too.

What sort of pet shall Cedric be I wonder?

Good luck with the client EL and don't forget, to get home just click your heels together 3 times and say 'there's no place like home' (it helps if you have some red glitter on your shoes but your client might give you a funny look.

Oh, what a mental image your post has conjured up.

I have also checked the forecast for my area. Unfortunately, after today's sunshine, it's rain or showers for the next 10 days.

Joyron, lovely to see you back in here.

You are not missing much with BB, the majority of them are very unlikeable.

I agree with you about selective highlights, imo it isn't really BB without LF.

Yogi19

Hi Joyron, nice to see you here

Squiggle, I did as you suggested and clicked my heels 3 times and found myself instantaneously back home. Trouble was I then had to walk back to my client and retrieve my car

(she's not a new client, she's the one I've mentioned before who was recently widowed, I had been sorting out her husband's tax, and now trying to sort out her tax, and she's the one who gave me that surprise cheque - she's getting on with things and last week went to the International Musical Eisteddfod in North Wales, and of course she got soaked but enjoyed it all the same)
