There was only one in the end, heaven knows what time he came home but the youngest grandson had drunk too much round his friend's house, was sick and refusing to clean it up until the morning so very sensibly eldest grandson came back by himself, they had words but luckily made it up this morning over the phone.  Teenagers!

My son still does that on his days off - unless he is meeting his GF.

Aye they can move if they like

Love can move mountains - and even move sons from their beds.

It could have been worse, Squiggle - he could have been sick in your house.

At least the boys made up in the morning.

That's nice to hear, Squiggle.

Well I'm off to read, I'm really enjoying the book its by a lady who was on Come Dine With Me last year.  I bought it to see what she's like as an author and she's really good.  Her name is Milly Johnson and the book is called 'A Summer Fling' I shall be sorry to finish it.

Night night everyone, sleep well, hugs for all the night owls.

I enjoyed the last book you recommended so much, that I've gone and ordered this one, too.

Enjoy your book, goodnight Squiggle.

Good morning everyone

Colder this morning than recently, but after the night's rain, it's now nice and sunny.

A week or so I saw this British Airways advert and thought it was one of the classier adverts of recent times and had a cinematic feel to it.

But then yesterday I saw this Air France advert. Probably far less expensive than the British Airways one, very simple, but in my view one of the most beautiful adverts ever made. It was choreographed by Angelin Preljocaj and starring the dancers Benjamin Millepied and Virginie Caussin, the commercial was shot in the Moroccan desert, on a 400 square meter mirror floor, in a single sequence plan and with no special effects.

Ooh I hope you like it Yogi  I still haven't finished it I am relishing it

Good morning everyone, very blowy here with a threat of rain.  I'm hoping I can dodge the showers because I have just washed my hair and I have to carry a box of cookery books into our meeting so an umbrella is going to be difficult

Good morning everyone.  Very heavy showers and still quite windy up here.

I have been been without internet for nearly 12 hours, which is why I didn't get to say goodnight to everyone, last night. Hopefully, Virgin have sorted the problem and it won't go off again.

El, the first time I saw the BA ad, I thought it was a promo for a new film, and I agree there is a cinematic feel to it. I love the Air France ad too, it is so simple and beautiful. The male dancer must have a very strong neck!

Squiggle, I am sure I will enjoy the book. I read the blurb on it and it sounds good.

Summer, I hope you and Mr Summer are having a brilliant time and wish him a Happy Birthday from us.

I have the dentist for my six month check-up today and then I will be doing the weekly grocery shopping, so I'll be back later (Virgin broadband permitting).

Morning everyone xx
Very cold icy wind here.
I saw Milly Johnson too, on CDWM squiggle, recognised her face, she must have been on some other programme . Havent read any of her books tho, not keen on romantic novels , but glad you are enjoying the one you are reading xxx
El. the Air france advert is lovely, such strength in those dancers and they make it look so effortless x
Happy Birthday wishes to Mr Summer, hope you are both enjoying your time together xx
Oh the dreaded internet problems Yogi, hope things are sorted today xx

There's been rumours for some days started by reports that Plymouth council were putting their gritters on standby as from 1 October but it's because of being caught out last year. There's nothing I've seen on the Met Office website to say that snow is expected apart from possible snow on some Scottish mountains - there was a sprinking of snow today.

The truth is that weather can only be forecast with any real confidence for up to 5 days, any further forward is more like an educated guess.

Thanks squiggle x You have worked hard with the cookbook, hope it is all going well. My cheque is in the post, sent it this morning x
Yogi, re Michael Le Vell I hope it wont be trial by media, he hasnt been charged with anything, and as far as i have read no threat to society. But being a well known name, its all out there. Dont know if he is innocent or not, but i think names shouldnt be released until charges are made. Difficult, when in the public eye of course.............

I agree, because mud sticks, even when someone is later found to be innocent.

El, I hope the snow remains high in the mountains of The Highlands and stays well away from me.

Squiggle, glad you missed the showers - how did the book sales go?

Its quite hard to say really Yogi because the woman who is in charge of taking the money for them is a little vague.  My friend phoned me afterwards to say that she had asked for 4 copies and was told to help herself, she handed over her ÂĢ20 and it was not noted down on a list and ticked off or anything.  Goodness knows whether we will end up with the right amount of money at the end.  Oh well I have tried my best, I can't do any more.

Thanks Skylark, I will confirm when I have posted all the books

That's not so good, Squiggle. If I was collecting the money for the books, I would want all transactions recorded,

At least you know you did your best.

Yogi19

Please dont rush squiggle xx
What a pity after all your hard work the woman in charge is a bit hazy. But i am sure all will be honest and things will be ok . I know what you mean tho, i like everything organised , as i am sure you do too, and it can become..shall we say...slightly irritating when some have this laid back way of working. I am sure it will come good in the end tho
