Good morning everyone

Slightly frosty morning here, fairly sunny, forecast to get cloudier with light rain by evening.

Skylark, I,m no car mechanic. The coolant system work was ÂĢ170, and if I had done than myself it would have been considerably cheaper. The cost of the tyres at ÂĢ62 each was typical for standard tyres. I could have saved a few pounds by getting budget ones but I choose not to.

Good morning everyone, how exciting, here is a link to the official publisher page for Milly Johnson http://authors.simonandschuste...lly-Johnson/65784483

You can become a fan and be updated and on one of the links I followed it said there was a list of upcoming dates but it was still blank.

Good luck and good luck too with tracking down the Hello Kitty cake!

I quite agree EL cheap tyres is a foolish gamble IMO.  My hubby used to have a horror of those remoulded tyres, I don't even know if you can still buy them, but they were just that - tyres that had had new rubber moulded onto them and he used to point out huge bits of rubber on the motorways that had been shed from these awful things.

A local news story today which combines a couple of local news stories I've recently mentioned:

Mental health bosses are not planning redundancies when Gloucester prison closes at the end of March.

Healthcare provided by 2gether NHS Foundation Trust (2gether) at HMP Gloucester will conclude at the end of March. This follows the announcement from the Ministry of Justice that HMP Gloucester will close at the same time.

Visiting healthcare staff at the prison for the last time, Richard Graham MP said: “I was delighted to see Marieanne Bubb-McGhee (Service Manager) and members of the Prison healthcare team again in HMP Gloucester last Friday.

“The last Inspector's report showed very clearly, the extraordinary human achievements of the healthcare team and how they are working with prisoners. I've seen glimpses over the years of how difficult this can be so the team should go out with real pride in what they've achieved”.

Shaun Clee, 2gether’s Chief Executive, said: “We are all extremely proud of our staff and the services we provide at HMP Gloucester. The team is dedicated, uniquely skilled and committed to their service users.”

In 2012, a report from the Care Quality Commission noted that 2gether’s Prison Healthcare Team met all essential quality and safety standards in the Prison. People responding to a recent Care Quality Commission survey ‘expressed a high level of satisfaction with the health services offered.’

Shaun Clee continued: “Throughout the recent uncertainty, at a personal level, prison healthcare colleagues have continued to make sure that our service users continue to receive the highest level of care and treatment. It is testimony to their dedication and professionalism that they remain helpful, co-operating and supportive to those around them, in extremely difficult times.

“Our aim is to make every effort to help maximize and retain valuable skills within the county and we are working alongside local health and social care colleagues to identify all suitable opportunities. Working together with union representatives, colleagues will be fully supported in their ongoing career choices.”

Richard Graham MP continued: “I'm delighted that the NHS family is rallying around and to help secure local jobs for members of this highly qualified and experienced team. That is exactly what the NHS in Gloucestershire should be doing and it was good to hear it was working well in practice.”

He concluded: “All good fortune to each member of the team. You may be split up and go different ways but I suspect all of you will remember your time at HMP Gloucester.”

A trust spokeswoman confirmed 47 of its staff work there currently. "We are working with our staff to find alternative employment both within the trust and in the local health community," she said. "We do not plan to make any redundancies."

Evening all. Been in bed all day with sickness and bad stomach spasms. I'd just been saying that everything had stabilised but it seems I spoke too soon.

Summer, I think El was referring to your thread about your MiL's brass items.

Mr Yogi was buying two new tyres for his car today. You should all have got together to see if they would have given a discount on a bulk buy.

Hope to be back to normal tomorrow.

Evening all I hope everyone had a nice day. Yogi, how are you feeling now? Skylark I hope there's nothing to worry about with that danger message I'm stiff as an ironing board! My back has been aching something horrid since all the snow shovelling, and fearing it dropping out of line I have been working on strengthening & core work to support it. The good news is that my back feels loads better, but my poor thighs and glutes are suffering from delayed muscle ache lol I've just climbed in to bed and it feels like heaven
~Sparkling Summer~

Skylark, I have found out that the phrase "Danger, Will Robinson" is a quote from the television series "Lost in Space". What I don't know is why you got such a message. A Google search indicates that it has been used in spam messages. The chances are that the message has nothing to do with Social Strata and that a computer somewhere in the world had become a botnet and is churning these messages around the world. If you clicked on the message then your computer might become a botnet as well.
