Evening.
Another lovely day here. I had to do some work, but only for about 3 hours.

Michelle was good last night, but she was even better when they were rehearsing it.
I think she was nervous for the performance, plus I don't think she was feeling well.
She's been ill all day today with a middle-ear infection, but I think she got some tablets from the doc, which have made her feel a lot better.

You do seem to have an eye for a bargain Mollie. Hope you enjoyed your shopping.

You're really coming on with your garden make-over Hicky.
emptybox
Good afternoon all

Emptybox
your day off today?
yes Michelle did well, it is no wonder she was nervous. It cant of been easy performing live in front of the crowd. I wonder why she suddenly got an ear infection? I thought you had to get a cold first to get one of those?

Hicky
in the garden today?
I hope the weather is better up there than it was this morning here. It rained quite heavy, but is drier now.
So think I will take the dog out.

I wonder who will get nominated today>

have a good day. xx
M
Hi Mollie.
It's been another lovely day here, but I think worse weather is rolling in for next week.

I've just got back from doing my weekly shop, and am just about to cut my own grass.

Unfortunately it's Michelle, Vanessa and Nick up for eviction on Wednesday, and as it's a double, I think Michelle is likely to go.
I think Vanessa will be out first, but Nick will probably survive.
I wonder why Michelle got so many nominations?
emptybox
Good Evening Emptybox & Mollie.

Had a busy day really, getting on with the garden, so much to do.

Had One of my lads here with his Son & Stepson, had another Lad round with his 2 girls and G/F for food, put more Slate down, did more on the decking, but it's quite a big job.

Work tomorrow, not sure what the weather is next week.
It's been threatening to rain all day, but had very little.
Hicky
Good Morning Everyone from Lovely Jaguar Landrover.

At work today, have been busy, eased off now.
Had the usual brekkie, 2xTo, 2xSa, 1xEg, 1xBe

Just watching a bit of LF, they are late getting ready for the day.

PS.
Got my new Dell ST2310 Flat Panel Monitor today.
It's the same size as mine at home, can work and watch BB live side by side
It's 5cm wider than 2 x A4 pages side by side.
That will do me.

Good afternoon all

Hicky
glad your monitor arrived ok, and that you are now able to watch BB live. Good job you didnt have all our rain yesterday so you were able to continue in the garden. Sounds like you had plenty of visitors too.   How long do you think it will take to finish this big job in your garden now?

Emptybox
Glad you got the nice weather yesterday, so you could do your own garden. Ours is all overgrown because it was too wet for OH to cut yesterday, and it is pouring again now. Luckily it was dry when I took doggie out this morning.

I wish Ulrika was up for eviction, and Preston too.  I think they are the 2 most boring in there.
I dont want Vanessa to go, think she is quite nice and interesting too, but with 2 going I expect she will. I also quite like Nick when he is joking around with Victor. I think Michelle is up because she was part of the 3 witches group. I think she is so different now, and rather a dull HM this time round, so dont mind her going. She hasnt even said "chicken" once, or run around topless, like she used to.   Still liking Chantelle, Vicotor, Nikki, and Brian though.

right , off to cook a roast dinner for the family.
I dont want it, so will have cereal and French stick with brie and grapes, which I prefer.

have a good day. xx
M
Hi Mollie.

Haven't had much rain but every time it starts I pack all the gear and tools away, when I get in the house it stops, so annoying.
How long in takes is dependant on various factors, weather, willingness, help or no help.
The decking won't take long, but I want to make a wood/slate step that stretches right across the front of the decking.
I'm hoping to be able to stand a few pots of flowers on it next year.

The decking boards are warped/bent and rally need a tool that positions them but it's ÂĢ41.61 so I'll see if I can Hire one first.
This is the tool:- http://www.birbek.com/products...aightening-tool.html

I think Michelle and Nick will go.

PS.
Had Fillet steak with onions and mushrooms and thin chips, yummy.
Hicky
Evening.

It's been dry here today, but windy.

That monitor sounds just the right size Hicky. I'm sure it'll make you much more productive at work.

The bookies say that Vanessa is certain to be evicted, with Nick being a bit more likely to go than Michelle.
That would suit me fine, but the bookies often get it wrong. I'll certainly be voting for Vanessa and Nick to go.

I wouldn't describe Vanessa as "nice" Mollie. She's OK, but her face seems to be set in a permanently angry expression, although i suppose that's not her fault.
Anyway, she shouldn't be in Ultimate Big Brother. She walked out after 3 days.

TBH it's the other way round for me. I think Nick is very dull and awkward., and it's Michelle i like watching.

I liked Aisleyne popping up on BBLB. It must have been arranged at short  notice, because we weren't told about it on her forum till this afternoon, and it was a surprise to me, cos I got in just before 6pm, so decided to put BBLB on.
emptybox
Hi Hicky.
Are you having resolution problems with this monitor as well?
That's surprising. My old Dell computer, which has an old Radeon 9800 graphics card, can handle 1920 x 1080 with ease, and that's fairly old.

I don't think Ash will appear in the house, she's doing other stuff this week including various photo shoots, and recording for another TV show.
Not unless her manager is telling porkies.
emptybox
Hi Emptrybox.
The Puter at work will have a built in graphics so they are never as good as a separate card, it will do for work though.
Ash originally said she couldn't do the 18 days as she would be filming during that time.
I think she will make an appearance during the week.

I've been all day in the garden, doing the decking boards, wore work than meets the eye.
Got rained off 5 times or more, each time I went inside it stopped, had a few thunder storms though.
A few more hours and I'll be finished, had to stop tonight because it went dark.

Not bothered who goes tomorrow, they can evict anyone.

Still want Chantelle to win, but think Brian is ahead.
Hicky
Good evening all
changable weather again here today, but at least we had a dry spell to take the dog out.

Hicky
thanks for the tool link. I see it is American. Hope it helps you get on with the job in hand, A step with plant pots on it should look just lovely.  Shame you kept getting rained off, because it slows you down so much, fingers crossed for some drier weather.

Emptybox
glad to hear you got the dry weather. It is lucky you have not got behind at all this year in your gardens.

I think Michelle will be first out tommorrow, (But I might be wrong Emptybox and you might get to keep her). I think first out, mainly, because of her being part of the 3 witches, and also when I saw a bit of livefeed this afternoon, it was the dance auditions, and it reminded me of why I didnt like Michelle last time. She was so bitter, moaning and whinging because she  wasnt chosen as lead dancer.   I think the fact that it was supposed to be for fun passed her by.

Shame that it looks like Vanessa will go because she does get the HM's to talk. I think she was nice with poor Nikki when she was talking about her illness.
Victor (who was my fave last time he was on BB) is looking a good prospect to win I think, but I think probably Brian will win. I would be qutie happy with that, and I'd like to see Chantelle come somewhere in the top 3, because she is such a kindly type. I wish she'd stop going on and on about Preston though, because I think unfortunately he is going to hurt her again. Oh and I nearly forgot I like Nikki too. But wish it was Preston and Ulrika going tommorrow.

So interestingly some we agree on, and some we don't.

goodnight all xx
M
Hi Hicky.
Glad you managed to get a bit done.
It was raining here all day with thunder and lightning.
My power went off a couple of times, but luckily only for a few minutes at a time.

I took the cat to the vet today, thinking that would be it, but the vet took a blood test and decided she wasn't eating because her kidneys weren't working properly. I've got to go back in the morning, and she's going to get a steroid injection to stimulate her, and pills to take daily, and special food to aid kidney function.
I know, I know, I'm now in the merry-go-round of vet's bills etc. But she was my Mum's cat, so I think I owe it to her to give her a chance.
You never know, she might start eating again, and get a few more months?

Hi Mollie. Didn't see your post.

TBH I like Michelle as much as I like Chantelle, so I'll be gutted if she goes tomorrow.
But at least it would mean that I wouldn't have to  split my votes in the final.

It's certainly looking like it'll be Vanessa and Michelle out though.

I didn't like Victor at all last time, but he's been OK this time, but i wouldn't like to see him win.
emptybox
Evening.

I took the cat to the vet again for 9.30am. It's an hour round trip, so it took up much of the morning.
The vet gave her a steroid injection, and pills to take every day for a fortnight, and special renal cat food. Dread to think what it'll all cost.

The injection is supposed to kick-start her appetite, but it hasn't done anything so far. She has refused to touch any of the special food.
I've got a feeling that it's just putting off the inevitable.

The afternoon was showery, but I got a bit done anyway.

The betting for tonight's eviction seems to have completely turned around, and the bookies now think it'll be Michelle out first followed by Nick, and that Vanessa will survive.
That's crazy.

Hope you both are having good days?
emptybox
Good evening all

Emptybox
Glad to hear the vet is giving your mums old cat treatment. How awful it must of been for you taking her to that vet, and thinking it could of been the end of the line for her when you took her on that visit.   And of course I understand you agreeing to hop aboard the vet merry-go- round of bills, because that round of bills has enabled you to give that cat a contined chance of a comfortable life with you.   Fingers crossed the treatment works. My dogs problems last year were kidney related, and the treatment worked for her.

I never realised you liked Michelle as much as Chantelle.
I still think Michelle will be first gone today, because I think in general she lacks the kindly and likeability factor that Chantelle has. But, as you say, at least that means you wont have to split your vote for the final.

I have been thinking about who I want to win, and have decided it is Brian as my choice. Although I am a fan of Chantelle, Nikki and Victor, I think Brian, as a clear past winner in a very early series, did the full summer of BB experience, and he has been persistently enthusiatic and funny. Chantelle has always been very sweet, but she was not in the BB house as long as Brian, but I'd like to see her in the top 3 at least,  with Nikki, who I think too has appreciated the full BB  experience.

I'd like to see Nick stay tonight, because, he was in the first series, and I do not think he is nasty at all, and it would be good for him to be rid of this "nasty Nick" tag, I think Vanessa has run her course in there now. Although she was a good addition to liven the house this week, I heard her say she is content that she has put some demons to rest from her earlier CBB appearance, and doesnt mind going at all now.

Tonight should be very interesting.

Hicky
Hope you have had the good weather we have had here today, so you have been able to get on with your garden work. Is your hand all better now? I hope so.

It was my mums birthday today, so OH has jsut taken her home, she came over for dinner with us, and I baked her some rock cakes, her favourite. Daughter will make her a birthday cake on the weekend because my brother is coming then.

enjoy the eviction show everyone.
M
Emptybox

by the time I actually got round to finishing and posting my post, your post had appeared, after I posted mine.

About the cat, even if it is just putting off the inevitable, at least you can rest with a clear conscience,  knowing you have tried and done whatever you can do for her. Perhpas you should try her with a bit of her ordinary food alongside the special food?  Sometimes they take a while to try new food. Lets hope with a bit of time, the injection helps her try and eat a little. Hopefully it wont cost as much as you fear. Our dog was hospitalised on a drip with lots of antibiotics, blood tests, X ray etc,  and it cost ÂĢ700, which yes was expensive, but not too bad for all the attention she had.

gosh, I am surprised the bookies think Vanessa will stay.
Not long to wait now to see if they are right.
M
Good Evening Emptybox & Mollie.

Been at work today, had some busy bursts but not too bad.
It meant I missed a good days working in the garden, did a bit after work.
I wouldn't have pets, if the NHS is free it's pointless paying a fortune for a pet when it's ill.

Not bothered who goes really, but would prefer Michelle to stay of course.

I suppose Brian is still fave to win.
Hicky
Hi Mollie and Hicky.

Hope your Mum enjoyed her Birthday dinner Mollie.

I'll try everything with the cat, but i think she has given up,

TBH I think Brian deserves to be crowned UBB. He's been entertaining all the way through, and i certainly wouldn't be disappointed if he won.
However i won't be voting for him, I'll be voting for Chantelle (or Michelle should she survive).
But I think Chantelle has thrown it away with all her agonizing over Preston.
He should not have been there.
emptybox
Hi Mollie & Emptybox.

Hope you Cat is a bit better Emptybox, but once they start having problems it's hard to know what to do for the best.

Hope you Mum enjoyed her Birthday Mollie, they seem to come round so soon, I've got my O/H's on the 20th, will try and remember not to forget it this year, but still don't know what to get her.

It's been a great day today, finished decking, put the gazebo frame up, just making a step up to the decking, using decking timber and will fill the void with slate.
Still an awful lot to do in the garden but it's coming on well.
Will have to take another picture at the weekend, will complete the gazebo 1st.

Would love Chantelle to win but can't see her passing Brian, he has a head start.

We went out to eat tonight, save finding something to eat, had a little tub of chicken wings between us, then had a Sirloin Steak, the place was packed, think everyone goes when they pick the kids up from school.
Hicky
Good evening all

Yes I agree Emptybox, I think Brian is the one who really deserves to win. He hasnt changed since we first saw him all those years ago. Still full of fun, and nice and supportive to the other HM's.
Even if Chantelle loses, which I think she will, she is no loser. She will be the best ultimate CBB HM, because I cant see Ulrika outlasting her. Yes Emptybox, a big shame Preston went in there, his presence has not been good for Chantelle, and never will be imo. I dont think he is interested in her in the slightest. She needs to move on, and stop pining for him.

Hicky
glad you got plenty done in the garden today.  Looking forward to the next piccie. I think you deserved your eat out, after all that hard work you've done in the garden.
My mum enjoyed coming over for her birthday dinner, she doesnt eat much , so she took a lot of food back home with her. Yes Hicky, it would be  agood idea not to miss your OH's birthday this time round.
I bet iIf you had a pet, you wouldnt think it pointless paying out for vet's treatment, I never realised until we had our first pet for the kids some 6 years ago, how fond you become of  a pet who lives in your home, and how they become part of your family, and you get so attached to them. If either of our pets were ill, I'd rather eat nowt all week, than deprive them of treatment.

Emptybox
Yes you should be proud of yourself if you have tried everything with the cat, but if she gives up, there is not a lot you can do, but at least you cant beat yourself up, when you have tried your best.  Maybe the treatment will help her in a few days though. Hope so. xx

It has been another lovely day here today, let's hope it continues over the weekend. Youll soon have that garden done if the weather lasts Hicky.

I have mixed feelings about tommorrow night.
I think I am going to feel rather sad about the end of a 10 year spell of BB.
I think it is rather unusual for presenters such as Davina and Marcus to have spent so much time on the same show, I bet they will feel upset tommorrow when it is all over.

I hope Preston, and Ulrika are the first ones out tommorrow. I dont think either really deserve a place in the UBB final.

goodnight all xx
M
Evening.
Dry here, but a bit cloudy. Warm though.

The cat actually ate a tiny bit today.
A small start, but it's the first thing she has eaten for over 10 days.
I gave her a pill this morning, but i had to put it directly in her mouth, as she hadn't started eating at that point, but she seemed to swallow it.
I think the next 2 or 3 days will be critical. She's just so weak, that I'm not sure she can come back from it?
We'll see.

I'm not really feeling sad about BB, because I'm feeling that it will be back on CH5 next year.
Also i shall keep following the ex-HMs that I follow, so there'll be no change there.

I see they had a funeral in the garden this afternoon.

I think the order I would like them to leave would be Preston, followed by Nick, followed by Victor, followed by Ulrika, followed by Nikki, followed Chantelle, with Brian the winner.

I've made a note of your OH's birthday Hicky, and put it next to the computer, so i shall give you a countdown, so there's no way you will forget.
BTW there's 10 days to go.

Good morning all

Emptybox
well that is good news indeed that the cat ate a little. I guess at best, you can only hope for a small amount of eating, because her stomach has shrunk, but that small amount may hopefully bring back a bit of appetite, and strength for her.

LOL
I love how  you have put Hicky's OH's birthday on your calendar to remind him, and have started a countdown calendar.   That should do the trick so he doesnt slip up again, becuase if he does, I should think he would be in the doghouse at home, even though he doesnt have a dog.

I do hope you are right and C5 get to carry on with BB. I think it had run its course on C4, I am thankful to C4BB though, because not only has it given me something to watch during those hot summer evenings, but it meant I met you too. .
I was living in Australia during the first one of BB , so missed it, so the first one I came across was BB2 and Brian was my fave. My children were all very young then, and we were living in Dublin.  My 2 youngest were at a  litlte primary school with about only 90 children in total a the school there. Because we were in Ireland at that time, we could watch it, but couldnt vote in it.
Have you both watched all of the BB's?  What was your fave one? Has life changed much for you since the first BB?
There are a few series I liked, and a few of the later ones that I found boring. I was not keen on the Brian2 one, or the Sophie one, thought the tasks rubbish, and BB4 was boring too. I did enjoy BB11 though, thought the tasks very enteraining, even though the HM's were not of the best. And I have enjoyed UBB.

We certainly have a full evening of BB tonight to look forward to.
I too think Brian will win, maybe Nikki second, which I think would be well deserved in both cases. Chantelle may be third, or because she has been so tearful, and obsessed with Preston, may of handed it to Victor as 2nd or 3rd?  I think it may be close for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th places.
Only hours till we find out now.

Hicky
is it work or garden today? Lets hope we are in for a dry weekend for you.
It is rather dull and grey here at the moment.

Have a good  day. xx
M
Evening.

Sari died today.
She was much worse this morning, could hardly even lift her head. I took her to the vet, and she was put to sleep.
I've buried her in the garden.

Looking forward to the BB final tonight, and also to Davina's Big Send Off at 10pm, because Aisleyne will be there.
I see the bookies now have Chantelle in third place behind brian and Nikki.
I'll have to give Chantelle another couple of votes to try to get her to beat Nikki.

It was a bit showery today, but what with going to the vet and all the other stuff, i didn't get any gardening done.
I'll have to work tomorrow.

Enjoy all the shows. It'll be the last for a while at least.
emptybox
Good Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

Sorry too hear you Cat died Emptybox, it must have been very sick.

I've been off for 2 days, back at work Monday.

It's been a nice day here, started off a bit cloudy and windy.
Have finished the decking and the step area, put the Gazebo up and the side curtains.
Found some bad stitching on the ventilation section of the canopy cover, have notified the company.

O/H wants a French Window putting in the dining room, looks next the next project, although I won't be doing it, but we want plenty of lights outside for this winter.

Not sure who will come where in the voting, hard to judge with the voting public.
It will be whatever they want it to be, I'll be happy with that.

I think BB will carry on, someone will buy it.

Hi Emptybox.

Think Chantelle will be pleased with 3rd against that competition,
Brian has known for a long time, they all told him.

I still have a lot of earth to move, a lot of weed control matting to put down and a lot of blue slate.
I have a couple of big tree roots to get up as well.
Not to worry, I get plenty of time.
Hicky
Good Evening Everyone.

Done some more work in the garden, took a few pics then decided that the curtains on the gazebo should be hung inside the frame, have now changed them, also bought 2 plants for the entrance to to the decking, they are shrubs and evergreen that flower so need little attention.
Have moved the front vine over to the left where t should be, have put more blue slate down.
Have put the top cover on the gazebo, used a few safety pins to hold the bad stitching, it's only a 10cm section.
Will retake the pics tomorrow now.
Hicky
Good evening all

Emptybox
sorry to hear about your cat.  At least she had a good life with you, and you couldnt of tried any harder to keep her going, until it was impossible to do so anymore.  I am sure it must of been very sad for you, burying her in the garden.

Hicky
Well done on coming so far with your garden. What a shame about the gazebo though. Looking forward to seeing some more pics soon.

Glad to see Brian crowned winner, I agree, I think Chantelle will be content enough with 3rd place. Shame she spent a lot of the show, this time round, crying though.
I hope you are right Hicky, and someone buys BB, because I will miss it next summer if it is not around.

Had a busy day, my brother and his wife are here. We have been out and about walking with them, and I have been busy in the kitchen. Tommorrow we will take them to the seafront, fortuantely it looks like a good weather forecast.

hope you are having a good weekend. xx
M
Evening.
A lovely warm day here. I spent most of it working.

Must admit, I had a lump in my throat when i was laying the old cat to rest yesterday.
The house seemed a bit empty when she wasn't there to greet me when i came in from work today.

I enjoyed watching Merlin this evening, before my Spag Bol

Look forward to seeing the latest pics Hicky.

Hope you enjoy your visit to the seafront tomorrow Mollie.

*Hicky's OH's BD 8 days...and counting*

Evening all.

A nice day here, but a bit chilly now.
Hope the weather was nice for your seaside visit Mollie.

Went for my weekly shop earlier, and I'm going to have ommlette, chips and salad for supper.

Super new pics on your FB Hicky. The way you've got a rail round the decking, and the gazebo on it, looks like a summer pavillion.
Also like the contrast with the section of blue/grey slate, and the triangular section of white stones/slate with the 2 chairs on it.
You can see alot of work has gone into it.

I'm now missing having BB on the telly.
emptybox
Evening Mollie & Emptybox.

It's strange with no BB on.
Have put another 4 pics up with the Decking and Gazebo finished, still a lot to do on the rest of the surrounding area next to the fences.
http://www.facebook.com/album....398&l=f2a04a77cf
You should be able to see them on Facebook.

Hoping someone will buy the BB show

The house will seem very empty now Emptybox, one of the problems with pets, they don't usually live longer than us, so as with dogs, it can be a lot of heartache.

Hope your day at the Seafront went well Mollie.

I've had a lot of visitors this weekend, but we had got plenty in for them to eat.

Work tomorrow, no live feed, that will be strange, and rather boring, and one of the bosses has gone on Holiday to his Lads place in the USA.
Hicky
Good evening all

Aaawww Emptybox. yes I am sure you miss having that cat around when you come in from work. You had had her around for such a long time.
Yes Hicky, that is the trouble with pets, they do cause us a lot of heartache when they leave us, and they do have a short life span.

at Emtybox's birthday calendar countdown for Hicky. You have no excuse to forget it this year Hicky.

It has a lovely day here, very hot down by the seafront. The dog loved her walk too. she is shattered now and fast asleep on the chair.

Sounds like you too got the good weather Emptybox, hope you did Hicky.
Thanks for the garden piccies Hicky... wow, you could have a new career as a landscape gardener, that garden of your is looking so good.

Like you both, i too am missing BB.
Hope your day at work tommorrow isn't too boring and tiresome tommorrow Hicky without the livefeed.
M
Good Morning Everyone.

Where has the live feed gone, nothing to watch but the walls, and they don't even move.

Roll on 10am at least I can get some food.
Just on my 2nd cup of tea, it's going to be a long day.

I'm planning on ordering my new large plant tubs with handles, haven't seen any in the garden centers only the ones they have the tree's in and doubt if they sell them.
I might ask though.
Will be ordering the fruit trees in the winter but will probably keep them in the garage if it's too cold, till March anyway.
Hicky
Just heard that Chantelle and Preston have done a photoshoot together for OK magazine, but haven't had time for a proper talk yet.

 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvs...ml?ito=feeds-newsxml

I can't see them getting back together, but the piccies might be nice?

It's still raining here, so I just gave the house a good clean. Dusting and hoovering etc.
My sister-in-law was allergic to the cat, and always had to take anti-histamine  tablets when she visited. There's probably still cat hairs about the place though, despite my hoovering, but i guess they'll get less with time?
emptybox
Good evening all

Well Hicky
I bet you're glad your long Monday work day, minus livefeed is finally over.
I reckon your garden will be the best in the country by the time you finish all your hard work.

Emptybox
at your birthday reminder rhyme for Hicky.
thanks for the tip about the OK shoot, I;ll have to look out for it. I thought they would go to OK, but I agree with you , I cant see them getting back together. i dont think it would be good for her anyway. The same problems would reoccur I think.

I think there are a lot of people with pet allergies now.
I get allergies too, I know some of it is from hay fever, but I reckon a lot of it is from the pets too. So often have to take anti-allergic tablets.

Went to Pizza Hut with the family for tea tonight, very good value for the Happy Hour, 2 courses and drink for ÂĢ5.

Hope you had a good day.  xxx

I was going to go to my mums on my bike today. But had a funny noise on my bike , thought it was the mud flap, so moved it, and noise didnt stop. so stopped again, and realised I had a puncture. So had to come home again.
