Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I keep thinking it’s Saturday .....goodness know  why I’ve not done a lot today ...just some housework and washing and ironing .....my excuse is I’ve got the dentist tomorrow , so I’m saving my strength Hope you are all having a more productive day than me

Mollie , glad you are getting some appetite back ....it’s always a good sign....but make sure you take things slowly  Sorry you sons rash is worse though....fingers crossed it will clear up quickly once the antibiotics stop . I hope it’s not shingles though

Hicky , Sammy didn’t take any notice of the fireworks ....I think she’s too lazy to get frightened I don’t like taking the decorations down either ....makes me feel very sad ....but I did it on NYs day .....while I had the energy I’m looking forward to DOI ...and quite enjoyed Best Home Cooks yesterday ...do you watch it ?

Anyway, have a good evening both ....and Mollie ...special 90 minute long Gogglebox tonight

Baz

good idea to preserve your energy for going out to dentist tomorrow.

at your Sammy being too lazy to get frightened of the fireworks. A good way to be.

I didn't notice, so didn't see Best HOme Cooks.

90 mins of Gogglbox, that should be a treat. I love Gogglebox and the funny people on it.

Hicky

you certainly have a good supply of curries at the ready when needed. And I see you have ordered plenty of other stuff too.

That's good you are all ready for your spring planting.

Its the blue inhaler they gave me too, they also gave son one to help his breathing when he got this pneumonia. Turns out the terrible rash he got was just a delayed reaction to the antiboitics. He finished them Monday and at last the rash is easing.

Thanks for the heads up on all those good tv shows, looks for a good weekend tv wise. I read in my magazine how popular that show "The Masked Singer" has been when showed abroad.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Evening Both.

8c here today, sunny intervals and a moderate breeze.

Didn't have brekkie, had a chicken wing o/h had left in the fridge, made a sandwich, added some lime pickle to cover the chicken smell.

Did a bit more in the garden, clearing out some stuff from the manshed again, took out 20 rolls of bubble wrap, not sure how to get rid of them, they are 3ft long and 8" across, used to wrap them around the tree tubs.

Going to move the seed tray frame into the manshed from the greenhouse, i put it together in there but don't want to heat the greenhouse for the seeds but can heat the manshed.

Decided on making Egg fried rice for tea, not sure why but have everything i need, it was ok.

Have haten the duck from the freezer, it could take a while to thaw out, will cook it when it does.

Mollie, Glad your sons rash was only a side effect of the antibiotics, hope his health is on the mend now.

About time the good weekend viewing came back.

The problem with gogglebox is, i just get snatches of the program they are watching, their reaction is good but its all done for the camera.

Baz, I keep thinking it was saturday, even looked through the tv shows to see what else would be on then realised its friday.

Yes, saving your strength for the dentist is a new one on me as well, but why not.

O/H has taken the indoor decorations down, but outside lighted ones are still up.

Have a good Evening Folks.

Hicky

evening All, i see no ships.

(c today with sunny intervals and a fresh breeze.

Had saltfish for brekkie with smed bacon and normal, very tasty.

Did a bit more tidying outside as it was quite bright, brushed the floor in the manshed, mostly shredded bits that fell.

For tea just had a pack of laksa soup mix, tasty.

Had a Video can again from Oz, so lovely to see them all.

Hope you are both OK Mollie & Baz, a good couple of nights tv anyway.

Hicky

both  x

Baz

hope the dentist visit went ok.  Did you go anywhere else after?

Hicky

here's one ship, just sailing past right next to you.

That is good this time of year to get 2 straight days in a row that you are able to get in your garden. It was nice here too, even got a bit of sun.

Glad you got another video link, so good for them to be able to stay in touch with you.

I see you are enjoying your saltfish and the soup again.

I popped out to tesco with son for a bit of food shopping. We both felt exhausted after, so asked daughter to order a pizza delivery for us all. Very nice it was.

Am enjoying watching the Masked Singer now, what great costumes, the lizard one especially....then looking forward to The Voice after. Good to have some nice tv back again.

Have a good evening both xxx

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Another ship passing How are you both today ?i went to the dentist yesterday , so go me I HATE  them , but had a good deep clean , so that’s me done for a couple of months . Ive been for my spa hour today  ....nice relaxing facial and massage Apart from that all I’ve done is some washing and ironing Hope you are both  enjoying your Sunday .

Mollie , I hope you and your son are feeling better now I don’t watch the Masked Singer , but glad you enjoyed it Hicky , glad you had a video from Australia ....isn’t technology a wonderful thing

Anyway, have lovely evening ....I’m looking forward to DOI....even though it’s a really early start . Take care both

Baz

Baz

that's good you got another dentist visit out of the way now....your spa visit was well deserved today I reckon.

You are right about DOI being an early start, glad I checked so haven't missed the start.   I am not really bothered about wathing Strictly, but I do enjoy DOI. Think it is so hard to dance on ice and I like the original music tracks they dance to for DOI.

Then I will be watching the Masked Singer straight after. What brilliant costumes they are on this.

What a treat an hour and half of Gogglebox was. Gavin and Stacy they were watching is filmed close to us, and my friend lives there and saw the Christmas decs they used to film there in July! And it was boiling hot then.

Hicky

hope you had a good day. Did you manage to get in the garden?

Not a bad day here today, dull but at least it was dry and not windy.

Managed to go to Costco for a quick food shop, but felt exhausted. Too tired to eat in the cafe, but bought a take away jacket potato with beans and cheese home, as it is such good value from there. Daughter had a chilli baked pototo and son had a chicken strip sandwich.

Neighbour has gone away, so daughter is staying at their house to look after their little dog. She enjoys that though.

Had to take my blue inhaler in middle of night as the cough woke me up. I am wondering now if it would be best to take it before bed in the hope it controls the cough overnight? What do you think HIcky?

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Both.

10c today, cloud and sun with a moderate breeze.

got a few jobs done today, cut and fitted a new self adhesive strip on the floor between a bedroom and the hall, it kept unscrewing but couldn't put ;onger screws in because there are heating pipes in the joists.

My delivery came, some seven seas jointcare capsules, the salted peanuts and the chip shop hot curry block paste, i got 2 packs but 1 is for the 2 granddaughters who love curry so much.

I cut the duck into 4 pieces then roasted them, had 1 piece and will freeze 3.

I enjoyed DOI tonight, pity someone has to leave.

Mollie, I see the ships now, the tide has come in.

I think this month will be goof for getting in the garden, the seed potatoes have been posted so could get them tomorrow.

Now my lad in Oz has a good protected area they can have friends over for a BBQ as the area has now got a sand pit and play areas with seating and table areas, the little one loves it.

A good idea ordering a Pizza delivery, always popular and so easy to enjoy.

I see your daughter is staying over at your neighbour's tbh i can't understand why they have pets if they can't be with them.

about the inhaler, normally you take it when you feel short of breath as it reacts pretty quiock, if i am going to do anything that will need some exersion then i take 2 puffs, 30 seconds apart.

You could take them before bed but not sure how they help a cough, a cough means you have irritation in your throat or lungs doesn't it, not a breathing problem, but try by all means.

Baz, Yes, the dentist isn't the most pleasant place to go, ok for a clean though.

Glad you got your Spa hour, facial & massage, nice,

The video is a live video call, he calls us from his laptop to our laptop using Facebook Messenger, it's free and you can use it from most countries in the world, the little one doesn't understand we are live on the screen and keeps trying to touch us, bless.

Have a good evening both.

Hicky

Evening Mollie & Baz.

10c again, light cloud and rain but didn't see any, a moderate breeze.

Didn't have brekkie, but made a sandwich at 3pm of cheeze and tomato sauce.

Then made a chilli Con Carne.

didn't do a lot, o/h has bought another set of dining room chairs as the old set has bits that fall on the floor, she took 2 to the tips then another 2, then while liooking for the last 2 she only found 1 so we searched high and low but couldn't find the 6th chair, not in the building, not in the gazebo, summer house, garden shed, greenhouse, garage, oh, we never found it, and can't remember if we did anything with it.

We put the 5th chair in the manshed and swapped it for the metal guest seat that was in there, also we moved the plant table from the greenhouse to the summerhouse.

Had another video call from Oz, so good to see them all, his o/h has gone back to work today, he is supposed to be working from home as the baby can't go to the new Nursery for a couple of weeks, but she needs a lot of attention so he can't get anything done during the day.

Been watching the Darts all afternoon, it is on all week, the World Pro darts Championship, so happy to have a week of that.

My pack/box of Seafood soup arrived, 20 packs, also the pack of 100 x 9cm plant pots came as well,

Mollie, I enjoyed DOI last night, aren't they good, and the Masked Singer, didn't think i was going to enjoy that, but i did.

Hope your lad and you are getting over this bout of Pneumonia, so you can eat and sleep properly again.

Baz, Hope you have had a good lazy day with Sammy, take it easy and rest as much as possible.

Have a good Evening Both.

hope you have had a good day.

Hicky

that's odd how you couldn't locate one of the chairs. Hope the chair will be more comfy in your man shed than the metal one was.

Nice for you to hear from your son again. Yes I can imagine how it would be practically impossible to work from home with such a yougster to look after. Does the mum work away now or is she able to come home after work?

20 packs of seafood, that should last you awhile.

Yes I agree about DOI. I can't believe how good they were, even though it was only week 1.

Yes if you describe the Masked Singer, it sounds rubbish, but is so good to watch. They had Alan (the Egyptian) on This Morning and he said none of the staff knew who he was, he had to wear baraclava and big hood and a note saying "don't speak to me" in the studio and going to toilets. He said the costumers are extremely expensive (as you can tell), and the show was in the States before coming here. So they have had chance to try it out before we got it. I also read in a mag what a big success it has been abroad.

I took the inhaler before bed and it did seem to help the breathing. Doc told son to take it before bed, something about it loosening the gunge from the lower lungs. So I'll take it again tonight.

Didn't go out today as felt tired, just did a bit of paperwork and washing. Son helped me cook a family roast dinner. I had a Gregs no steak steak pasty instead of the chicken the family had. Delicious it was.

OH bought some of the Extra Special hot cross buns, they are delicous. All Easter stuff in shops now. I will try and resist the Cadbury mini eggs though as I love them.

Watched 24 hours in Police Custody. Very interesting documentary. But scary how many youngsters get involved in these drugs.

Have a good evening both xxx

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Well I woke up to no heating and no water  But my lovely gas man just came out and fixed it ....turns out it was the fan on the boiler Tbh I can get by without the heating ....I have a couple of electric fires ....but the thought of no hot waterLuckily my daughter came over this morning,  and I grabbed a cheap kettle while we were out....otherwise I would have been boiling water for  a wash on the cooker  Anyway , fingers crossed it will be ok now . Oooo , and my other good news is that they’ve finished the roadworks and reopened the road ....so I now have buses at the top of the road  again I hope your day is going better than mine was

Mollie , glad the inhaler is helping I watched 24 hours too ...and yes, I will be interested to see how it pans out tonight  Hicky , hope you’re having a good day . How is your garden doing ? I’ve got bulbs coming up , so spring is a coming

Anyway , I hope you both have a good evening ....and wish me luck that my heating stays on

Evening Mollie & Baz.

13c today, cloudy with a fresh breeze.

Had sausages on toasted bread for brekkie.

My seed potatoes arrived, they are now in the manshed for chitting which takes 6 weeks, then they will be planted.

The new dining chairs arrived, each needs 2 front legs fitted!!!!!!! but, they don't fit, the first chair i had to cut some of the cross support wood to allow the leg to sit, the same with more legs, on the next pair of chairs the legs wont even go in the place where they should, i will ring them tomorrow when i have checked how many need joinery doing, i can get them built when i can get in my manshed to get the toold needed, probably round file, drill, wood chisels etc, i'll see what they say, i'm not sending them back if i can fix them.

will be going to Claremon farm tomorrow for some veg etc, and sausages, stocks running low.

For tea had mushroom soup then tinned ox tongue sandwiches, yummy.

Mollie, The chair in the manshed is for the gardener when he comes, i have the old swivel deck chair, recliner.

Yes,, lads o/h in Oz i working from a local office so is home at night.

Am pleased the inhaler seemed to work taking it before bed, anything to help eh.

Easter stuff, wow, Easter is in April, we are in Winter.

I've been watching the darts all afternoon

Baz, Oh dear, no heating or hot water, what a blow, glad gas man could sort you out.

Electric fires are so expensive to run, 4 times the price of gas for the same wattage.

It will be handy having the busses running down your road again.

Have a good evening both.

Hicky

Baz

Gosh that was lucky your gas man fixed things so quickly, it would of been very upleasant with no heating or water this time of year. Hope it stays problem free now.

Thank goodness you will be able to get your bus stop back again.

Wow, what a story that Part 2 of 24 hours was tonight. It sounded like if that one guy hadn't blamed the other, they wouldn't of had enough evidence to pinpoint them to that spot in the woods, so they might of got away with it. Absolute scum the pair of them. Earning £2k a week or not, that lad would of still been alive if he hadn't dealt drugs.

I also enjoyed the naughty dog show on C5, they were so funny, especially the Great Dane who weighed 12 stone and stood 7 feet! The guy who sorts them is brilliant.

Hicky

Gosh that is a nuisance the legs don't fit the chairs. HOpe you can rectify it. They should refund you some money for that, remember to take photos, so you can complain about them.

I had mushroom soup the other day after you spoke about it.  I couldn't find the condensed one you had though, so I got the asda one. That's nice you have a chair each for you and the gardner in our manshed.

That's good that your lads wife doesn't have to work away now.

Didn't go out today, just tidied up a bit.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Here is the condensed soup, all the stores have it you probably have to ask, it might not be with the normal soups as it might be down with the cooking sauces.

This is the Asda link showing it. https://www.mysupermarket.co.u...hroom_Soup_295g.html

To tell you about the chairs, well, some of the legs wouldn't even go in so i rang the company and they said could we email them some pictures, we did that, 10 minutes later he rang back, it seems the instructions that come with each chair is wrong and the position the legs fit is the opposite to what is shown on the drawing, in fact they show too specific pictures one the right way and the other the wrong way, well the right way is wrong and the wrong way is right, you couldn't make it up could you, and they are made in China.

Anyway, went to the farm shop, got a few goodies, fruit, veg and curry sauces, also sausages and bacon and 2 Jacobs Ladders, also a beef and gravy pie which i had when we got home, the veg is about as good as you could buy anywhere, i got breakfast mushrooms, big yellow and red bell peppers, carrots, and i got Kiwi fruit and Pears.

For tea i had a mad idea of trying to create the beef curry and fried rice like i get from the takeaway, first i had to work out how they do their beef, it's called velvetting, so i took a piece of sirloin beef drom the freezer, thawed a bit and thinly sliced it, made a marinade as per their recipe, egg white, Chinese cooking wine, salt pepper, olive oila tablespoon of cornflour, mixy mix and put in a plastic bag witht he meat and leave in the fridge for an our or more, i prepared a half pint mix for the curry and started washing the rice, after the hour i drained the meat and put into boiling water to cook, put the rice cooker on and started heating the curry sauce, took some of the meat for my tea and froze the rest.

Had a busy day today really, i split all the meats down into usable sizes in clingfilm, my replacement clingfilm arrived today, i use a lot, mind you i buy rolls of 300m so they last a while.

Baz, Hope your heating is behaving, and Sammy as well, and hope you are taking it easy, leave what can be left till tomorrow or another day

Have a lovely evening Both.

Hicky

both

Baz

hope you are having a good day. Did you go out and so take advantage of the returned bus stop?

Hicky

thanks for the soup link, I know what to look out for and where to check for it now.

How ridiculous sending out the wrong instructions for the chairs. Maybe the wrong being right and right being wrong, got lost in the translation from Chinese to English? Are they going to give you some money back to make up for it?

Gosh, making that copy of the take away sounds complicated. No wonder you had a busy day. Did you find your own as good as, or better than the take away?

Watched that true life story about murders on the farm last night, what a terrible tale it was. Some don't reckon the guy serving life was the guilty one.

Going out this afternoon with drama son to see King and I in the Cardiff theatre, so that will be nice as I have hardly been out lately, and it will be easy just sitting in theatre.

Nice and bright here so far, but was very windy overnight.

Have a good day both xxx

M

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Hope you are all having a good day . Cold and dull here, so it’s been yet more housework and washing for me ....although not as much as yesterday Weather is looking brighter tomorrow though, so I will pop into town ....and probably go to the library . My daughter is working again this weekend so it will break things up a bit

Oh and guess what .....Cyril the Squirrel is back He was sitting there as bold as brass on the hedgehog house roof when I pulled the blinds this morning . Sammy was spellbound watching him from the window  He scampered around a bit , and  nicked some food off the bird table , before heading off back to wherever he lives Anyway , it cheered me up no end ....at least for a while

Mollie , have a lovely time at the theatre this afternoon....hope you and your son are continuing to improve  Do you mean the Jeremy Bamber murders ? If so , I didn’t watch the programme , but have seen other ones about it ....appalling ....hope they keep him locked up permanently

Hicky , bummer about the chairs ....talk about sloppy !Your Chinese curry sounds very complicated , although I’m sure it tasted nice  I’m looking forward to the second part of best home cooks tonight . By way , did either of you watch the big pottery throwdown  last night ? It was the first time I’d seen it , but I quite enjoyed it ....but like Bake Off for potters

Anyway , have a good evening ...and take care both

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Cool today at 6c with light cloud and a fresh breeze.

Had what was supposed to be 4 runny eggs for brekkie but left them on the heat and forgot so i had 4 hardboiled eggs, bother.

Did a few jobs in the garden, will do bits at a time, put the heating up a bit in the manshed, it is automatic but i have it on a timer so it can only come on for half an hour every hour, i have the seed potatoes in there so want them to chit/sprout.

Was watching the darts again, the host always says we will be back on at 7pm, but i've not been able to find them on Quest so i did some googling, wow, the evening darts is only on Eurosport, so i found Eurosport on my BT box channel 412/3 or 435/6 for HD but when i go to watch it it tells me i have too many BT boxes on the Broadband and either have to swap the sport service from the other box or get a dual subscription to use 2 boxes, well, after 30 minutes on the phone they say i will get the extra service within 24 hours, an extra £6 a month, don't even know what channels i will be able to watch.

An update to the BT saga, it seems when you order an extra subscription on BT they send you a free BT box automatic, problem is it doesn't come till the 13th and the extra channels start from the 14th, oh my god, what a system, i have to have qa box i don't want and can't get the extra channels because i need the box first, what shear lunacy.

For tea i had 4 baked potatoes then covered with grated cheese then covered with baked beans, nic.

Mollie, I'm still confused about the chairs and the instruction sheet being wrong, when i looked on the site for reviews of the chair, they said nothing about an error, they just said it was awkward to assemble, but assuming all the boxes had the same instructions how did they assemble the chairs?

Now it means the large bolts that secure the leg to the seat frame are pulling on the thread insert in the direction it was put in which is not what usually happens, fixings are usually pulling the inert to tighten it not trying to pull it out, mind you the insert is screwed in so should be ok.

I won't get anything back, they don't pay much for inconvenience.

Making the velvet beef was interesting, bui wasn't sure how long to boil it for to cook it, i think it should be marinated overnight really, but the principle worked, the meat should be sliced thin and marinated then drained and put in boiling water to cook, i think i undercooked it, will do it better next time, might try it next time with Rump as it's cheaper. but i can't use precut steak as its too thin, 1" would do though.

I wouldn't say my first attempt was better than the takeaway.

I don't watch murders, remember, half of those in jail should be out and those out should be in, in the old days it always went to a jury, that way the police had a 50/50 chance of a guilty verdict and they could close the file on the books, otherwise it was unsolved and that was very bad for the area, whether you did the crime or not didn't matter that much.

Hope you enjoyed the King and I, good to get out, and sit.

Baz, Yes, if weather is not good, just stay in till it gets better, don't take a chance on getting ill, the less you are near other people the better.

I do everything to deter grey squirrels as they do me so much damage, they will eat almost anything when they are hungry, a bit like humans.

I didn't watch the pottery program, a bit too boring for me.

Have a great night, and a lovely sleep both.

Evening Both. :

Can't see you, it must be the fog.

It was 9c today with sun and a moderate breeze.

Had bacon and black pud on toast for brekkie.

Got more jobs done in the garden, just about all done now, still got the modifications to the watering system pipework to do but it's not needed till May probably so will wait till the spring as the pipe and fittings don't go together too well in the cold.

Finished rehashing the netting around the raised beds and have refastened all the vine canes, instead of using clips you wrap the cane around the support wire.

My delivery of Kirkland signature triple satin 3 ply 40 pk toilet tissue, always buy this, have done for years, from Amazon of course.

For tea had a big bowl of Korean seafood noodle soup, wow, potent stuff that, then had a potion of an apple pie i had just baked, one o/h bought for Christmas.

Have had a couple of Kiwi fruit, didn't realise you don't have to peel them, just wash and wipe, lots of goodness in the skin.

Mollie, Hope you and your lad have overcome the infections and are getting back to normality.

Baz, Hope you managed to pop into town and get to the library.

Just take it easy.

The weekend is here, some good tv at last.

Have a good Evening both.

Baz

hope the weather was ok today, so you managed to get into town and to the library today.

Aaaww how nice you and Sammy got the enjoy watching Cyril the squirrel eating the birdfood. He must of got hungry mid sleep because I thought they hibernated in winter?

Yes I did mean the Jeremy Bamber murders, awful thing. It is being dramatised over the next 6 weeks and started this week.

We have been done! No gogglbox this week, so I guess we are repaying for that great double episode we had last week. Do you know if we have a long wait now for it to come back?

I missed that pottery show, sounds quite interesting, especially if it is along the lines of Bake Off. What channel is it on? Was it the 1st one in the series this week? If so, I will try and catch up.

Hicky

hope your seed potatoes do well now you have turned the heat up for them.

Goodness what a ridiculous system that BT thing is. Hope you get it sorted ok so you can enjoy the tv you want to see.

Its strange none of the reviews on the chair mentioned there was an error.

Sounds like you need a bit of extra time and energy to do a copy cat takeaway.

That's good the weather was nice enough for you to get in the garden. It was lovely here too today for January. The washing even got almost nearly dry on the line today.

I had heard you could eat the skin of a kiwi fruit, but don't think I fancy it. My fave kiwi are the golden ones, so nice and soft and sweet.

We did enjoy "The King and I" thank you. A full theatre, the little kiddies in it were so cute. I was exhausted when we got home though, as we went to a near by pub for tea before we came home to avoid the rush hour traffic in the heavy rain. I was too tired, so could hardly eat any of my pizza (not like me), so good job it was on BOGOF. But I am much better than I was now. Stayed in today though.

going to watch Jane Mcdonald tonight. I like her.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Hope you’re all having a good Saturday . It’s cold and miserable here ....not that I’ve been further than the bin Went into town yesterday ....which was a lovely day weather wise . So Sammy and I have just done a bit of housework and washing today  ....well one of us have....the other one has simply slept , ate , and demanded belly rubs .....

Mollie , hope you and your son are feeling a lot better now Did his rash clear up ?Glad you enjoyed the King and I . I know , no Gogglebox I don’t know when it will start again , but nothing showing for next week either The Big Pottery Throw-down is on More 4 on Wednesday at 9 ....and yes , last week was the first one of the series . I’d never watched it before , but quite enjoyed it

Hicky, did you watch Monty Dons Gardens of America yesterday ? It’s a three part series .  I’ve never heard of that loo paper....but it sounds very luxuriousHow are your eyes ? My viewing for tonight is all history programmes

Anyway , have a good evening both . DOI to look forward too tomorrow Take care

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

12c today here with a cloudy morning, it said rain after that but didn't see any, srong winds.

Just had toast and marmalade for brekkie as i was preparing to make Jacobs Ladder Casserole, which i then made.

I have been putting some Loctite glue around the little window on the soil moisture meters as i want to use them outside the greenhouse in the summer.

Going to make 3 stuffed bell peppers tomorrow as i have 3 big peppers.

I had one meal of the casserole and will be able to freeze a few more tonight.

Saw some darts today, and a night of singing tonight.

Mollie, Yes, BT is run by computers it seems, the operators talk and the computer does the ordering, so i can't watch the channel i want till the computer tells me i can, but i wanted to watch channel 412 on Thursday, not next Tuesday.

How everyone has been building the chair legs with the instructions wrong i have no idea, in fact i was going to put a front leg in the wrong place to start and o/h said the drawing shows it different so we tried that but is didn't work.

Since reading about eating the skin on the Kiwi fruit i now wash it and slice thin slices with ta knife skin on, ne problem.

Pity you couldn't enjoy your Pizza from the pub.

Hope you and your lad are over the worst of the infection and well on the recovery road.

Baz, Don't blame you not going out, not if you can manage not to.

I saw one of Monty Doms programs in the US.

That toilet paper is the best ever, have used it for many years, never use any other, £19,99 for a 10 pack pack of 40 rolls.

No change on my eye's but i am at the hospital tomorrow for another injection in the eye i think.

Best ever Tissue
Best ever toilet tissue

A walk to the bin doesn't sound a very scenic route. But probably the best choice fo a walk for a dull January day.

I like the way Sammy decides how to share out the household chores with you.

I am gradually getting energy back now thanks, doing more each day  and at last son's awful rash has gone.

I'll see if I can find Pottery show on catch up. thanks for the info.

What a nuisance they can't even work out how to let you watch 412 when you want to watch it.

Those chairs have proved to be a real puzzle, and so odd how no one else has mentioned this problem.

I have seen that toilet paper in costco. We buy a lot of their own Kirkland stuff as it always seems to be good quality stuff.

Went for brekkie in a local cafe, then a quick round of the shops to get a birthday pressie. Tired me out the rest of the day, but at least I am going out again.

Watching Masked Singer now, love this show can't get over how good these costumes are, no wonder they were so expensive. Wonder if they will correctly guess any of them? I did hear on This Morning that some of them have really good singing voices, but are pretending they don't have.

Then looking forward to the Voice.

Have a good evening both xxx

Evening Mollie & Baz.

8c today with sunny spells and a moderate breeze.

Had eggs and black pud on toast for brekkie.

Seemed to have a lot of energy today and no pain so was looking for jobs to do in the garden, not sure if it's the new tablets from Seven Seas but i was bouncing around, more than usual.

Made  stuffed peppers but the recipe wasn't the best so i have found another, had a lot of the mixture over so will keep it, freeze it and modify it when i get more peppers.

The casserole i made yesterday made 5 portions, i ate one and froze 4.

Watching the darts now as it is on Quest, am recording DOI.

Have got the eye clinic at the hospital tomorrow afternoon so i'll have to see what happens, i think its for an injection, i can usually see by what it says on the appointment letter.

Mollie, Glad your lads rash has gone, so strange how side effects can show themselves, the body is so complex.

I have always found that the Kirkland brand is top notch, i always buy that if it is available.

Yes it's good that you can get out again, and for a brekkie, worth the walk.

I enjoyed the night of singing, yes, those costumes would cost thousands to make, i imagine they are all hired from a costumery.

I don't think it would matter if they guess who they are or not because they won't know till they get unmasked, and to be honest they don't have a clue, they just say anyone.

Baz, Hope you and Sammy had a good day and took it easy, had a lot of rain overnight, neighbours garden was pretty flooded today when i looked over the fence

Hope you enjoyed tv last night, and you have DOI tonight, i watch a lot of recording at night because so many of the ones on tv are repeats which annoys me, i put the program on that i watched the day before and it's the same, don't understand them.

And on Aussie Gold Hunters on one station the series has started again from series one about 2015 or 16.

Have a lovely night both.

Baz

Hope you are having a good Sunday. Did you get out today?  Or  just snuggle up in the warm house?. (like Sammy does).

I have found the pottery programme and are watching it now. As you say, a similiar format to Bake Off, so I keep expecting them to start baking.

I used to do pottery at school but mine came out awful. Only my mum was proud enough to display my efforts.

Hicky

that is brilliant to hear you are bouncing around with energy. Hope it continues. You'd better continue taking those Seven Seas as they have certainly done you no harm then.

That's good you have found some darts to watch.

I hope the hospital can help you out with your eye problems tomorrow. Do you have to get a taxi?

Hope you are happier with the recipe results when you get your next lot of peppers.

Yes they are not very good at guessing on Masked Singer. Do they have those security there at the beginning to guard the costumes because they are so expensive?

Remember those days before we used to have recordings and such a limied choice of tv channels? I am so glad it is not like that now.

Enjoyed Dancing on Ice and Love Island;s on soon. It wll seem odd watching this in winter.

We went to Costco today. As you say, Kirkland makes always seem the best. Got a huge jacket potato with cheese and beans for £1.50, bought it home to eat for tea, as I treated myself to one of their delicous ice creams with caramel sauce whilst we were there.

Have a good evening both xxx

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  How are we both  today? I was intending going to town , but by the time I got my act together the rain had closed in, so I stayed put It’s been washing and ironing insteadApart from that next doors window cleaners scared the heck out of Sammy by climbing over their back gate Mind you , they made such a racket even I jumped !

Mollie , yes, I kept expecting them to bake too But hope you enjoyed it . I would have loved to have tried my hand at pottery ....although , given my complete lack or practical and artistic skills,  I would have been useless at itI enjoyed DOI ....and thought the right one went ....although I found some of the marking last night a bit off kilter .

Hicky , hope you’re having a good day ....and that the eye appointment has gone well . Do you watch Winterwatch / Springwatch at all ? I’ll be glad when Gardeners World returns to brighten up my Friday night  I don’t watch Love Island ....from the little I have seen they are all far too young and  “plastic “ for me ....I like my reality tv to have a good mix of ages

Anyway, whatever you are watching tonight , have a good evening both

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

9c today heavy rain a t times with a strong wind.

Had smoked bacon and tomato on toast for brekkie, with brown sauce of course.

O/H took me to the hospital for the injection, i was there an hour, they said i have fluid behind the eye on the AMD which they are trying to dry up, i should see the doctor on next visit.

For tea after seeing o/h had moved some closed cup mushrooms from her lower shelves in the fridge to the higher ones, which gives me access i decided on having a beef & mushroom meal, on rice, most of my steaks etc are in the garage freezer and it was raining so looked through a few shelves in the American fridge freezer in the kitchen, found a sirloin steak, i must have cut it off that sirloin joint i bought the other week, anyway, i sliced it up and fried it, made a pan of gravy with added pepper and chilli, made a portion of rice in the cooker, let the beef and gravy simmer for 3/4 hour, it was very nice, got enough to freeze a meal as well.

The BT box arrived, it isn't one you can record with so not exactly what i wanted, but it's free, it comes with all the cables and a free remote control, so i have spares.

I forgot to say yesterday had a video call with Oz for half an hour, very nice.

Mollie, Yes the new tablets could be doing me good, this carton last 45 days so i will see if i should carry on or go back to my old tablets.

I think the security are more there to help them on and off the stage as i imagine they can't really see.

Haven't seen DOI yet, still got the recording, watched the grtest dancer before, i missd Love Island but saw it on ITV Hub earlier.

Good idea to take the meal home from Costco, i had done that a fe times, used to love their Shepheards pie until they altered the ratio of potato to meat.

Baz, Yes, not keen on window cleaners climbing over fences and gates, they shouldn't do it but they will.

I'v got a floater, a black blob floating around in the eye after the injection, it usually goes after a day, just annoying seeing it, like the size of a golf ball, it wasn't there till i wiped my eye with a tissue, i have had it before a few times.

If the injections dry the fluid up i may see again.

I sometimes watch Winterwatch and Springwatch but it's getting all the times and stations together, i often just watch whats on unless i go searching, i don't really have a strict schedule as there are so many stations.

I'll watch DOI tomorrow during the day sometime.

Have a lovely Evening Both.

Hicky

Baz

don't blame you staying in today with the weather warnings.

no wonder Sammy was startled and you jumped with a window cleaner jumping over the gate. Must of been quite loud.

I did enjoy the pottery show, will follow it now. The end results were really good. So thanks for telling me about it.

I agree, the right one went off DOI.

Tonight I am watching the new series of "Cold Feet". I enjoy it and have been watching it for years now. Am recording "Love Island" tonight. I agree, they are young and plasticie. But I usually watch it in summer as there is not much else on tv in summer, so I will see how it goes this year.Plus  I do find the comedian commentator on it funny.

Hicky

That's good your OH could take you to hospital today. Now they know what is causing the problem, let's hope the doc can help sort the fluid out now,and so improve your sight. Hope the black blob floater goes soon. Must be so irritating.

Shame your BT box doesn't record, but as its free, at least you have lost nothing.

Yes I guess it is difficult to see in the Masked Singer masks.

Sounds like you worked out a good recipe for your tea tonight. I had veg (including my fave...sprouts) and cheese and potato pie for tea.

Been helping neighbour look after her dog today whilst she had to go out today, as she and her hubby leave for India in the early hours today. Daughter moving to their house to dog sit for a month. She does enjoy looking after the little dog though.

Not been too bad weather all day but got very wet later on. Luckily we haven't (as yet anyway) had the strong winds a lot have.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz. :

8c heavy rain and a fresh breeze.

Didn't have brekkie as we were going to go to the farm shop today as o/h going to SIL tomorrow.

Got some nice fruit and veg, got more peppers to try out the new recipe for the stuffed peppers.

Watched the Greatest Dancer & DOI then Love Island recording, had to use ITV hub to watch Aftersun with Laura.

Such a beautiful Villa on Love Island, wow, it's 5 times bigger than the one we usually have in the summer.

I'm thinking of using a soaker hose to water the big veg tubs as i have 4 in a row next to 8 in 2 rows, the 15m soaker hose to  pass each twice, would have to tape over the hose as it passes between tubs,

I thawed the left over bell pepper filling and added Bolognese sauce, chopped up green Jalapeno chillies, more grated cheddar cheese, halved the peppers lengthwise and deseeded them, simmered them for 8 minutes then laid the out on a baking tin covered with baking paper, heated all the mixture in a big frying pan then filled the 6 halved of pepper with the mixture grated more cheese over the filling, baked for 25 minutes at 160c, wow, had 3 and was going to consider how to keep the other 3 but changed my mind as they were so good, ate them all.

Mollie, The eye injection is to try and dry the fluid at the back of the eye, when i does i may be abole to see with it.

The floater has just gone in the last couple of hours, it started getting smaller this morning.

I had to go to bed last night at 9pm as after an injection the eye feels grity so is hard to keep open, i had a couple of hours sleep thought it was morning and went to the loo, it was 11.30pm, so thought i was probable hungry so made some toast and put crab paste on, probably because i do snack after 9pm and missed out.

I picked up a big rump steak so i can make some beef and onion dinners, just read the receipt, it's a rare breed rump. oh heck and its 726g that should make a few meals.

I don't understand your neighbour even having a dog when they are never there to look after it, it seems to me that for some reason they have to keep the dog, as if it was a present/gift, it doesn't make sense.

Cheese and potato pie sounds good, did you have the sprouts as well?

Baz, Hope you day has gone ok and the rain/wind hasn't been too bad, did you manage to get out to the shops etc.

I wonder why cats don't like the rain, maybe they don't like wet paws.

I'm watching Salvage Hunters: The Restorers, so clever.

Have a good evening Both.

Hicky

both xxx

Baz

hope you and Sammy have had a good day.

Hicky

I bet the fruit and veg from the farm shop is nice. Is it all grown on the farm?

Yes the Love Island villa is huge this year.

Hope your watering system works out ok.

You definately enjoyed your pepper recipe if you ate all 6 of them.

Glad to hear the floater has gone now and hope the injection does dry the fluid up.

that is one big steak. I am sure you will enjoy cooking with it though.

Yes I had sprouts, peas and carrots with my cheese and potato pie.

Because I was looking after neighbour's dog when daughter had to go out, son made me some baked Caemenbert with home baked rolls and salad for tea. We shared the cheese, very nice it was.

My neighbour's dog is age 14 now, she got the dog originally for her young kids because she felt guilty moving them here from India. As time has gone by, the kids have left home, so the dog has become a nuisance to her and her hubby when they want to go out or away. Her hubby is gradually struggling more to walk now as he has muscular distrophy, so they go away when they can. But she said she'd feel too guity to get rid of the dog now and her kids (even though they have left home) would not like it either. So that is why we help out with the dog. And also because my daughter loves animals.

Watched A and E tonight and recorded Love Island, as I am skipping through a lot of it, not sure if I will stick with it this winter. I prefer it in summer and have other stuff to watch in winter. I did hear already they have lost a lot of viewers and the extra show will not be shown at all next time. So not sure if they have done the right thing showing it is winter too.

I will have to look out for the pottery show again as I did enjoy that show.

Have a good evening both xxx

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky Sunny , with a chill wind, but seeing as it’s going to be raining again tomorrow and Friday I thought I’d pop into town and gets some fresh air  I wanted to get some solar lights for Mr Bs  flower bed , but I couldn’t find any I liked   But I did pick up some bird feed, and a couple of others bits and bobs . Plus I’ve done two lots of washing , so quite a productive day , at least by my standards  Hope you are both  having an equally productive day

Mollie , hope you are continuing to recover They are making a chess set ...and a miniature vase on Pottery Throw Down  tonight  I watched A&E last night ....when I was a teenager I had almost the exact same accident as the young lad , so it made me squirm a bit

Hicky , glad the floater has gone . They are very annoying , aren’t they ....but mine cleared up on its own ...although they did test me for a detached retina , just in case . I agree about the dog ....that’s why I decided against one . I have no mobility problems at the moment ....thank goodness ....but as I’m in my 70s I can’t bank on that lasting ....at least the cat doesn’t need  walking

Anyway , I hope you both have a nice evening ...and careful how you throw those pots Mollie

Baz

Evening Mollie & Baz.

10c today, sunny with a fresh breeze, nothing really to do in the garden, just had a walk around and a sit in the manshed/summer house but nothing needed my attention.

Decided to have Spag Bol for tea as i had opened the jar of Bolognese sauce last night for my stuffed peppers so get another 250g pack of mince from the freezer to make it, chopped an onion and some Jalapeno chillies, grated some cheese and boiled some Tagliatelle instead of Spaghetti, so easy to make and so tasty.

I was expecting a delivery, i ordered a 1L container of cleaning liquid refil for the razer cleaning machine, it will refill 10 of the cassettes i use.

Mollie, Not sure if all the veg is grown on the farm, it will be local to it, it's just loose in big boxes, it must be fresh every day, you can tell by looking or handling, massive sacks of potatoes, probably 25kg or more £7.50 but no way could we use them.

tried the Kiwi with the foil shaver, it worked, ate one like an apple, i got 5 yesterday, 40p each.

I cut the rump steak up, after taking fat off it weighed 550g so diveded into 4 bags to freeze, i was thinking i could take 1 bag, defrost then get an onion and chop it up, then make a tasty gravy and make a rice cake, that would make a nice meal.

With the new BT sport/addition channels i get loads, must be hundreds, will have to look through the selection, it must be everything i couldn't get.

I thought that would be the case with the dog, but why didn't the children take it, sying they feel awful getting rid of it, rubbish, they bought it for the children not to be lumbered with it.

Not sure about Love Island, it will be on in the summer as well, but then i am often in the garden then, the aftershow Aftersun is only on Monday night and Saturday is just the unseen footage, not on Sunday.

Baz, You have had a busy day then really

Yes, the floater clears by itself, don't always get it, it's so strange, and it gradually gets smaller.

Yes a cat would be more suited to you, no walkies but some like a lot of attention, some are more lovable than others.

Have a good evening Both.

Hicky

Baz

good idea to go out today whilst it is dry, as the forecast is sounding none too good for the next couple of days.

Pity you could't find any lights you liked though.

Thanks for the pottery show reminder,  I didn't realise it was on tonight, as I got it on repeat last time. I was very impressed with what they made last time. Gosh a chess set, that won't be easy to make.  Yes nearly throw down time, take care!!

That's true, at least you don't have to walk the cat, and it is of course a bit of nice company for you. Emptybox used to have a cat that he was fond of. It was his parents originally but elderly, and I know he was very upset when he had to put it down, I think it was around about the year before we lost Emptybox.

Hicky

Nice for you to have a walk round the garden and sit in the manshed even if nothing needed doing.

Sphag bol, that is a bit of a change for you. And I know who that reminds me of....remember how Emptybox always had his with a beer on Saturday nights.

I had mini quiches from Costco for tea, they are so delicous with veg for tea.

Kiwi fruits are supposed to be full of VitC, so really good for you.

Did you say the BT addition was only £6 a month, if so, sounds like it was worth it for all those channels. Is the internet reliable with them, as we are not happy with sky who we currently have. We got rid of tv with them, but haven't changed internet yet. We need a good one with 5 in the family using it.

Yes hadn't thought of that about neighbours dog...rahter selfish for the kids both to leave home and not take the dog, especially now their father is disabled, and mum has to do everything round the house. Good job my daughter enjoys looking after the dog though and it does her good, as she is so quiet and underconfident round people a lot of the time.

Anyone watch Breaking Dad on itv? It is Bradley Walsh and his dad travelling round USA. Very interesting and funny too.

Going to watch a drama now.

Have a good evening both xxx

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  I’ve had a really fraught morning The window cleaner came and must have scared the life out of Sammy Once he had gone I couldn’t find her anywhere....I was terrified that maybe she had got out when I had opened the door . I looked everywhere ...even rattled her bowel ....but to no avail ....I thought I had lost her She finally reappeared from right under Mr Bs recliner chair , but we went right back to when I first got her ,....she was so frightened it took her ages to even let me stroke her ....never mind eat . I think she’s getting over it now , but is still holed up on the landing Apart from that the  weather is awful , so I’ve not been out ...except to feed the birds and go to the bin ...so I changed the bed , washed and ironed ....and that’s it Hope you are all having a good day though

Mollie , What did you think of Pottery last night . I thought some of them were very good ...Andy for example ...but I thought the wrong one went ....it should have been the older guy ! ! I meant to record Breaking Dad ....cos I really like Bradley Walsh ...so I’ll download it from Catch Up .How are you and your son feeling now ? Hicky , how are your eyes today ? Can we all come round yours for steak and chips please

Anyway , it’s Best Home Cook tonight ....then Supervet Whatever you’re both watching , have a good evening

Evening Mollie & Baz.

11c today, heavy rain held off till dark, could hear it before, it went so dark i had to close the blinds to put the lights on.

Had bacon and egg on toast for brekkie, had a delivery, a pack of 220 sheets of special baking sheet 30 x 40cm fantastic, i spend so much time cutting baking sheet off a roll as i use it on most things that go in the oven as i like to keep stuff that sticks from the baking trays.

Have used the drawing aid on the computer to compile the list of seeds and plants with all the details including the qty of seeds etc, the sow date, plant date, harvest date, i will keep a copy in the summerhouse where the plants will be reared.

Went to the garage to get a meal for tea, picked up one of the meal tubs, saw the words beef/gravy so thought i knew what it was, well, it wasn't, it turned out to be a container of sliced cooked beef from the Christmas Rib beef we had, so i thwed it and cut the beef slices up, heated in a pan and put back some beef for tea, then chopped up celery, mushrooms, onion as i realised there was no veg in the pan, or potatoes so made a rice cake, added a tsp on red chilli powder and made rather a nice meal.

Found 3 small scones in the freezer while rooting so had them, will make a new batch tomorrow using the new recipe i got.

Mollie, I had to make Spag Bol in order to use up the rest of the sauce, i had opened a bottle, when i added the sauce to the mince and onions i also added grated cheese and chilli powder, that made it rather special and added grated cheese over it when on the plate, oh yes, the way to go.

I have only ever had phone and internet from BT so i can't comment on others, i would never change either.

Yes, £6 a month extra, o/h has it on her BT box as well, the internet does cut off some nights late on for a few minutes but we get pretty high speed, fibre part way and we get all the calls free, but of course you can select what you want, we have caller display on the phones and my new Panasonic phones talk and tell me who is calling.

No, didn't see Bradley just too much to watch these days.

Baz , Oh dear, why is Sammy so scared of people, she mush have had some awful experience surely, but not much you can do to cure that.

My eyes are ok now, the floater gone and i think the left eye sight is improving a bit, hope so anyway.

I'm pretty sure you would love a meal at my place, the menu is pretty vast, there isn't much that can't be made considering the amount of basic foods and spices.

It's hard enough for me to decide what to make each day, Nacho's will be coming soon as i have 2 bags of the Tortello chips in the cupboard.

Will have to stop food cooking as space is at a premium in the freezers.

Have a good evening both.

Hicky

Baz

Aaaww poor little Sammy getting so frightened, and poor you too in a panic thinking you had lost her. I guess someone suddenly appearing at the windows would be pretty scary if you are so small and vulnerable and didn't know what it was. Maybe you should get the window cleaner to text just before they come next time? Good job you were at home at the time, so she knew you were still around. Hope she feels safe enough to emerge from the landing soon.

I loved the pottery last night. The porcelain looked difficult, and the chess sets were so impressive . I agree and thought the older guy would go. I am enjoying this series, you were so clever finding it, because I would not of noticed it hiding there on E4.

Breaking Dad was just brilliant again, what a team these 2 make.

A good day to stay in because of the weather. Hope forecast is right, as it says we are due some dry and sunny weather, cold though, but as long as its dry, that's fine.

Son and I are feeling stronger each day thanks. He seems to of got over it quicker than me, but then of course that is to be expected, taking into account age. It is mainly just tiredness now, and if I do too much I feel a bit nauseous. Going back to doc tomorrow, so am hoping she can hear improvement in my rattly chest.

Hicky

That sounds hopeful news about your eyes, if you think it cold be slightly improved, and good that the floaters have now gone.

That handy now to have your baking sheets ready cut.

Sounds like you have planned your seeds and plants out well already.

Glad your meal turned out fine despite it not being what you thought it was in the first place, and lucky you found a few scones too whilst rooting around. Daughter went to town today and she bought me some fruit scones from the little bakery. They were nice, but not as nice as her home made ones.

£6 a month is good as your OH can watch on her box too. Our Sky is often cutting off for awhile late evenings, very annoying for my lads if they are online gaming.

Nice to hear your Nachos are to be back on your menu again. I love those, so when Baz and I come round, I choose those as a starter please.

Went out for brekkie with OH and son today at local garden centre. Then did a bit of food shopping on the way back in Sainsburys. Bought a new soft orange jumper in their half price sale too.

Watched Brits Abroad, and now watching Love Island.

Have a good evening both xxx

Baz

hope you and Sam are having a good day with no scary window cleaners today. Hope she has come down from the landing by now.

Did you go out today?

Hicky

wonder what you made for tea today?

We went to the BOGOF at the local pub tonight. I had a meat free burger, with mash and salad, very tasty. One of my lad;s had curry, one had lasagne, and OH had scampi. Daughter is with neighbours dog, so we got her a curry from asda to eat at neighbour's house.

Went to doc today and she gave me referral form to go for repeat x ray, so went to hospital and got that done. Luckily I didn't have to wait long,so was home by 10.30am. Feeling lot better now, although cough woke me in night, so I had inhaler, which settled it again.

Not much to watch tonight (I am missing Gogglebox!).....so will watch Love Island.

Have a good evening both  xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

8c today with light rain showers, didn't see any though, a moderate wind, which i didn't see either, because you can't see wind.

Made a bacon and mushroom omelette for brekkie, oh and it was covered in grated cheese as o/h had brought it in from my shopping list, saves so much grating.

My new hose reels came with the Celery seeds, problem is i noticed somewhere it said sink the hose 6" into the ground, a bit awkward with 12 big tubs, trying to see how i get around that.

Made some Scones using the new recipe, got in a bit of a sticky mess as though i would use the machine, not the best idea, had quite a job getting the sticky mix out of the machine, they seem rather nice, o/h had one pretty quick and i had half of the left over dough i had baked.

Didn't have Nacho for tea with having cheese on my omelette so found a lamb dinner in the freezer and had that.

Mollie, My next eye appointment is 21st Feb so hoping it has improved by then.

Used one of the new baking sheets, much better when it isn't trying to keep rolling up again, they won't let anything leak through which is good.

Yes, homemade is great whether it is scones or anything else, you can;t beat that,

The £6 is only for my box she will be paying for hers as well, not sure if it's more or not.

As you know, i keep a stock of everything in because i don't want to limit what meal i make next so like with all the house necessities i always have a spare ready so i don't run out.

There wasn't much on my shopping list as i get a lot from the farm shop, o/h only shops in Sainsburys as she likes the quality standards of the foods, she had so many tokens and necter points and discount at Christmas the whole shop only cost £4.

I like watching Brits abroad, a good program.

Baz, Hope you and Sammy had a good day, weather gone dry and cold again so stay in when possible.

The weekend now so you have some good TV to watch from tomorrow, love it.

Have a good evening both.

Afternoon Mollie and Hicky  Beautiful sunny day here ...if a bit chilly So I popped into town ...mailed  some stuff, and picked up a few bits and bobs . Apart from that I’ve done some housework and a load of washing . All my bulbs are coming up well ...so spring is definitely coming My daughter is popping over tomorrow , so I will be able to restock with M&S food ....and go to Pets at Home...before my spa hour   Hope you are both  having a good day too.

Mollie , hope the X-ray comes back clear this time .I miss Gogglebox too .....but I’m enjoying watching Susan Calman Secret Scotland and Monty Don American Gardens Hicky , hopefully you’re eye will be a lot better by the time of your next appointment Your wife is very lucky having such a good cook in the family .....I am now craving a scone I started watching the Cobra programme on Sky last night ....if the first episode is anything to go by it’s going to be a good series.

Anyway , have a good evening both ....it’s a history evenings viewing for me

Baz

that's good the weather was nice so you got out and about whilst it was dry and sunny.

Bulbs coming up already, how nice to have a reminder that spring is just around the corner.

Enjoy your time with your daughter tomorrow, good idea to stock up with M and S goodies again now.

Enjoy your history evening, its a singing evening for me with Masked Singer, then The Voice. Didn't see the Sky programme as we don't have Sky.Its good when you find something new to watch that you enjoy.

Hicky

hope you can find a solution to the hose problem.

Like Baz, every time you mention a scone, I fancy one.

Let's hope your eye has improved by the time you go back again as it is a few weeks yet.

It makes sense for your OH to shop in Sainsburys as she works there, especially as that Christmas shop was only £4!

We had such a pretty looking overight frost last night and sun all day. So even though it was cold (only up to about plus 5), it was nice to have a dry and bright change after all the rain we have had recently.

We went to costco to do a bit of food shopping. Enjoyed a few nice food samples and had my usual jacket potato for lunch.

Looking forward to watching the Masked Singer soon, then the Voice.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Evening Mollie & Baz.

Cool today with 8c sunny intervals and a moderate breeze.

Had Spaghetti on toast for brekkie, did a bit in the greenhouse, wrapping the support around the canes rather than the clips i had on, the problem with any clip that goes around vine canes is that if you forget the cane grows thicker each year and get get strangled, when it is around a cord support it is free to grow, and vines put a lot of diameter on in a year

Another neighbour died today, he had a growth on the brain and couldn't do anything for him, so sad, only 3 doors away, he only found out 2 weeks ago.

For tea decided on the Nacho's, but o/h had bought the new McCou's Muchos, cheese flavour, nice but ot for Nacho's as they are double skinned so are a puff really.

Mollie, To get around the watering hose problem, i am considering cutting 2 slots in the sides of the big tubs so the hose can cross from one to the other without goung over and down as the hose can kink and if it travelled through the side of the pots it could go straight, i want the hose to go across the left side of each tub then back down the other side so each tub has to passes of the hose.

atching the masked singer, they are so good, the judges are a waste of space, pointless.

Baz, Glad you had a sunny day, even if cold, it still brightens life, you got plenty done as well.

Amazing how certain bulbs know when to com up even if it is still winter, Spring doesn't start till March.

That will be handy when your daughter comes over so you can get to M&S etc to get some bits you need.

My O/H doesn't eat my food, i cook for myself, she cooks her own meals, we used to alternate who cooked sunday lunch but she is Diabetic now so maybe thats not good, she is a good cook but doesn't eat spaces or sauces, she likes my scones though.

Have a good evening Both.
