hope you had a better night last night. Glad to hear you are pleased with your posh outdoor tap.

How annoying you burnt your potaotes. Did you damage the pan or did you manage to clean it up?

Yes, ,Hotel Inspector was such fun....but....Now that is odd, as I thought Dame said you were the one taking the tab for the champers.

Bit cloudy here today so far, don't mind, better than it being sweltering hot.

We heard yesterday son passed his BSc with a 2.1, hooray! It has taken him a long time through college first to get this, as he struggles with study. He and a lot of his fellow students thought they had failed at first, as he read the emails giving details of how to do the retakes this summer first. Then the results collection came in later emails. So we said we'd get his fave Pizza Hut for tea tonight to celebrate. The Uni said they will get a proper graduation, when it is safe to do so.

Nice day weather wise yesterday, so I sat in the garden and did my puzzles and read my book awhile.

I texted HIcky yesterday to ask how he was. He said he is exhausted so sleeping a lot. But is so looking forward to seeing his family who are now on their way to live in their house across the road from him. He sent me some photos of them on the plane. They are flying via Tokyo, then London, then Manchester.

Hope you have a good day Baz.

Awwwww that’s great news about Hickys family .

Mollie , you read it wrong … Oh wow , congratulations to your son .I will be watching Gogglebox tonight , but on plus 1 because of Gardeners World …however feel free to join me if you can . …I will be on my own cos Ros is away for a couple of days .

Baz

Evening All.

Just a quick post, had a busy day, trying the new Sainsbury's incontinence pull up pants, very good too.

Lad #2 arrived with lots of company samples, stayed with me for hours, i showed him the garden frost a swivel seat in the gazebo, then he went o Sainsbury's in his Porsche Carrera and go get me loads,

Stuff been coming all day for the Lad's house over the road, received loads of toys and gifts for the children, a lovey dolls house and dolls

Mrs H went over to see the house, she really should be resting, and she's outside with here sister on the swing.

My lad should be home by now, no word since he boarded the plane to Manchester.

Hicky

Hicky

so glad they have arrived and there is plenty of gifts and toys to keep the youngsters occupied. Did the family send the gifts/toys for them or did they order them before they left Oz? I bet you and MrsH are thrilled to see them again.

Glad you are finding those pants so good for your problem. That should help you not feel so stressed when going out. It should be worth you asking to get some on the NHS, I know they have incontinence nurses who can get them delivered for free, because they are expensive to buy. (my mum used to have them).

That's nice that MrsH could go outside with her sister on the swing.

Baz

hope you slept ok last night and had a good day.

Aaaw what a shame you have to watch Gogglebox on +1, I was looking forward to chatting with you and Ros.

But I hope she has a nice few days away.

Daughter felt well enough to go out for a little while to the book shop today, so she got herself a few books to read. I got myself a suduki book as I enjoy those puzzles.

We enjoyed sons little celebratory pizza hut takeawy meal.

Nearly time to watch Celeb Gogglebox now.

Enjoy your gardeners world and Gogglebox Baz.

Goodnight both xxx

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky . I slept a bit better last night , so I got my rear into gear today .3K Walk …tick ….garden tidying …tick…bed changed ..tick…duvet shuffle done …tick ….washing and ironing ..tick ….pork steaks for lunch …tick…..knackered Baz …tick .I hope everyone else is having a more relaxing day  than me .πŸ˜€

Hicky , I’m so glad your Oz family have arrived safely ….I know it will be a comfort to you and Mrs H .I didn’t realise Sainsbury did their own brand of pants ….I tend to use Tena ….but I will certainly order some with my shopping this week and try them out .

Mollie , I thought Gogglebox was quite poor last night ….although that one guy was very well *endowed* ….not that I rewound or anythingGlad your daughter felt well enough to venture out to the book shop .We will be watching live next week….so come and join us if you can .

I hope you both have a good evening ….take care both .

Baz

Good Afternoon Baz.

Glad you slept a bit better, your workload doesnt seem to change though.

Those pants, mine are for male don't seem to come up on searching for some strange reason, they certainly have them, i have 4 packs of 12 plus some i already had, but because TENA are spending so much money with google it overpowers the web searches, all wronge in my book.

You will have to put Sainsbury's own, no substitution.

I have so many bottles of juices and smoothies now, And BIL has just dropped off 2 jam jars of cockles caught today, he has his own boats, they will be nice.

Have been a lot better today, i seemed to perk up as soon as they arrived from Australia.

how nice people round there have given the kiddies toys as they had to leave all theirs behind in Oz. Hope they are enjoying playing with them.

That is interesting that your BIL has his own boats and catches cockles. Does he catch these for a living?  Glad to hear you are looking foward to eating them, hopefully your appetite will improve now.

It is great seeing the family has brightened you up so much. It must be a relief to know they are close by, so able to help if you and MrsH need it. And of course the childeren are so sweet at that age, so it must be lovely to have them around.

Baz

that good you slept ok and so was able to tick all your jobs and throw a walk in too.

Yes Gogglebox not so good, apart for the shower scene.

I read an interview with the actor and he said he did not have a body double for the shower scene, but refused to say if prosthetics were used.

Glad to see you will be back on the forum for Gogglebox next week.

Went to my friends today and I sat garden with her whilst MrM did the joints in her pavers for her with this special stuff that stops weeds growing.

Bought us all a white choccie caramel ice lollie to enjoy.

Nothing on tv of interest for me tonight.

Goodnight both xx

M

Evening Mollie.

My BIL has always been a fisherman, as are his sons and father, they catch whatever is in season, winter more the shrimps, most go abroad these days.

Seeing them has made such a difference to my appetite, i am eating quite well again now, what a difference a couple of days makes.

He has problems setting up the new sim, but the Wifi we have from BT is so powerful, my lad can use it no problem in his house.

He has been setting up insurance for our car, his uk licence is still good, and he has an international one as well.

He made a big plate of food for breakfast, here, as his pans not here yet, then he takes the plate around everyone to see what they fancy and gives you a small plate so you can take what you want.

With him being freelance so to speak, they don't have times to eat, they eat when they are hungry, its like being out in the bush, he has no office, no boss, he just buys what he needs.

Just had a Tropicana Multivitamin Boost, very nice, had a Brunch bar before as well.

Hicky

Hicky

I am so pleased your special visitors have enabled you to get your appetite back again.

How handy they can share your internet across the road. When my daughter stayed at my neighbours, she could acess ours across the road too.  It was such luck that house was available for them to rent now. Did you find it from rightmove or did someone tell you about it?  Glad he can also make use of your car too.

Nice that he can eat what he wants and when. Did they suffer with jetlag at all?

Hopefully your multivitamin drink and brunch bars are helping you feel better too.

A showery day today but managed to go sit on the swing chair for awhile.

Had green beans, peas and Jersey potatoes with a Gregs cheese and onion pasty for tea. Delicous.

James Martin advised to put lemon jest and juice and butter when potatoes are cooked, which MrM did and they were so tasty.

MrM watching footie, it seems to be going on forever!

I am listeing to my music with my new wireless headphones.

Hope Baz had a good day and slept well.

Afternoon Darnies Not a good day chez Baz . No walk today as I had to wait in for a delivery ….then spent the next hour trying to get the bliddy thing to work….unsuccessfully . Aside from that , I’ve done naff all ….just cleaned kitchen and done a small load of washing . Just the bin to put out later , then that’s my exciting day done !I hope your day is going better than mine is .

Mollie , I saw clips for that programme but a) it clashes with something else I watch , and tbh I don’t like the look of the American one…..but I will record it and watch it later….just in case .I love my wireless headphones ….Apple AirPods ….I put them in when I go on my walks .I hope you had a good weekend , and your daughter is continuing to improve Hicky , I’m glad your son being here is helping your appetite , and that he can plug into your Internet . How is Mrs H doing?

Well it’s Devon and Cornwall for me tonight .Have a good evening both ….take care l

sorry you did not have such a good day today. Sorry you couldnt get your delivery item to work. Is it faulty?

That flower show...... I don't usually like American reality shows, so I wonder if it was a British one that I enjoyed last time?  (in which case i probably won't like this one either). I'll let you know. Told you my memory was awful, as I can't even remember if it was a British one.

At last we have some tv to watch now most of the sport is done. So enjoy your planned vewing tonight.

Hope you sleep ok tonight and so have a better day tomorrow.

Hicky

hope you are feeling ok and enjoying your food again.

How are the family coming on? HOpe they have settled in ok.

And how is MrsH coping? Hope she is still managing to get around and is eating ok.

Showery today. so went to Lidl to do a bit of food shopping.

Had brie/cranberry wrap with salad for tea.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I had a rotten night , but have kept myself busy today . I did a 4K walk , fixed the connection in my old hose (got to send for a different connector for  the new hose though ), washed the patio down , cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen, washed the towels etc, and finished the ironing …..so quite a productive day chez Baz .I hope you are all having a good day , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , I hope your day is going well . Don’t forget it’s Bake Off tonight. And I’m not sure if you like History , but we will be watching a new series on 5Select at 9 , if you fancy joining us l How is your daughter doing today ? Is her β€˜scope β€˜due soon ?Hicky , sorry you lost your post ….I’ve done that before …it’s so darn annoying .How are you and Mrs H feeling today ?

Well my evenings viewing is sorted …..so I hope you enjoy yours too .

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Its great having my lad here from Oz, getting loads of jobs done in the house and garden, had little Elara watering plants etc while daddy was feeding them compost tea.

Had a swing but little girl a bit rough, the swing was almost hitting the garage.

They liked my manshed and all the tools hanging up.

I am back on antibiotics as i have a urine infection, doc rang this morning and said send a sample in, then she rang back to tell me to pick the prescription up, 7 days.

We have been ordering takeaways day and night with us all being here, too much to cook really, i am just trying to fancy food.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky . A better nights sleep for me ….but I will be glad when sunrise gets a bit later !I have been quite busy today . ..I did a 5k walk, a load of washing , anti bac’d the shopping delivery , cleaned kitchen , and fed birds . Added to this , they came and mowed my lawns , which made Baz a very happy little bear . I hope your day is going well too.

Hicky , I’m really sorry to hear you have another water infection .I hope the antibiotics clear it up soon .But I’m sure it’s lovely having all your family together again .Mollie , I enjoyed Bake Off last night ….but we are never going to get rid of the darn misery guy .No Hotel Inspector tomorrow though .I hope you and your daughter are having a good day , and enjoying the sunshine .

Not much on tv tonight , but I hope you both  have a good evening .

Baz

Baz

glad you got a better nights sleep. Yes it is very light early morning, my sleep too has been disturbed lately during early mornings.

You did well walking that far and getting all your jobs done too. That's good you are happy with your garden now.

Yes Bake Off was good and we had fun on the forum too. Yes shame we can't get rid of misery though!

Why no HOtel Inspector? That's a shame. Has the series ended now?

Yes tv not much good again, will probably go for "Who do you think you are" on bbc.

Hicky

Sorry you have a urine infection, hope the antbiotics soon clear it up.

That is such good news you are enjoying your family being around and they are helping get so many jobs done in house and garden. How sweet Elara helps with the watering.

That is brilliant you are starting to enjoy food again, a good idea to have takeaways with there being so many of you now.

Hot here today, went to my friends and MrM helped her put together her garden furniture, it was complicated as the instructions were wrong and the screws didn't line up, but it was quite a cheap one. He did manage it in the end though, then he cut her grass for her.

Had advcocado, toast, salad for tea, and daughter got some Krispy Creme delievered in a nice celebratory box to celebrate son getting his degree.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Good Evening, Mollie & Baz.

Not had a bad day really, had the usual brekki Frostires and Ensure drink, have been in the garden but was too breezy so sat on one of the swivel seats, in the gazebo or manshed.

Think #2 son is coming the weekend with his son, they all love the garden, cant keep latest grandaughter out of it, checking the peae and rasperries daily.

My #4 son is so good, couldn't wish for a better carer, incredible.

Have binned the Echo/Lloyds direct pharmacy delivery, waste of time.

Had SIL here today as well, she looks after Mrs H very well, and has got her meds on a daily spreadsheet.

Still playing chess with #5 son, good fun.

It's great that #4 son can use our car as he doesn't have one

Son making Spag Boll for tea, so will try a little.

Hicky

Hicky

I am so pleased to see the family are giving both you and MrsH lots of support.

HOpe you managed to eat some of the sphag bol. Remember how Emptybox always had that on Saturday nights?

I see you have your little helper checking on your peas and raspberries. She just sounds so cute.

Hope Baz slept alright and is having an okday.

Hot today, so sat on the swingchair under my sunumbrella. Just took dog a walk now it has cooled down as MrM is fixing a new toilet seat.

Had advocoda, toast, salad and camenbert for tea. And a bag of cheeese and onion crisps for a treat.

Nothing of interest on tv, but I have been outside late today.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  How are we all today ?I slept quite well , and managed to get in a three and a half k walk before the weather heated up .Apart from that , I managed to get the connection on my old hosepipe to work , so I washed the patio, and watered the plants and pots ready for the hot weekend ! I still had to use the watering can for the front garden , but every bit helps . In addition to that I’ve fed the birds , done a load of washing and cleaned the kitchen . I had some nice lamb chops and new potatoes for my lunch …..and just some ironing to do later , then that’s me done for this Friday .Given the hot  weather I doubt I will be going forward a walk tomorrow ….unless I can get going really early .

Mollie , I bet you are out there swinging in your garden seat ….and I’m well jealous !How is your daughter doing ? I hope you can join us for Gogglebox tonight .And in case you are interested , Ros and I will be watching the programme before that too …Posh Houses ….if you are , we will be in a thread entitled Zoo etc .By the way , the Hotel Inspector is back next Thursday .Hicky , I echo what Mollie said , I’m so glad you are getting lots of help ….and enjoying time with your sons . By the way , it was very nice to *meet* you ….you are exactly how I imagined .

Well a full evenings viewing for me ….so have a good one .

Baz

Baz

I see you have had your usual Busy Bee type day.   And well done getting your hosepipe connection to work.

No proper walk for me as it was too hot, but did a little slow stroll with the doggie. You are right I was in the swingchair, but it is more of a rocker now than a swing , as one side broke, but it was well used and is very comfy to sit in, so I don't mind.

Glad to see HOtel Inspector is back on again next week, so I will join you for that.

Look forward to seeing you for Gogglebox.

HOpe Hicky had a good day with his family.

I just had advocado toast and salad for tea tonight as I didn't feel like cooking much, our kitchen is in the sun in the afternoons, so gets very hot.

Daughter went for test today at hospital, she said they confirmed Crohns, and said she would need to finish the 3 months of antibiotics, then see consultant for their choice of treatment in August.

Time to get a few jobs done before Gogglebox.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky . It’s too bliddy hot !I managed to get a 3 k walk before breakfast . I slapped in the factor 50 , my sun hat , and chose the most shady route I could find , but it was 73 degrees by the time I got home again , and I was shattered ! Apart from that , all I’ve done is a small load of washing , and watered the pots on the patio. I had some pork steaks for lunch , and now I’m collapsed on the sofa .I hope you are all having a good Sunday, and managing to stay cool  .

Mollie , glad your daughter is gradually getting sorted .Sorry your swing has turned into a rocker .Shame you couldn’t join us last night , it was a giggle .Hicky , can’t believe they put you on the wrong antibiotics .I hope whatever they have swapped you to is working now , and you feel a bit better .

Well, I’m not sure what I’m watching tonight …not a lot on , but sure I will find something .Have a good evening both …and stay safe .

Baz

Baz

I agree, far too hot for me too. I spent most of the afternoon sitting in the garage because that was cooler than the house. I sit in my mums old chair as it is very comfy. MrM sits on her old stool and does his oil paintings, so we are lucky to have the garage to go to in hot weather.

You did well doing a 3k walk today, not for me in this weather! No wonder you were shattered after.

I did 4 loads of washing and pegged it out early before the sun was so strong, will leave it on the line now until early tomorrow morning.

I have ordered a cooler blanket off Amazon, it arrives tomorrow, daughter had one and said its good, so will let you know how I get on with it.

I am watching Antiques Roadshow now, then the new series on itv at 9pm.

HOpe Hicky is enjoying his son's visit this weekend. (think it is the who moved to Cornwall. If so, he has travelled a long way). Let's hope these new antibitocis do the trick and help clear his urine infection.

Goodnight Baz, hope you sleep well.

M

Hi Mollie & Baz.

Wrong sun Mollie, it was no.#2 with the Posche, brings lots of goodies for me, Raspberry tart, Mr Kipplings Frenc Fancies and loads more, also the Happy Monkey smoothies.

Have been outside with us all, my #4 son pruning the vines etc and feeding plants, he went to Carr Farm and they all had brekkie, then picked up a load of food to have on the BBQ later.

I am eating better so am impriving day by day, still on the Antibiotics.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Its so hot. I went for my walk this morning …did 3 k …..and was home again by 9.45 ….but it was boiling by then ….and it felt like there was no air . Aside from that , I’ve hosed  the front and back gardens, done a small load of washing , dusted and cleaned bathroom and kitchen….I even managed to squash some more pruning in the garden bin .Just them to put out now , and that’s me done for the day !

I slept really badly last night , but finally fell asleep about 3 o’clock …only to be woken up by a phone all at 5.30 this morning ...scared the heck out of me…I thought something had happened to the kids  ! 😱😱It was a recorded message saying there was a power cut and they were working on it ! I knew my power wasn't off, so I thought it was a hoax ....but I had another one at 8 o'clock saying it was fixed ...so I checked it out online ....and sure enough, there had been a major outage in my town  ....just not me !

Mollie , I’ve never heard of a cooler blanket , so will be interested to know what you think of it .I’ve recorded the new itv series ….but not watched it yet …did you enjoy it . How is your daughter doing today ?Hicky , can you send number 2 son over here please ….mind you , I’ve already got Mr Kiplings fancies for tea today .Glad you appetite is improving Hicky ….sounds like the antibiotics are starting to kick in .

Providing I don’t melt I will be watching Escape to the Chateau and 24 hours in police custody tonight .Have a good evening both ….and take care .

glad to see your son made sure you are well stocked up with cakes and Monkey drinks again and your other son stocked you up for the BBQ.  So glad to hear you are getting your appetite back again and beginning to enjoy your food again, and are improving. How did the food go on your new BBQ?  How are your Ozzie family settling in?

BAz

far too hot for me too today, didn't sit out in the garden for long, moved to the garage, then eventually indoors.

You got a lot done, even a walk, considering how hot it has been.

It was over 30c here  yesterday, and just as bad today.

I too hardly slept at all last night, was wondering around at 3am, then settled on listening to my radio.

How annoying you were awake till about 3am then a stupid irrelevant phone call woke you. Good job you didn't lose your electric though. Hope you have a better night tonight

I am watching Long Lsot Family on itv now.

Just had a halloumin salad sandwich for tea, as it was too hot to cook today.

Not looking forward to another sweltering night.

we have an extreme weather warming for hot weather here, the 1st ever!

Goodnight both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky . I slept a little better last night ….but it was very hot ! It was a bit cooler this morning , but now the sun is back and temperature is due to be back in the 80s .I haven’t done much today …no walk …I’ve decided to have a couple of days off .So I did a bit more in the garden while it was cooler ,cleaned kitchen , done a load of washing and ironing , and anti bac’d the shopping delivery ..and aside from emptying a bin , that’s me done for the day . And I just had some nice M&S bacon chops for  lunch . I hope everyone else is having a nice Wednesday .

Mollie, I hope you are managing to keep cool down there….at least the end of the heatwave is in sight . I enjoyed Bake Off last night , but didn’t agree with the result.   How is your daughter doing ?Hicky , I hope you are continuing to improve .

Not much on tv tonight , but I think I might give the new George Clark a whirl .Have a good evening both …take care .

Baz

Evening All

Ozy family, well settled in, and so good-looking after the 2 of us.

They have started the children in childcare, as the girl has always been in childcare in Oz.

Baz, why are you using Fahrenheit, not sure what country uses 'F' not the uk.

Strange
i got some appetite back tonight, had some cottage pie then jelly a

nd ice cream, then a jam tart.

I have made a small list of foods i might fancy like cottage pie, Sushi, Corn on the cob, Walls steak pie, a pork pie.

Not so easy to catch the Sushi in store / on the shelf.

I have got my new reclining chair with head rest, nice.

Hicky

Baz

glad you slept a bit better last night. I had 2 fans on and my cooler blanket over my legs did seem to help where the fan was hitting it. I don't blame you not going for a walk today, I didn't either. It was as much as I could do to clear up,  get the washing done, and make a salad sandwich for tea. Will be glad when this awful heatwave is over.

Was it Ocado delivery you had?  I haven't had a delivery for an age as I have been going to different supermarkets to pick up stuff when needed. My annual pass for Morrisons was due for renewal but thought I could leave renewing that and so save a bit of money until autumn, may as well go to the shops whilst its summer.

Yes Bake Off was such a good show last night but shame about who left. What they made was making me hungry though as it looked absolutly yummy.

Daughter about the same which is to be expected whilst she is on these strong antibiotics but she did manage a visit to tescos yesterday, so is resting today.

I agree, not much on tv so think I will grab your idea and give George a go. (if you get what  I mean)...

Hicky

glad the Oz family have settled in well and are helping you out so much.

Thats good they got a childcare place, it will keep the kiddies occupied and give mum and dad a bit of a break too.

Nice to hear you are making a list of foods you fancy and you managed cottage pie and jelly for tea. I expect you lost a lot of weight whilst unwell, so need to build your strenght up again.

We always used to use farenheit in this country before they decided to change us, so like Baz,  the term 80's makes sense to me. I think they stilll use farenheight in the States too.

We used to  get confused when we drove through Ireland and the road signs one minute would show the distance in miles, then a few miles further on, change to kilometres.   (pre satnav days).  We loved living in Ireland the year we were there.

Your new recliner chair sounds nice. We bought our son a new gaming chair for his brithday and he loves it. Is yours a gaming type chair, I think his reclines a little but not all the way back and has a head rest.

Had brekkie in the garden whilst it was in the shade but it got too hot in the afternoon, so sat in the garage awhile then came indoors. Had salad sandwich for tea and brie with a couple of cheese biccies, as it was too hot to cook.It was 30c here again today, yuck, too hot and humid for me. Another hot one forecast tommorrow.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening All.

29c here, wow, how do you sleep in this.

Had the usual Frosties to start the day, we had a bbq for brekkie, but son had bought the wrong Irish frozen sausages, thin instead of thick, oh dear.

Midday i tried the Sushie, 1 pack was fish, the other no so left that for son, i had a couple of pieces, quaite a challenge with the wasabi and ginger and soy when you can't see, will have the rest at 7.30, might need a hand to put the bits on, loved it though.

Mrs H had a bit of good news, during tests today they said she is strong enough for another Chemo tomorrow.

Hicky

These couple of days are the anniversary on my Oz lad losing $500k as he didn't realize he had to approve a transacton, he thought he had approved it, but it asks you again to approve it and he didn't know, by the time he realized it was too late, this time it may be just a few hundred dollars, you don't know straight away, here's hoping, it doesn't really matter but would be a nice bonus.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky I had a terrible night ….its the third anniversary today But at least  it’s a bit cooler today , which is a plus . I went for a 4K walk this morning ….managed to just about get home before it warmed up again ! Apart from that , I’ve washed and ironed , cleaned kitchen and bathroom, fed birds ,and watered the pots .  I hope you are having a good day , whatever you are up to .

Mollie , hope you enjoyed the threads last night .Don’t forget it’s Gogglebox tonight ….if you fancy joining Ros and I .I have a Sainsbury order in the week, and my M&S (Ocado ) delivery at the weekend ….and so far , so good .I’m glad your daughter felt well enough to go to Tesco . My nearest supermarket is about 4 or 5 miles away , and as I don’t drive , and as the Covid figures are very high again in my area,  I don’t feel brave enough to go on the bus …..Hicky , I’m glad Mrs H is well enough for chemo ….and hope it goes well . Bummer that your son lost his money I switch between farenheight and Celsius….but get a better idea of the heat if I think F. The same goes for miles , and kilometres ….I never really got very attached to metric .

Well , it’s Gardeners World and Gogglebox for me tonight . Have a good evening both …take care .

Baz

Good Afternoon, Mollie & Baz.

Bad news on the sleeping fron Baz, a bad time all round for you.

Darn hot again here, , had some steak pie before with half a strawberry tart, how good are they, wish i could get on prescription.

Pork pie for tea with tomato, Mrs H having Chemo, had waiting to go and pick her up.

Have stopped using the incontinance pants, so uncomfy, and used to use the loo anyway so better without.

Haven't had the tv on, just cant be bothered watching it.

Hope you daughter is ok Mollie, it will take some time to master living with Crones.

It's 27.7c in my room/office/bedroom.

so pleased to hear MrsH was strong enough to get another dose of chemo. Hope it went well and she does not get too strong a reaction to it.

I am so pleased to be hearing your food menu again, a good sign you have got stronger now. Strawberry tart, sounds yummy. Shame your son bought the wrong sausages for the BBQ. I expect he has got to get used to the British packaging again now.

Yes I am sure those special pants have been uncomfy in this heat, but I guess at least you have them in reserve if you need to go out somewhere where you are going to be out for awhile.

That was a big blow losing 500k, was it to do with work or crypto?

Have the children started going to their playschool yet? Or don't they start properly until after the summer hols?

Aaaww so sad, as you pass another anniversary.

Well done managing another walk in this damn hot weather!

I too had a terrible nights sleep. When I went upstairs to bed, I thought no way can I even attempt to sleep in this sauna, so I spent the night on a chair in the lounge. It was 31c here again today, so I will sleep downstairs again. These modern houses are so badly built, they get overheated. Our old stone, over 100 year old house, was so cool compared to this awful modern one!

Hope you sleep better tonight.

That's good you are happy with your deliveris, saves you bothering going on the bus.

I too never got attached to metric.   But as I said, I know some countries haven't changed over at all.

Yes I did enjoy the threads, and am looking forward to Gogglebox. Hope there is no news items, I am avoiding the news!

Went to see my friend today, but didn't stay long as it was so hot. Also, the poor thing has to go 3 times a week for dialasis so was due to go this afternoon. MrM has been helping her with her garden.

On the way home we went to a brilliant fish and chip shop there. Me and son tried their battered halloumi and it was delcious. We also had a cheese rissole, also delcious and pineapple circles in batter. Very nice. The rest of the family had fish and chips.

I feel exhuasted from the heat and humidity today but we are due a thunderstorm and will be releived to see the back of this 30c plus week!

Have a good evening both xxx

M
