Good Evening Emptybox & Mollie.

I'm sure C&P could make a go of it, just iron out a few differences.
I bet Chantelle still takes a good pic.

A strange day at work with no live feed.
Planning the next stages of the garden, but the rest is easier, might not install another decking, have no reason to.

Pizza hut sounds good Mollie, a fiver is reasonable these days.

You don't go on the road on a bike do you?, horrified at the thought, as bikes in general don't exist on the road, you will get run over.

It was pretty stormy here earlier, hope the wind dies down.
The Gazebo company have asked me to take a photo of the bad stitching and email it to them.
I'll do that tomorrow.
Hicky
Good Evening/Afternoon Emptybox & Mollie.
Sent the pics to the Pagoda company that made the Gazebo.
Had a reply, they are sending me a roof vent canopy, 2 new curtains and some more curtain rings.
Went to B&Q for some longer screws to fasten the Gazebo legs down, very strong winds here.
Went past Burgar bar, bought 2 to bring home.
My lad in Oz has seen the pics of the garden, very impressed.
Just eating a jar of large green olives stuffed with Feta cheese, not bad either.

Need another tonne of blue slate now, have run out, need 40 more bags for now.

I see they are having another CBB in January, great stuff.
They are pleased with the ratings.

Have been changing the dressing on my wound every day, it has dried up now, but don't want to leave it uncovered yet.
Hicky
Hi Hicky.
I forgot to ask about your wound. Glad it's not too bad.

Has CBB been confirmed? I thought it was just a rumour.
Is this on Channel 4 or Five?
They'll have to dig Big Brother up, if it's on CH4.

Wet here again today.
We've had some short sunny spells, but everytime I've thought about going out, we got another heavy shower.

Great news about your Gazebo, and a very fast  response.

I see the Chantelle & Preston story is in this week's OK. I haven't seen it, but the headline is misleading. It suggests they are getting back together, but in the interview they say they are just talking at this stage. Supposed to be some good piccies though.

They had the BB wrap party last night, but Chantelle didn't go.
Here's some photos from Sunshines FB -  http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=26030&id=133914463312782&l=726bdac582#!/album.php?aid=26030&id=133914463312782
There are loads more on Wenn etc.

*Hicky's OH BD 6 days.....and counting*
emptybox
Hi Emptybox.

My wound seems ok, it's dried up, just keeping a non stick dry dressing on it with porous tape to hold it.

I think it's confirmed more or less.
http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/b...y+%28Unreality+TV%29

I'm very pleased with the fast response, it's a cracking Gazebo.

Don't think C&P are back together yet, the papers tell you anything.
Still don't know if that twitter of Chantelle's is real or not.

Love Sunshine and her dress at the wrap party, seems a really nice girl.
Hicky
Good evening all
well what a wet day today, it rained non stop, and me and  son got soaked going to college to register him, because you can never park near the college.   And when we got there, we had gone to the wrong place, so had to drive somewhere else. But all done now and he starts next week.

Hicky...
glad to hear the gazebo people are getting you sorted quickly.
you need another 40 bags? Surprising how much you need to cover your garden.
I hope you are paying attention to Emptybox's countdown calendar for your OH's birthday.
Glad to hear the wound dried up ok, you were lucky it was no worse than it was.

Emptybox
hope the wet weather doesn't mean you are getting behind now.
Thanks for the wrap party piccies, very interesting. I wonder if Chantelles absence has something to do with her and Preston?

I liked Sunshine too Hicky. She should of stayed in that house a lot longer than she did imo.

Have been dead bored with tv and the lack of BB tonight.  the only thing I found to watch was Come dine with Me.

goodnight all. xx
M
And it's Hello to Emptybox & Mollie.

Happy Wednesday again, lovely day.

Oh Well, if there's no CBB in Jan that will be a blow.

It's strange id Chantelle isn't on Twitter, why would people pretend to be her?
The mind boggles.

Don't you have an umbrella or 2 in the car Mollie?, it's standard kit in ours, wouldn't be without it, comes in handy at times.

The problem with the slate/stone is that it covers very little, 1 bag only covers 0.4sq mtr, which on course is 2.5 bags a square metre, I need a tonne for now, but for the rest after that I would need a couple of tonne, but can't get blue slate as it would be too much and boring.
Will have to look into what to do with the patio area by the house, it has flags at the Mo but needs recovering.

I watched CDWM, it was good, with Debbie.

Good evening all

Hicky
yes it is a shame we wont get treated to Celeb BB this winter.
have you done any gardening today Hicky?

it was much better weather wise, here today, windy, but dry.

Hope it was dry up north, so Emptybox can catch up work wise.

I do try and keep an umbrella in the car, but always forget and take it out again.
I used daughters bike to go to my mums today. Am waiting for OH to fix my puncture, dont have a clue how to do it. I dont go on the main roads on my bike Hicky, I just wheel across them, the main roads are so busy here, really huge lorries, wouldnt go on them on my bike. I just go down the lane on it, then on the pavement.

I had a nice cheese and onion quche for dinner tonight, with sweet potato, peas, sweetcorn, and grilled tomato. I eat half a big one though...., oh dear, it is full of calories. But I got it because it was half price at tescos.   It was yummy though.

TV boring yet again tonight, I guess we have IACGMOH, to look forward to soon.

goodnight all xx
M
Evening.

It was showery here this morning, but dry this afternoon, so I got a bit done anyway.

Hope your OH fixes your puncture Mollie.
It's years since | had to repair a puncture, but i seem to remember it involves a bucket of water to find the hole, some chalk to mark it, then you glue a patch on.
Not even sure if modern bikes have inner tubes, like they used to?

I've still got the bike I had as a teenager, so I could ride if I wanted, but I haven't had it out for a few years now.
Thw tyres are probably perished.

I had a chicken and mushroom pie, with potatoes, carrots and gravy.

Hi Hicky.
I'd have watched CDWM if I'd remembered that it was on. I watched Millionaire instead.
Suppose I could catch CDWM on 4OD?
Less than 5 days to go now. OH's BD.
emptybox
Good Morning Emptybox & Mollie.

It's been too windy here, blown some of my delicate hanging Solar lights, smashed to bits.
Never mind, I'll get some better ones.

Looking forward to IAC it's always a good laugh.

Went to the Chemist for my tablets & had brekki in Morrisons, couldn't eat it all, had a 'Traditional Breakfast' a load of back bacon, 2 fried eggs, loads of baked beans and 2 rounds of buttered toast.
Got a small Sushi pack while I was there.

My next jobs are, get a decking spray kit with deck oil, need a skip to get rid of the soil and rolls of turf I took up, need 4 big Tubs for the fruit trees, need the 4 trees, need another ton of blue slate to finish the rear section of the garden, not sure what to do with the area by the house at the rear, will measure it up.
Hicky
Good Evening Everyone.

Went to B&Q with O/H, got 2 x 3L drums of Cuprinol & a sprayer for the decking.
Can't do it till I have a nice day and no wind.

O/H is looking at new flooring, she wants to do away with the fitted carpets and get flooring put down so she can get rugs/mats.

Got a couple of Burgers again to take home, yummy.

Just had my pack of Sushi, very nice too.

Got some peaches and ice cream waiting in the kitchen, for some strange reason O/H has it every day now, so do I, and I'm not going to complain.
Hicky
Good evening all
been a nice day here today, so got my sheets dried quickly.

Emptybox
Yes OH tells me they still have inner tubes. You ought to think of getting out your old bike and giving it a service. But as Hicky says roads are really dangerous now for bikes, so keep off them.
Hope weather was good up there too.
Cant find much to watch again tonight.

Hicky
glad to hear you are keeping that burger van going at B and Q.
Hope the wind dies down for you to complete that decking.
Your OH doesnt want you to get bored if she is moving on next to the flooring indoors. i prefer flooring stuff to carpet, a lot easier to clean, and some rugs are really nice. But be careful you get ones you cant trip over.
Are you paying attention to Emptybox's birthday countdown calendar?  I hope so because you only have days left to remember that birthday.

We have decided not to go away for the weekend now, but to go on just a day out tommorrow instead. Cheaper than staying in a hotel, and I dont need to do the packing. But, am I mad?  We are going on a bloomin orange jet rubber dingy thing across stong currents off the coast of west wales.  I fell over and was bleeding, when we just walked round a castle last time. And for this day out, we have to climb down steep cliff steps, climb up steep steps to a lifeboat house, then walk down a steep ramp, to clamber onboard this flippen rubber dingy.  We have to put a life vest on, I just know i wont be able to fasten mine, I just hope I dont slip, and I certainly hope I dont fall overboard!!  But hopefully we wil all have fun, we have wanted to go on this for boat trip for years, and wanted to go in September, so we could see the baby seal season.

so I wont be around tommorrow.
hope you both have a good day. Hope it is dry and not windy so you can get your garden done HIcky.
xx
M
Evening.

Showery here today, and bloomin' cold. I've had to put the thicker duvet on my bed, and am wearing a T-shirt, shirt and sweatshirt on top. Haven't thought about putting the heating on yet, but that'll be the next thing, if it doesn't warm up again.

I suspect you are ignoring my countdown Hicky, but there's only 4 sleeps left.

Pity about the wind damaging your lanterns. But a good excuse to get some more.

When does IAC start?

Mollie, i have thought about getting the bike out, but the thing is it's very hilly here.

In the car, the road to the village seems flat, and takes 5 minuted. On the bike it's all up and down, and takes at least 20 minutes.

The last time I biked was about 17 or 18 years ago. I was working shifts in the local pub at the time, and i thought I'd go by bike to save fuel. But when I got there i was dripping with sweat and knackered.

I suppose if I'd persevered I'd have got fitter, and it would have got easier? but i put the bike in the shed and went by car.

I hope you enjoy your adventure day out Mollie.

Hope you return unscathed.

Oh! I see that @ChantelleBB has posted up a picture to try to prove her authenticity.

It looks a bit dodgy to me? You're supposed to be holding the sheet of paper, not just standing beside it. But I'll see what others say?

ETA: Ah! This looks like Chantelle's real Twitter account -  http://twitter.com/chantellehought

Seems like the other one stole the first authentication pic, but this one has posted more personal photos of her dogs etc. I'm going with this one being the real one.

Good Evening Mollie.

It's good getting a reminder, think I could do with one for the lottery as well, that always seems to run out way before I renew it.

O/H's birthday is on a Monday, not a good day really, easily forgotten.

Sounds like an exciting day out Mollie.
As long as you put your life jacket on at least they will be able to locate you in the event of nasty things happening.
But it's fun for the more adventurous of us.
Hicky
Good Afternoon Emptybox and White Water Rafting Mollie.

Hope you don't get too wet as well.

Rebooted Puter closing down all browsers etc, got my ability to post back.
Not sure why, but at least it's back.

Off to my lads at 3pm his little ones are having a little party and one of the other grand daughters is going as well.

Have been clearing more stuff from the garden, my neighbour wants some of the excess soil, have been barrowing it out front till I get a skip, still a lot to go, I worked it out, need tons more blue slate yet, need another 107 bags which is 2.5 Tonne.
That's not counting the Patio, not sure what to do with that, that's 11m x 3m (33sqm)

O/H said we should us some of the food up from the freezers save buying so much, good idea.
Then we can spend more on the garden.

Oh, by the way, wanted a weather vane, saw a lovely smallish one on the web, with a Land-rover on it, had to order it.
Here, down on the right, you can't miss it really.
http://www.simplyweathervanes....ini_weathervanes.asp

Have a great time Mollie, hold tight.
Hicky
Good evening all
hope you are having a good weekend.

Emptybox
hope you are feeling nice and snug now with your heater and blanket. It was cool here last night, (showing 3.5 degrees this morning), but didnt feel cool in the house, because it is still warm in the day.  At least you can get work done if it is dry.
Was it sphag bol today. I had a korma today, for a change, with chickepeas and raisins, and rice. Very nice.
I can understand you reluctance to cycle in steep areas, and bad weather. I too dont like hills, roads or weather that is hot, or wet. So, in all, I dont cycle much.
So is it safe to add that Chantelle link on my twitter now?  Is it the real one?

Hicky
at you deciding to spend the food money you save on the garden. Good idea to clear the freezer of food, I sometimes forget to do that. I like the look of those wind vanes. Where do you put them?  And how do you put them up?  Fancy you finding a landrover one, how very apt.   I'd go for the chaffinch one.

We had quite an amazing day yesterday. Yes Emptybox it was partly white water rafting, but I didnt know that we were going over the strongest cross current tides in the UK, with waves up to 10 metres.   Good job we all took coats and fleeces. When we got there they told us to borrow a coat if we hadnt got one. To get on this dingy, you had to throw yourself over the side of the rubber boat.  The boat was tiny, it has to be to be able to go in the caves, and close to the animals. There was a few rows of double seats, and when we sat down, the men came and put lifejackets on us. and told us how to use them...whistle one side, blow up thing to keep us afloat on the other. We were told we must stay in our seat at all times. We were told us how to use the radio, incase something happened to the 3 crew.    The boat went incredibly fast when we set off. I was screaming at first. We were so close to the water we got wet from the spray, we could all taste salt.  The boat was smashing thouough huge waves, and rolling standing upright, from one side to another, whizzing along.. I was clinging onto the rail in front of me. We did slow down when we got to view the seals, the scientist's talks on board was very interesting. The baby seals were on the beaches with their mums, so cute, all pale , covered in soft furry down. We went deep into caves round the island. And we saw rare birds too. When we were coming out of this one cave, a huge wave caught us, and I suddenly noticed about 6 inches of water whoosing round our feet. My trainers got all soggy.  The crew man said, that didnt usually happen, and hopefully we woudnt sink.  He kept checking the water level as we went along, but thankfully it did go down, and we didnt sink. Phheewww. It was a very enjoyable trip.  the whole family loved it. The trip lasted just over an hour, but it went very quickly. We are hoping to go on the dolphin/ whale watching one next. But we may not go now till May onwards, as it is getting too cold now for a 2 hour boat trip.

Been shopping today for groceries.

I see there is to be a Celebrity Coach Trip. I really like this show, a celeb one should be good too.

goodnight all.  xxx

are you doing anything special with OH for her birthday?  If you remember, that is.
M
Hi Mollie and Hicky.
It was a lovely day here, and not so cold here tonight.
But I read in the paper today that the midlands and Wales might even get frost tonight.

I see on Twitter that Hicky is still having problems posting on here, but hopefully he can read this.
Only 2 sleeps left till your OH's Birthday Hicky!

Glad you enjoyed your trip Mollie, but there are a few too many eeks there for my liking.
Didn't realise it was a trip to see seals and caves. Sounds like it was fun, if a bit hairy at times.
I remember going on a boat trip to the Bass rock when i was a teenager. Can't remember if we saw seals, but there were millions of seabirds including puffins.
It would be great to see dolphins.

Yes, i think it's definitely the real Chantelle, so you can follow her on Twitter.

I've got a weather vane like the ones you pointed to Hicky. Mine has a cockerel on it. My dad got it a few years ago. Can't say i ever look at it, but it's nice to know it's there.
emptybox
Evening Mollie.

Glad you enjoyed your trip, it sounds good fun, I love that sort of thing.

Had to relaunch Firefox again, had lost the ability to post again, don't know why, it only lets me post once.

There's loads of stuff in the 4freezers, have a feeling O/H isn't going to eat much of it, I like to thaw and cook it, then make a decision about whether it's fit to eat depending on age.
O/H would just throw it all out, well I can't see how that's saving money.

Made a stew yesterday with a pack of stewing steak, have a few other packs as well.

Have watched X-Factor before, always good for a laugh.

Went to one of my lads this afternoon to see some of his new double glazing, it's about half done as he is getting 21 windows and 2 doors done, good stuff as well, the house should be a lot warmer soon.
Hicky
Good Afternoon Everyone.

Raining here again, not very nice at all.

One of my lads is running the great North run with his G/F.
I just think it will wear your joints out prematurely.

I think Come Dancing is on again, will have to look if it's on tonight.
Mind you I prefer DOI, don't know when that's back, maybe in the winter.
Hicky
Just thought on.
O/H is trying to use up the food in the freezers.
I found a few packs of sausages, that's good said O/H, we could have sausages and mash.
Next day she comes home with a new pack of mini sausages and a new pack of 2.5kg of potatoes, saying I didn't fancy those sausages out of the freezer, they are probably old.
I'm trying to work out how that helped empty the freezers.
Hicky
Evening.

Watching X-Factor now.
Just been for a meal with one of my lads and his tribe, and of course my O/H, it was his treat for her Birthday.
I had Steak/Chicken wings & Ribs, not bad really.

I'm going to get her a new light fitting (for her Birthday) for the back room she is going to refurb.
She doesn't really need anything for herself, think she has everything.

That problem came back, parked up when we got home from the meal.
The Fob wouldn't work, had to use the key to lock the car, O/H said "I bet my Sky remote control won't work now", it wouldn't either, had to use the buttons on the Sky box.
This is a strange one.
It's usually my O/H's Fob that won't work and her remote control.
Hicky
Good evening all

Emptybox
glad you have had the good weather this weekend.
Yes the whole reason we went on the boat trip was because we like wildlife and wanted to see the baby seals that are there this time of year, Interesting that you did a trip to see the birds. We too saw some rare birds, the island we sailed round is an RSBP island. Hope you have had a nice relaxing Sunday.
I will now add chantelle to my twitter. Thanks for the info.
Where is your cockerel weather vane placed? If it is high up, I should think they are hard to put up.

Hicky
Hope your son and gf did well in the run. No way could I do that, like you say, it is not good for wear and tear on the joints. (especially as you get older).
21 windows and 2 doors. Does your lad live in a castle?
What a funny method of clearing out the freezer your OH has.
Happy birthday to her for tommorrow.
Are you taking her out for a meal to celebrate, or do you think her dine out today with your lad was enough of an eat out for now? Did you go to the Hungry Horse again?
Have you bought her a card, or some flowers or chocs to go with her light fitting?
Whatever you do, dont forget to wish her a happy birthday tommorow though.

I watched X factor too Hicky, A good show again tonight. I dont bother with Strictly, find it boring. Like you I prefer DOI.
That is so weird with the fob and rhe Sky remote.

Been swimming today, then had a nice brekkie at Tescos. then took son to drama and had a walk on seafront with doggie. Very windy today, the sea was rough, so I had a nice coffee sitting next to the cafe wall to shelter from the wind for a while.  At least it was dry though.

goodnight all  xx
M
Evening.

It was a wet start here, but the day has been mostly sunny.
Not sure what the forecast for next week is?

My weather vane is mounted on top of a rustic trellis arch. It's not particularly high; maybe about 7 feet from the ground. It's easily visible from the front windows.

I would have thought you were skating on thin ice Hicky, getting your OH a light fitting for her Birthday? But you know her best.
Hope she has a good day anyway.

Very strange, your problem with the key fob and the Sky remote?

I had chicken breast in breadcrumbs and a cheese sauce (from the supermarket), with potatoes and broccoli . It was very nice.
emptybox
Good Afternoon Emptybox & Mollie.

My Lad and his G/f finished the run anyway, think he did 2.30 she did 1.58,, but she's done a few of them.

All those windows, it is a big house, 5 beds, 3 floors etc.

I can see O/H throwing most of the stuff away from the freezers, we need to restock for Chrimbo anyway.
I would just like to see what is in them, the problem with the shelf ones is that you can't see whats there till you take the front stuff out, I prefer those with draws but I only have 1 freezer like that.

It looks like X-Factor is going to be good again, some good singers out of that lot.

The Fob thing has me beat, but a bloke at work said that he had a lot of trouble with his car alarm being set off, he found out it was the signal from the Taxis that was parked down the road and the driver must have had a powerfull handset talking to his control.

Brekki at Tesco's, can't blame you, it beats making it yourself.

Haven't sorted a position for the weathervane but I want to be able to see it from anywhere in the garden, but the wind seems to swirl, it might effect it, will have to see.

That Chicken Breast in breadcrumbs sounds good Emptybox, love the cheese sauce as well, and veg, your spoiling yourself.

I was going to have sausage and mash last night untill my lad said he would take us all out, not going to miss that eh.
Hicky
Evening.
Been another nice day here.

Well done to your lad and his girlfriend in the Great North Run Hicky. It's a half marathon, isn't it?
Not bad times anyway.

I've just gone out to look at my weather vane, and it's not moving round. Must have rusted itself solid. I'll have to get a step ladder out to try to free it.
I never look at it anyway, but it might as well work.
emptybox
Good evening all

  TO MRS HICKY
I hope you didn't forget it Hicky, and hope she had a good day.

well summer was back again today, so it was off with the winter boots, and out again with the pink stripy summer frock.   Wonder how long this warm weather will last?

Hicky...
yes well done to your son and gf completing that run in such a short time.
Have you been in your garden today, or work? Yes good idea to clear out the freezer with Christmas food arriving in those shops already, think I need to go through mine and throw some out of date stuff out too. As you say, it is easy to miss things at the back of freezers.
Yes I agree, X factor does look like it is to have some promising singers.
I wonder if you dont have a taxi rank near you, if there are some strange signals coming from somewhere out of space and affecting that fob?

Emptybox
glad you enjoyed your nice chicken meal.
That is good that Hicky gave you the idea to clean up your weather vane. I quite fancy one of them myself now.
Has it gone warmer up there too?

Son started his new course at college today. I took him in because it was in a new building, he was nervous, but when we got there all the other students were very quiet and nervous too. But he said it went ok when he came home.

Time to watch the model show now.
the girl I chose in week 1 is still in the competition and we are down to the last 4 now. Hope she doesn't get thrown out.

Hope you are having a good day.  xx
M
Good Evening Everyone.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes for MrsH, I didn't forget it.

Won't get more Sun till the weekend according to the forecast, cloudy Tue & wed, rain Thur, showers Fri, oh dear, not good.

Have been busy getting some top soil bagged ready to go to the chap who lives in the house at the garden opposite at the back.
He, or I should say his O/H needs the soil for her next raised veg garden, she has a few all ready, but it saves buying too much compost from the garden centre's.
What is left over I will barrow out to the front ready to go in the skip when we get it.

I have found the 4 plant tubs I want, they are 130 litre, about 69cms across and 50cms deep@ ÂĢ23 each and have handles and drainage holes already in, and the 4 dwarf tree's I want as well are ÂĢ65 for the lot, they grow to about 2m high.
Hicky
Good afternoon all

Emptybox
Glad you didnt need your heating.
It is very warm again here today.
X factor is worth watching. I think they have finished the auditions bit now. I think it is interesing to see if the ones who did well at auditions carry on doing well. I like watching the judge's houses bit too.

Hicky

Glad you remembered your OH's birthday. Hope she had a nice day.
Let's hope it is dry for you to get in that garden today. That is handy that you have somone who can make use of your soil.
I like dwarf trees, I bet they will look nice in your garden.

It is dry and sunny here today, so my loads and loads of washing are drying nicely again today.

Did you know there is a new reality tv show on C4 on wednesday. I will tune in to see if it is any good.

have a good day. xx
M
Hi Mollie.

I got her the 5 light fitting she wanted, with the low energy 9w SES lamps.
She wants to do some decorating and also wants the Banister rail changing, it's too hard to get the old paint off so she thought it easier to replace it.

I've fitted the Land-Rover weather vane, have been filling rubble bags for over the way, not a lot more to do now.

Didn't know about the reality TV show, will keep an eye open for it.

Am working tomorrow so the garden will have to wait.
Hicky
Was nice and sunny here today as well, and positively warm.

Is that 'Seven Days', the new reality show? Might give it a look.

Scampi, chips and salad for supper.

That light fitting sounds a good idea Hicky.
I'm thinking of changing the one in my lounge. At the moment it takes three 60w bulbs, with little shades on each. So it's not suitable for low energy bulbs.
emptybox
Morning Emptybox.

Not sure what the weather is like here, it was ok earlier.

My O/H wants the new light fitting spraying a different colour, bought a can of spray the colour she wants.
It has small shades, she wanted the lights facing down, doesn't like them facing up.
I got 5 x 9w which is like a 40w incandescant, they are SES, seem to be very popular, all the fittings in my house have Low Energy bulbs, won't have anything else.
Except for the bathroom, that has the little inset ceiling lights, Haligen type.

If your fitting won't take Low Energy, just change the fitting.
I can't stand normal lamps now, they don't last 10 minutes.
Hicky
Good evening all

Hicky...
sounds like your OH is going to keep you busy indoors now you have nearly finished outside.

dont think we have those low energy bulbs, arent they full of poisonous stuff that you have to watch if you take them down?  Daughters room had one from when we first moved in, but it is so dim, and takes ages to come on, so she has to have a lamp too.

Emptybox
Glad you too got the warm weather up there.
very warm again today, another good clothes drying day.

I have just watched that new reality show on C4, thought it was dead boring. too many characters to get used to, then shot too quickly from one to the other.
but there was nothing else to watch.

OH finished work a bit earlier today, so we went to M and S foodhall, and bought some nice treats.

daughter has a streaming cold, it is going round the college.

goodnight all
M
Evening.
A dry, warm but cloudy day here, but I got a lot done.

I thought that 'Seven Days' was quite boring as well, and as you say, they kept cutting from one conversation to another.
Rex BB9 is supposed to appear in some episodes.
Not sure if that's good or bad?

I've got quite a few of those low energy bulbs about the place, and they are much better nowadays for coming on quickly. The first ones were bad though.
I might try to see if you can get low energy bulbs roughly the same shape as the old ones. Then i could use them with the old fitting. The shades fit directly onto the bulbs.

That's a beautiful picture of Chanelle and Blakely Hicky.
You can see she is needing more sleep though. poor dear.

Hi Emptybox,

Never heard a good word about that 'Seven Days', didn't watch it myself.

You can get a good selection of low energy lamps now, bound to be one that will suit your original fitting.

Blakely is coming on fine, of course Chanelle won't get enough sleep, she probably sits and watches him sleep, instead of sleeping at the same time.
I did tell her though.

I managed to get my 2nd & last tree root out, only took a few hours.

My next 2 tonne of blue slate comes tomorrow, they seem to be offering some deals at the mo, but it's in 2 big bags, will have to barrow it into the garden.

Bought a gallon of Cuprinol fence spray to start treating the fences.
Bought a spray can of Chromium paint to give the Land-Rover on the weather vane a coat, don't like the black.

Hi Hicky.

Wet here all day, so no gardening for me.
It did let me get up to date with my accounts though.

Tree roots can be stubborn, can't they? And it'll be heavy work barrowing that slate round. One of your lads might come in handy for that?

Personally I think black is best for these weather vanes, as it stands out against the sky. But whatever works for you.

I didn't think Seven Days was as terrible as some are making out. Just a bit boring, with nobody really to identify with. I'll probably give it a second chance next week.

Hi Mollie.
Hope you haven't succumbed to daughter's cold?

Hi Emptybox.

My weather vane isn't really high enough an there are a lot of tree's around so you can't see it against the sky, hoping Chrome will either show up or reflect in the Sun.

Had some rain here as well, still managed to get the tree root out, just got to tidy a lot of the rear of the garden up and put the weed control matting down.

Have left the dressing off my finger, a few pieces of scab have fell off the perimeter of the wound,, a lot of it has healed, i'm very pleased do far.
There's just a cm section left that has a type of scab, will need another week I suppose to fom some scar tissue under the scab.

Good evening all

more blue slate?  Crikey, they will of run out of slate soon with the amount you are buying.   Glad you managed to get your tree routes sorted ok. Hope it stays dry for your fence painting.
What a cute looking baby, but I think all babes are cute, aren;t they? No wonder she looks a bit tired, Young babes are very tiring, specially a first baby. Prebabies,  I used to spend ages putting make up on, then soon had to learn to slap it on in under five minutes when the babes came along.
You were dead lucky that you were able to treat and heal that nasty cut on your finger.

Glad you got a lot done yesterday. Hope you managed to catch up with your accounts today.  We had a bit of rain, but it was very stuffy and muggy today.
I went on my bike to the post office and was very hot.
Dont know if I will give Seven Days a second try, I found it hard staying awake whilst it was on. I may watch again if nothing else was on. I had a look at the C4 site they were promoting, but couldnt get on it last night. Youd of thought they'd have it working well for the first week of the show.

Not much on tv again tonight.

have a good evening xx
M
