Evening Mollie.

I've got loads to do now, expecting my showmaster onions soon as well.

I believe more letters are being sent out for the vulnerable, i thing they phased them out so the supermarkets could cope, clever eh.

I only need the puffer if i am carrying or lifting, it takes my breath away.

I thought the doctor could call you to discuss the tests, no, the reception isn't allowed to discuss your medical condition at all, i was sure he was going to need an operation very soon, and i think he knew.

Poor Emptybox, of course i miss him, didn't realise it is 12 months, he would have had a terrible time with this virus scare, omg. he would have been trapped.

I'm going to make a table tomorrow, need more table space in the summerhouse, so 1 table could have another table underneath giving me shelf space which would let me use the space on the table for more seed tray, i have 2 quite large tables in the summerhouse and 2 small ones and the 2 level staging, never enough space though, outside the doors i have a work bench, also one in the garage, they wood saw machine is in the garage as well.

Watching Greg in the Pastie factory, wow, the pastry ends up with 80 layers, 1 butter the next pastry and so on.

I've ordered the next lot of ingredients for my Dan Dan Noodle meals The Sichuan Peppercorns, Plant based Tahini from toasted whole sesame seeds and chili oil.

Night all, sleep tight, stay in and stay safe.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine I managed to get the dining room window open .....and I sat by the back door for a while .....it’s really quite warm . Apart from that , I washed my bedding ....aka the fleecy blanket I throw over myself on the sofa at night Apart from that it’s just the same old , same old ....although I did manage to get a delivery slot this weekend ...which is a relief .

Mollie , I can’t believe it’s a year since emptybox died .....I know how much you both miss himSewing Bee is normally on More4 Or C4 I think ......and it should be starting soon I think . Last year was the first time I watched it , but I really enjoyed it ....so check it out when it airs Hicky , have you heard anything about your vulnerability etc yet ? My friend whose husband has a terminal degenerative disease has been waiting for quite a while to see if he can get PIP .....but I’m guessing these places are running with a skeleton staff

Hope you both have a good evening .....Great British Menu and Masterchef for me Take care

Evening Baz.

You be careful what you do, we don't want you to trip or fall.

Glad you managed to get a delivery slot, but how much of what you ordered will arrive.

I still have no letter, tons of emails which basically say, tough luck, i fwd all emails regarding my case to the MP.

Your friend should be able to get the PIP it's just getting through to the right people.

Oh, Skeleton staff, you are funny. that could come later.

When looking through the freezer meals i have stored, found a Lamb Heart Casserole, nice, going to use a lot of the meals i made in the winter so i can start making the next batch, got about 10 or more to go yet.

Made a table today to go under one of the tables in the summerhouse, finished it, took me 3 hours, but worth it, it was all just spare timber i had, got quite a stock from when we moved in and i built all the decking areas and made base frames for the garden shed, the summerhouse, the gazebo, and 70 sqm of decking.

Stay happy, keep smiling, stay in, stay safe and stay tuned in.

Hicky

Baz

take extra care whilst doing jobs like washing.

You were lucky getting a delivery spot this weekend, especially as it is Easter. But of course, in your circumstances, you would be lost without a delivery.

At least you got a bit of fresh air as you managed to open the window and sit by the door. Yes a warm day today it was,   in fact it got a bit too warm for me to sit long on the swingchair today. Can;t complain though, we are lucky to have good weather and a garden I can sit out in.

It's not too long now until you can do a bit of weight bearing is it?

Hope your friend hears soon about the PIP, how horrible for her to be kept waiting to hear about this. But DWP aren't exactly quick at the best of times and of course are bound to be even slower right now.

Hicky

You are clever making your own tables, not surprised it took you  3 hours.

Let's hope your MP can help sort this letter out for you.

Its a good job now that you have all these freezer meals stored.

Had some cheese and onion flan and boiled potatoes and veg for tea.

Watching Repair Shop now. It was so popular they now show it at a later time when more people view, which is nice.

thanks for the info Baz about Sewing Bea, I will look out for it on those channels.

Goodnight both xxx

Evening Mollie.

It was good making the table, i've got all the tools, even have an electric circular saw. had it years, never been out of the box, it was good using the hand saw, i have 3 of those, and also used the machine fastened to a proper frame, the ones that you can lower onto the wood like a chop saw, very handy, if i ever found a tool i needed i just bought it, always believed you should have the right tool for the job, it makes life so much easier.

Yes, i have loads of food to make meals, have ordered more stuff today to make the Dan Dan Noodle meal, all my lads can cook and all love spicy food, strange isn't it.

Had a reply from NHS England, sent it to the MP, he sent it on to the Surgery, but all the emails either say i'm at the back of the queue or give me loads of numbers to ring, i don't want nubers, i wan the letter to get my delivery from Sainsbury's and get o/h paid to protect me.

The MP had a reply from Sainsbury's as well, still no joy, just palming me off with how busy everyone is and how they are dealing with the most vulnerable.

That cheese and onion flan sounds nice, a great combination, always has been, i probably wouldn't have the potatoes and veg though.

Had some bacon on the BBQ again today, wow it really is far better than doing it in a frying pan.

Sleep tight, stay in and stay safe and happy.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope you are ok Baz and not doing too much, this good weather is great.

Had a nice day with 19c and sunny with a gentle breeze.

Got a few more jobs done.

Moved some seedling tomato plants from the 500ml jars to the main 10L tubs with weak feed, they will go into the 20L tubs when big enough.

Had a few deliveries, my Sichuan peppercorns came, also the chili oil and the Tahini.

Had 3 eggs on toast for brekkie, for tea took a curry from the freezer, it was a Beef Rendang, made a rice cake to have with it.

Had a letter from MP again, he had been emailing the surgery, it seems the people who are being Shielded have been overlooked and should receive a letter in the next couple of days, they are compiling a list of who is in that category.

The table i made.

Wood Table
1m long x .6m wide x .4m high.

Keep smiling, keep inside and keep safe.

Hicky

Baz

hope you are improving, and managed ok today.

Hicky

wow, what a great looking table, you are very talented.

What a fiasco this letter is, hope it is sorted soon,

You sound like you have your tomato plants well planned.

Do you have a coal BBQ or gas one? Do you wrap bacon in foil before barbequing it? We have a coal BBQ and the delivery came today, so he is readyto go, all we have to do is sort some food to go on it now.

Helped son make a roast dinner today, his yorkshire puds are delicous.

Sat on swinghchair, OH had to put shade up on it, as it was so hot in the garden today.

We had an M and S foodbox delivered today, a nice treat for Easter, with chocs, nuts, sweets, shortbread as well as basic foods. We have also been having Morrison food boxes delivere, they are good because they cover basics.

Do they clap for NHS by you? They come to their front doors to clap on our estate and have done the last 3 weeks.

Its grim out there for our key workers. So sad each time we hear another one has died.   All we can do, is do as we are told and stay home.

Watching Griff's Australian Adventure on itv now. You watching it Hicky? He is in Cairns, where you went.

Pops in quickly , cos I’m watching GBM ......./just to let Mollie know that Sewing Bee starts on BBC on the 22nd Hope you are both well and having a good evening ...I’ll pop back tomorrow

Nice to see you Baz.

glad you are enjoying GBM.

Thanks for the sewing bee info.

Perhaps if you discuss it somewhere here with the others, I could join you if you point me in the right direction ?

M

Evening Mollie.

The WHO picture was to show that they didn't think the virus was a problem and said it won't pass from human to human so we lost 6 weeks while the virus was spreading world wide, and by March the 12th it was too late the virus was world wide.

Watching Griff now, pressed back on the box and pressed the program and the ITV Hub plays the show for me, magic.

Its a gas BBQ, the bacon is thick back, i put it on the bars so the fat drops though, get smoke and flames, and it tastes yummy, also love sausages from the BBQ, or steaks, you can do veg as well, put them on whole.

I was going to order a big choc egg for o/h but they couldn't deliver till Monday, no point in that, i was going to order a box of 48 cream eggs but that was the same, so i didn't bother.

Yes, a lot of people come out to the door, over the way the feller plays music and has a microphone  and loudspeakers to talk, but they seem to be in a group, can't see that well they are about 100m away.

I see they are saying the virus must have been passed from an animal or something at one of the animal or meat markets, they must be having a laugh, as if, i don't believe that for a minute, this is a very clever virus, it didn't get this clever on it's own.

I might put the shade back on ours as well, it's not much in strong winds, bad design.

Had a vid call from Oz again this morning, Lad is working on a $300m project and his Mrs on another one the same size, massive, very busy.

Have a good evening, stay in and stay safe.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Not a brilliant day here , but I did do a load of washing , AND I changed my own dressing Felt a bit faint , but managed it , so ... Hope you are  both having a good day I can’t believe it’s Easter .....seems very strange ....mind you I don’t even know what day it is these days

Mollie , hope you are keeping well .....and yes, there will be a sewing bee thread in the Big Brother forum , and we would love it if you joined us Hicky , the table looks lovely ....but I can’t see the other clip either

Good viewing tonight GBM ...Gardeners World ...then Gogglebox  Have a good evening both and take care

Baz

Evening Baz.

That was an experience, changing your dressing, once you have done it it easier next time.

So lovely today with 21c sunny and a gentle breeze.

Made 2 sausage sandwiches on the BBQ again, so tasty.

Did more work on the Hydroponics again.

Have ordered a VonShef food mixer to do my bread and scone mixes etc, the kneading takes it's toll om me.

Managed to cut my big toe nails today, also have a big metal file which is handy, one of the people who do my nails gave oit to me, i will have a go at other toes tomorrow, keeping my leg in a position it doesn't really want to go takes it out of me.

Had a vid call from Oz, granddaughter getting good at picking out the animals and making their sounds, he is so busy he has been working through the night and trying to sleep in the morning, it's tough with little one.

Had a look in the freezer to see what meals i had, got about 6 more casserole meals and 3 currys, had a beef madras for tea with rice cake, had some lime pickle with it.

Almost another 1,000 died today, people still not being protected and keeping their distance.

This is one Easter we will want to forget i think.

Stay happy, stay in and stay safe.

The Von Chef Red food mixer

Just what i need for making dough and scones etc

Hi both xxx

Baz

well done managing to change your own dressing.   Not a pleasant experience for you I am sure, but at least you did it. Hopefully it will be more familier to you and you won't feel feint next time.

I know what you mean, it is not like Easter at all when every day is the same and you can't go out, nor have visitors.

I am not going out at all as pneumonia left me vulnerable, luckily have managed to get food now and again from deliveries but hard work finding them now.

Thanks, look forward to joining you for sewing Bee soon.

Hicky

glad you got the good weather so could do a few jobs and enjoy your sausage sandwich.

Your new mixer looks lovely, just the job to help you with your baking.

That's good you managed to make a start on your toe nails, and you did right not trying to do them all at once.

How nice you got to see your little grandaughter and her animal sounds.

Good job you have a few meals in your freezer to last until your lad drops off your shopping. But pity you couldn't sort the Easter eggs out.

Very hot in the garden today, sat out awhile on the swing chair and got washing dried. (same as I've done the rest of the week), but can't complain as at least it was nice and dry, and I am just glad me nor any of my household have to go anywhere right now.

As you say HIcky, another 1000 dead, (in hospital alone) and some not keeping their distance is scary stuff.

Watching Vera tonight. (Emptybox used to like watching Vera).

Son is doing online general knowledge quiz with his dram group tonight, so relieves the boredom for him a little and he gets to see his mates online.

Goodnight bothxxx

M

Evening Mollie.

I don't really need any shopping, i am trying to use the freezer meals up so i can start making a new stock, the freezer is full of raw foods to make my next lot, i only need eggs from the shops really, with the food mixer i can make bread easier.

Still no letter to get the Sainsbury delivery, we have ordered Β£200 worth to restock what o/h needs.

From my garden i can hear the local motorway, although it's some distance away you can hear the vehicles, it sounds lie it did before the lockdown.

I never watched Vera, yes Emptybox used to watch it.

Thats good, your son having the online quiz with the drama group, as you say, it relieves some of the boredom, good to see his mates again.

Sleep tight, stay happy and stay in. Have a great Easter Lockdown.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope you are ok Baz and Mollie, been a nice day here anyway.

Had smoked streaky bacon on the BBQ, 5mm thick, the real McCoy, it makes a lovely brekkie, had one of my own bread rolls, will make them bigger next time.

For tea o/h brought some burgers in from a small garden center with a food hall, got baking kits for bread, cakes etc.

Been planting seeds in rockwool blocks, some peas as not many germinated in the raised bed, the sweetcorn seeds i put in rockwool have germinated, and some Celery i put in mini pots has all germinated, problem is the mini pots have dozens of seedlings.

The greenhouse vine is growing like mad, some shoots are a foot long, i saw one with 4 fruit bunches, will have to sort that out.

Ordered 2 new 2 LB bread tins, last time i saw them they were out of stock, but they are back in now, just what i need.

Had a vid call this morning from Oz, so good to be able to see them all so easy.

Why we stopped using Comfort Fabric Conditioner, it messed up the machine, and ruins the clothes.

Hi both

Baz

hope you are feeling ok today and did not overtire yourself.

Hicky

thanks for the link, I did not know this about fabric conditioner. I don't tend to use it now, but do use a laundery tablets with perfume added. I do prefer to air dry too. Only use drier if I have to.Think I will throw away the fabric conditioner I have now.

You were right about cooking bacon in the BBQ. OH cooked some for the family today and it came out really well.

Nice day here today, in fact very hot in the garden. Too hot to sit out long.

We are very close to the motorway and today it has been very quiet, only the odd lorry by the look of it , so at least its quieter in the garden now.

Do you have to wait for the letter before you can get the Β£200 order? Delivered I assume? Our local sainsburys now do click and collect but it is really hard to get that and impossible to get delvieried without the special letter.

That's good all your seeds are coming on well and your greenhouse vine too.

OH made the BBQ for tea, I had veggie burger and hallumin with pitta and salad, He also BBQ'ed some pineapple.

How nice to see BGT back again.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Good Evening Mollie.

We have 2 massive bottles of that Comfort, can't put it down the drain, or toilet, will put containers in the bin Thursday.

Yes, defo a lot nicer off the BBQ, the bacon, and everything else.

With the letter not arring yet the order will stay in the basket so to speak, o/h has had holidays deducted from her holiday roster, she had told them she didn't want the holiday periods changed and would take unpaid leave, without the letter we will be losing income and holiday times.

BBQ'd Pineapple sounds good, i have seen them do that.

I was going to have place fillets for tea with a hot and sour soup from the freezer, when o/h brought the 4 steak burgers with 4 fresh batches in, it all changed rather quick, soup back in freezer, fish stys in fridge, will make fish butties for brekkie tomorrow.

Just watching whatever is on if nothing i will watch recordings.

Have a good evening, stay in and stay safe.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope you are OK Baz and are managing, such a struggle for you.

Not too bad today, more cloud that sun but 16c and a gentle breeze.

Had fish sandwiches for brekkie, plaice fillets, nice.

Been doing work on the Hydroponic side sorting out some Sweetcorn seedlings.

O/H made a lovely roast lamb dinner, tried to post it on twitter but it's not sending, for some reason.

Loads of people here been playing Bingo in the road for over 2 hours this afternoon, crazy people.

Got 2 Amazon deliveries today, the light so my lad in Oz can see us on the tablet and a jar of Chili paste, didn't know it had arrived till i looked on the web for tracking and it said delivered, it was on the front step, don't think they rang the bell.

Just watching Tipping point Lucky Stars.

If the twitter post works i will post it in here.

Will have to see what is on TV tonight.

Have a good Easter Monday tomorrow and stay safe.

Hicky

Evening Mollie and Hicky  Cloudy day here ....but no substantial rain , so far I had a dreadful night , 2 hours sleep at the most , so I have had a very , very lazy day . Only done a small load of washing and antibac the kitchen . My shopping delivery came yesterday , and while there were a handful of substitutes there were no unavailable items , so pretty good all in all . Hope you are both having a good Easter Sunday

Mollie , hope you are keeping well . I like Vera too....but I wasn’t too impressed with Gogglebox on Friday ....I found it a bit somber in places , and not enough giggles ....but that tiger guy was Hicky , the thought your lamb dinner is making my mouth water ....lamb is my favourite meat ....with lashings of mint sauce  Hope you’ve heard about your Sainsbury order/letter

Not a lot  on tv tonight ....so going to watch Chris Packham on bbc4 . Have a good evening both , whatever you are doing and

Baz

HAPPY EASTER BOTH xxx

A bunny piccie and joke for you. Our house bunny looks just like this one. Ginger with a whilte belly you can see when he lies down

Hi Hicky

what a shame work stuff is so complicated for your OH without this letter. And of course with it being Easter time, this letter is even more delayed. Hope it doesn't take too much longer to turn up.

Fish sandwiches for brekkie is a bit of a change for you.

That's nice OH made you a nice Easter roast, pity we don't get to see the photo though.

Bingo in the road! Hope they kept well away from each other. And hope it was quiet car wise for them.

Yes they do just leave parcels on the doorstep now and it is hard to hear them knock. I find I have to keep checking in case we miss them. OH nearly left his compost out all night last night.

I am watching Race Across the World tonight. Then the period drama on itv.

Hope Baz is coping ok. So difficult for her.

Not a bad day today, it was actually too hot the last 2 days, but has cooled down today, so much nicer.

Have eaten too much choccy today, daughter got some Easter egs delivered online.

Didn't do much today, sat in swing chair awhile.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Baz.

Sorry you didn't get much sleep, it really is important, hope you get some tonight.

You should have a lazy day, every day, why not, you need a hobby to keep you amused and it makes time pass more quick.

Glad your shopping came, that helps.

I have the picture of my dinner, o/h made it today.

I couldn't get twitter to send it, then i found out my Mobile had connected to the wrong Wifi, it connected to BB Open Fon or something, but they don't work.

Sunday Lamb Roast, love Mint Sauce and lots of Gravy.

Have a good evening and a good Easter Monday.

I've been eating Single Origin Dar Chocolate Teardrop

Hicky

Evening Mollie.

We posted togethert again so i missed your post.

Yes, might get a letter next week or o/h will be out shopping again.

I only had fish for brekkie as o/h took it out of the freezer the other day and gave it to me, no idea why as i have enough food the all of 2020, but then brought in burgers so i had to leave it in the fridge till today.

Did you see the picture, i posted it in the end.

The roads here are very quite it is all a cul de sac so only traffic is for the houses here.

They didn't seem to stay apart for Bingo, a lot of people  and children everywhere, i kept away, lots of people everywhere sitting on chairs playing Bingo for a couple of hours.

Been eating chocolate coated nuts, o/h gave me them as there is too much chocolate on them, small nuts, she likes big nuts.

Nighty night, sleep tight, stay in and safe.

Hicky

Evening Everyone.

Not bad today at 12c with sun and a moderate breeze.

Did sausage and bacon on the BBQ for brekkie, lovely in a toasted sandwich.

Had a vid call from Oz this morning, fantastic.

Did more work on the Hydro tubs, made a template from Aluminium to drill the overflow hole, so they would all be the same.

Ordered more disposable gloves and hand sanitiser.

Had hot & sour soup for tea starters then a bowl of beef casserole.

Might make some stuffed peppers tomorrow as i have a 4 pack to use up, have got mince in the freezer and lots of nice spices.

Watched tipping point, now on Antiques road trip.

Keeping my eye on those vine shoots, wow, some over 1ft long, problem is they won't stop growing, it's like Ivy.

Have a good evening, stay in and stay safe.

Hicky

Baz

sorry to hear you had such a bad night, you must feel really tired with only 2 hours kip and it makes it such a long night when you can't sleep. Hope you did better last night. Could you not sleep because of physical discomfort from your injury or was it because you are only on the sofa?

That is good your shopping came and was ok.

Yes Gogglebox was not quite up to its usual all round humourous standards but bits of it were funny. Vera was good though.

I am going to watch that new drama tonight about the guy who fiddled to win Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

I enjoyed watching BGT last night, its good to see it back again.

As a vegetarian, the lamb would do nothing for me, but the rest of the meal would. I love a roast dinner without the roast. My fave meal out  is going to the Toby carvary, the family all have the meat dinner and I have the veggie one.

Is it time to start that partial weight bearing yet? How did you get on bringing your shopping in? Must of been difficult for you.

Hicky

Yes I saw the photo and wow, that looks like a real treat of an Easter Meal your OH made for you, bet you enjoyed it.  Wish I could of joined you. You could of had my share of the meat but I'd of devoured all the rest of it.

I googled your Teardrop Easter egg, it looks lovely. You did well having that as well as ending up with the choccy nuts.

Did you get your gloves and sanitiser from Amazon?

I see your hydro tubs are keeping you busy.

Good job you kept away from the Bingo lot, sounds far to risky  if they aren't keeping their distance and kiddies are around too.

Shame if your OH has to go to the shops. Do you only want sainsburys shopping or would you consider another supermarket?

Sunny today but the wind was chilly, luckily our garden is sheltered though, so I was still able to sit on the swinghchair. Had an oder from asda come today, I ordered it weeks ago though, it is far more difficult to get deliveries now though. Took us ages to wipe down every piece of shopping with Dettel wipes. Had a few subs and a few out of stock, but not too many so I was quite pleased.

Did you watch BGT on Saturday night?

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Yes, had such a job trying to post the picture of the meal on twitter, eventually discovered the mobile had connected to the wrong Wifi, crazy, they have a mind of their own.

The Teardrop Easter egg is dark choc, good for you but it stops you eating too much.

The Gloves and sanitiser are from UK Meds. ukmeds.co.uk i should have got 15% off but forgot to put the code Easter in at checkout, we have had masks of them before.

O/H doesn't like shopping at the other supermarkets, she only trusts Sainsbury's.

Glad you got some shopping, yes, a pain wiping all down, but i think you should to be safe.

I'm expecting quite a few deliveries, the last delivery of sanitiser by Royal Mail never arrived, they are hopeless you can't get tracking info from them.

At least with APC of DPD or Hermes or Amazon at least you will get it delivered.

I didn't see BGT didn't realise it was on.

Have a nice evening, sleep tight and be safe.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Amazing what a half decent nights sleep can do I had a busy and productive morning .....washing , cleaned kitchen top to bottom,  and the loo , I even managed to hoover .....all from my four wheels On top of that I changed my dressing ( go me ) and even sat by the back door and got some sun and vitamin D  Now I’m slobbed out in front of the TV getting a phd in being lazy Hope everyone else is having a good day too

Mollie , my husband and I used to enjoy a carvery ....we used to take his uncle and aunt to one .....because , as you say , you can have what you want , and what quantity you want And if you don’t want the lamb , I’ll have yours I’m sorry you are having a hard time getting deliveries ....I’ve been lucky enough to get one a week from Sainsburys ...so far !Hicky , hope your sanitiser arrived safely .i like Antique Road Trip too Do you watch Great British Menu ? I like that they have Susan Calman as the presenter this year ....she never fails to put a smile on my face

Anyway , stay safe both and have a good evening

Baz

Evening Baz.

Glad you managed some sleep last night, you are doing far too much, you don't get a medal for wearing yourself out.

It was only 11c today but sunny with a gentle breeze, very nice.

My Shawmaster onions arrived, had to plant them in temporary 9cm pots till May, 25 of them.

Stood them outside in the nice weather.

My VonShef food mixer machine arrived, made some bread rolls, keep forgetting the oven is way over temperature, used some 6 seeded flour to try it out.

Had egg sandwiches for brekkie, for tea had some hot & sour soup then some beef and gravy.

No, Sanitizer never arrived, strange, DPD said they hadn't received the parcel.

Yes, i watch the great british menu, interesting.

Keep well, stay calm stay in and stay safe.

glad to hear you had a good nights sleep and so got a lot done. You are doing amazing considering you are doing it all on those 3 wheels. But remember, as HIcky says, you don't get a medal for overdoing it, so take care.

Its a good job you are getting your sainsburys once a week whilst you are not mobile. You really need it.

Hicky

What a shame you forgot to put your discount in for the ukmeds, but at least they had what you needed.

Hope your Vonshef is of good use to you.

Nice day here again today so sat on swingchair inbetween sorting washing and peeling veg. Cool in the wind though.

Had veggie burger for tea with new potatoes and carrots and family had sausages. Then daughter melted some choccy we had left from Christmas and we had it with strawberries from yesterday's delivery. Yummy they were.

Going to watch Part 2 of Quiz. I enjoyed it last night, I never realised the fiddles going on behind the scenes for Who Wants to be a Millionaire. They even had syndicates to help people get onto the show as well as for Phone a Friend. I think Michael Sheen was great as Chris Tarrant.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Not only forgot to put the discount code in, it wasn't delivered either today, DPD should have delivered but they hadn't been given the parcel, oh dear.

Made some bread rolls using the VonShef food mixer, it's nice, it will be getting a lot of use.

Choccy left from christmas, are you kidding, wow.

Will record the quiz for later, of course they will find a way to cheat, bound to.

Think i had too uch dark chocolate last night, harder to sleep.

Sleep tight, stay in and stay safe.

Hicky

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  How are you both today ?A quieter day chez Baz .....but I did do a load of washing and cleaned the kitchen surfaces ....apart from that I’ve managed to get a bed sock on my ankle ....and sat by the back door and ate my lunch It was nice to hear other people , obviously going for their constitutional ....and got my binoculars out and did a bit if bird watching It’s amazing how little things can suddenly give so much pleasure ....lesson learned I hope Oh and I actually managed to put one foot outside the back door ....obviously not weight bearing ....and hanging on to the door handle ....but it felt like a major breakthrough...how silly is that

Mollie and Hicky , don't worry , I’m not really overdoing it ....everything is done mostly from my chair ....although I can partial weight-bear in a couple of days , so I’m trying to stand more now ....stork like  It’s GBM and MC tonight , so easy viewing ....have a good evening both

Baz

Evening Baz.

It's been rather nice here today at 14c with sun all day and a gentle breeze.

Put the seedlings out for the afternoon sun.

Had bacon on the BBQ again, made a sandwich, nice.

For tea decided on stuffed peppers as i had 3 bell peppers to use up, had the mince, rice, chili , onions etc so i made 6 halves and have a load of filling over.

Putting a bed sock on is a big thing, haven't you got the 2 crutches you need so you can support yourself and walk using your good leg, you could go outside then couldn't you.

Just take care, take it easy and stay happy.

Aaaww how sweet you managed to get a bedsock on and do a bit of bird watching.  I love to see the birds and I have noticed how much they are singing lately. Are they singing more because it is quieter now with less car polution, or is it just that we can hear them singing more now without the backgroud noise? We currently live close to a motorway so the difference is extremely noticable. When I have been sitting in the swinghchair the last few days 2 lovely pigeons have come to feed. One usually sits on the wall or on the floor as a look out whilst the other feeds, but today both of them managed to eat together for awhile.

Its not silly at all feeling good at getting one foot outside the door, each little achievment forward means you are making good progress.

That's good it is so close to partial weight bearing time for you soon. I expect it will feel strange for you when you first do it.

Enjoy your tv.

It is the Quiz for me again tonight, been so good to have it to watch 3 nights in a row. An excellent series.

I saw Sewing Bee advertised, think it is on bbc1 next week.

Hicky

that is good you got nice weather, especially as it helps the seedlings.

My OH's carrots/potatoes and grass seed are all starting to come through now.

I think DPD are having problems as I was due a Morrisons food box today . DPD texted me yesterday to say they would text me before 11am to give a delivery time slot today. No text and no delivery. So I have emailed Morrisons to see what has happened. We have had a few Morrisons food boxes recently and they have been fine, so not sure whats happened this time.

HOpe your delivery turns up soon.

That is good your Vonshef is going to get well used.

Lovely day here again, so went on swingchair with my book. Had salad and cheese pitta bread for tea, followed by strawberries and melted chocolate again. Delicious.

Your stuffed peppers tea sounds nice. Bet you enjoyed it.

Time to watch the Quiz now.

Goodnight both xxx

Evening Mollie.

No deliveries, DPD haven't received the parcel, the UK Meds up, got a message all staff are working from home, oh dear, that won't get me the parcel will it, had sent them an email, says they will get back in 2 to 5 days.

Thats good, your o/h's carrots, pots and grass seed are coming up, grass seed, what.

Yes, DPD do send a text message, but they have to get the parcel, first.

Had a swing on the swingseat, weather great.

Greenhouse growing like mad, buds on the outside vine now so that should be taking off soon, will have to control it better this year, i did stop all the branches last year but they just grow a new shoot, they just wan't stop growing.

Strawberries and melted chocolate, omg thats yummy.

I froze what was left from the stuffed peppers and pepper filling, 3 containers.

Had a call from the MP's secretary, filled her in with where we are up to, without further instructions from the Gov we can't get special delivery.

Have a good evening, and stay safe.

Hicky

Evening All.

Hope you are ok Baz and managing with your boot etc.

Another nice day here 19c but my thermometer said 21c sunny all day with a gentle breeze.

Put the plants out to sunbathe again, will post a picture.

Had bacon eggs and black pud for brekkie.

O/H went to get an early shop from Sainsbury's, got a good shop, took an hour to put it all away, the only thing she couldn't get was self raising flour, strange.

She bought pork sausage meat and lots of flaky/puff pastry, had sausage rolls for tea with a jam turnover with the bit of pastry left over, am full now.

My baby onions are coming on (sets), my Asparagus seems to have given up, mind you i think i have buried the plants by adding tons of compost, will use the raised bed for something else.

Had a little time on the Swing-bench, a glorious day, going to change clothes into summer attire tomorrow, weather looks reasonable.

Seedlings getting some sun
Seedlings having some sun today, bless them.

hope  you are ok today and continuing to make good progress.

HIcky

great photo of all your variety of seedlings there.

Shame about your asparagus, but at least everything else appears to be coming on well.

My DPD parcel turned up today. Hope yours turns up soon.

Glad you got the good weather, we did too today , so I too had a nice go on the swingchair.

What a pity despite the phone call from the secretary, you still have not made much progress with the letter.

Good job your OH was able to get the shopping sorted, I guess it makes it easeir that she is very familiar with the layout of the store. HOpe it wasn't busy when she went so she could avoid others. Did she choose to wear a mask/gloves?

My lads birthday today, but no going out for a meal this lockdown year. Luckily I had managed to get some party food on my asda order, so we had that for tea, eg...mozarella sticks, pork pies, Southern chicken strips, pizza, oven rolls, salad and daughter made him a choccy cake.

Went short walk with son and OH to post box, neighbours have pictures in windows of rainbows that children have drawn for NHS, and cuddly toys for kiddies to look at whilst out on their walk. We have put a few teddies in our windows for the kiddies to see.

Not much to watch on tv tonight.

Goodnight both xxx

Evening Mollie.

Have more seedlings than that, a few more trays but they are too small to put out in the sun yet.

My parcel hasn't reached DPD yet so no chance of delivery, all my other deliveries have made it.

Yes, talking about the shopping in store, she made the list out going from the first aisle as you go in, she used the personal scan unit that you take with you, how on earth she got it all in her own bags into 1 trolly, i didn't ask because it took 10 minutes to bring the bags into the house, and i mean big bags, some i couldn't lift.

She was at the Store by 7.15am but they didn't open till 7,45, she could get in with her staff pass, plus all the security know her anyway, she has been there a lot longer than they have.

Happy Birthday to your Son, shame you all had to celebrate by staying in but at least you are all together, thats real party food, brill.

Music playing in the road again, with Disney Characters dancing in the street.

Just watching whatever comes on the TV, been going to bed a lot earlier as i get bored.

Have received a new appointment for my eye clinic, 28th April.

Keep safe and stay happy.

Hicky

afternoon Mollie and Hicky  How are you both today ? Guess who has been up on her feet today...albeit with the walker My friend (the nurse) came , instead of the carer , and maintaining social distancing , showed me how much weight to put on it . Got to do this for another three weeks ....but at least it gives my rear a rest Apart from that , I’ve cleaned the kitchen, changed my dressings and done a load of washing .....and not much else

Mollie , glad your parcel arrived ok and belated happy birthday to your son Yes, Sewing Bee starts next week ....something to look forward to Hicky , sorry your package didn’t get there yet ....but glad your OH managed to get the shopping.

Gardeners World , Masterchef final , Great British Menu and Gogglebox tonight ...so a good nights viewing Have a nice evening both and take care

Baz

Evening Baz.

Glad you are more mobile, they say, small steps will get you there.

Glad the nurse gave you instructions on how to manage with the walker.

Not too bad here today, 16c sunny intervals and a moderate breeze.

Did sausages on BBQ for brekkie.

The package with the spray and gloves came this morning.

Made this Crispy Chili Beef for tea, did a rice cake to go with it, so spicy and yummy.

Don't do too much now, just take it easy, no medals for home hero's.

Hicky
