Afternoon Emptybox.

you shouldn't take any left over Anti-Biotics really, it is supposed to be taken in batches as prescribed.

You will have to go see doc again if problem persists.

When you fry food on the hob it splashes and spits an awful lot of fat all over the place.

I was thinking i could cover the whole hob, except for the on (.), +, and - touch part and maybe the part you had the pan on.

If you let it get in a mess you have to get all the grease off then start to get it all shining.

O/H wants me to get the Freelander cleaned up and try to sell it, i can keep the money for the garden.

We would both use hers until we find a small SUV that suits us both.

The Jump Final tonight.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Another sunny, frosty day here.

I've got about a fortnight's worth of antibiotics here, so enough for a course if I thought I had an infection.

But always best to see the doc if possible, as you say.

Maybe not feeling quite so bad today, but still not right. Didn't sleep well last night.

But I got the papers and went to the supermarket as usual, so not too bad.

Good idea to sell your Freelander and use your OH's car in the meantime.

What has she got? You never know, you may get to like it.

Your hob would look a bit daft covered in paper, I'd have thought? Unless you just put it on when you were going to be doing some messy frying.

Think it's the semi-final of the Jump tonight. The final is tomorrow.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

You are right, semi final tonight, strange having a final on Monday.

Chicken Roast dinner was good.

O/H has a Perodua Myvi Auto DVVT 2008

She got it new, it's been fantastic must admit.

http://www.perodua.com.my/ourcars/myvi/overview/intro

I rather fancy the Ford Kuga Zetec TDCI 4x4 Diesel auto

I did have a new Ford Focus at one time, it was a company car, it was too fast, it struggled to go under 100mph.

Just tried the hob covered with kitchen towel, you have to leave the touch controls uncovered or it turns the Hob off.

It cooked the carrots and steamed the cabbage fine.

It didn't mark the kitchen towel that was under the pan.

I have put a thin layer of fat in 2 frying pans, small/large that i want to set, then i can test the hob heating coils to find were they are under the surface.

I tested one of the small hob coils the other day, the settings of 9 selection of heat seems to relate to time, similar to the microwave were the setting determines the amount of time between the power being on and it being off.

On the microwave you can hear when the power is on, it's the same on the hob, on a #1 setting the power is on for say 2 seconds a minute, setting #2 maybe 3 seconds. and the under hob coil seemed to have a diameter of about 8cm but was only about 1 cm wide so it will be interesting to see what induction coils are on the large ones, the hob having 2 small and 2 large.

I might be able to get a big sheet of paper or some cloth material.

Hicky

just time for a quick hi from me before bed because I am shattered.

HOpefully mum starts her 5 days a week at day centre next week, so hope it goes well and gives me a bit of time to myself.

Emptybox

sorry you have been feeling unwell again, glad you improved a little today, but might be best to ask docs advice if you are still not right tomororw.

Hicky

hope you can find a car ok.

Do you read the autotrader website? My OH finds it quite good.

the vendors turned down our first offer, but don't think we are too far off what they want, so will try a bit higher offer tomorrow.

goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Thought you were under strain running around.

It should help a lot when your Mum starts her 5 days a week day centre.

Have looked at lots of sites but it's hard to find out if a car is suitable and meets our needs.

It has to be an automatic as O/H hasn't got a licence for a manual car.

But you can follow through the details of a car for 10 minutes and at the end you can't tell if it's 2 WD or 4x4.

Some models of cars don't do automatics, some may be 4x4 but don't say.

There are tons of suitable cars but sometimes they are too new and so too dear.

I like something like this.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/us...2080796673?logcode=p

Not too bothered about the make as they are all much the same, unlike years ago.

We prefer a 4x4 as they are higher and i don't really like a car that only drives on 2 wheels because as soon as 1 wheel spins the other stops turning, unless it has a special diff which is doubtful.

And rear wheel drive cars shouldn't be allowed on the road.

Hicky

Evening. Another lovely sunny day here with a frosty start.

Still feeling a bit rough, but perhaps improving a little. Got a reasonable night's sleep anyway.

That Ford Kuga looks good Hicky.

Hadn't heard of the Perodua Myvi before, although I had heard of the Perodua Nippa from a few years ago.

That's interesting about the way the induction hob works.

Looking forward to the Jump final tonight. Think Mike Tindall is the likely winner.

Hi Mollie.

Hope your higher offer is successful, if that house is suitable for you.

It would be easier being near your Mum anyway.

Are you still thinking of converting part of the house for her?

Hope you have a bit more time to yourself this week.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

Not bad here today, cool but dry.

Window fitter cam to raise the floor in the porch so it's the same hight as the hall, need a higher step now though.

Went and got a new battery fitted on the car, got a fresh loaf from Sainsbury's.

Got an offer of ÂĢ3,000 from the garage for my Freelander, and ÂĢ2,000 for O/H's.

O/H did an online check of the price for mine and it came back ÂĢ3,360.

Have got the hospital aids coming Thursday morning.

Going to get the Freelander Valet cleaned Wednesday.

Will watch the Jump tonight, 8pm i see.

Hicky

Good Afternoon Emptybox.

Very mild here today, 5.5C cloudy wind 2.5mph no rain.

Window cleaners came.

Man to do the garden didn't.

Car goes in tomorrow for a complete Valet ÂĢ80 at the American car wash.

My packs of Mr Trotters great British Pork Crackling has arrive, wow, so good, ordered 12 packs as we love it.

And i'm not disappointed either, just testing it.

When the car is cleaned i will go back to the garage and show them, i'll see if i can get a better offer, even if it's only a bit better.

Hicky

both

Hicky

what a nuisance it takes so long to search if a car is a 4 x 4 or not. The car you linked to looks nice.  My OH too likes a high up car as he has got used to our 7 seater. Hope you do get a bit better offer when your car is all valetted up. A bit like decorating your house to sell it I guess?

Enjoy your Mr Trotters.

have they given you any idea when they are going to offer you the op for your hip? Does the pain in your hip/knees still keep you awake?

Emptybox

hope you are ok health wise today and managed to get a decent nights sleep again. Who won the Jump, I haven't had chance to watch this series. I am watching Alex on bbc2 tonight helping businesses.

They accepted our lower offer on the house because it needs quite a bit of work and we don't have anywhere to sell. Now I have to hope all goes well with this one. Yes we are hoping to build an extension for mum, so we don't have to keep driving over to her place and it will save her ÂĢ480 in rent each month. So we need to price that up and check there are no known restrictions on extending.

Mum has done 2 days at day centre so far this week and seems ok when she gets home off the bus. It is real hard work for OH to lift her into the car now though, and the carers find it hard getting up and putting her to bed. They have been starting earlier in the mornings (7.50 instead of 8am) because they worry about rushing her. Poor things, more unpaid work for them, and they are already on minimum wage. I have found they put the clients needs first at all times, it has been a real eye opener for me to see how good the home carers are. Mum really likes them . (and I do too).

Son at rehearsals for Jeckyll and Hyde again. He was there all day Sunday too. It is a nice interest for him to have as he is so quiet.

dog is snoring in the chair next to me.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Hi guys.

Not so frosty this morning, but another lovely sunny day.

Not feeling bad today. Not 100% but my stomach is settled anyway.

Great news that your offer has been accepted Mollie.

Hope no planning complications arise, and it all goes through.

Sounds like you've got a great bunch of carers for your Mum.

Just a pity things are getting harder with her.

Do you still have the time to watch Judge Rinder?

Tomorrow might be a good time to miss it, because your friend and mine Aisleyne is going to be on it.

Don't know what the case is about.

Hi Hicky.

Hope the valeting of the car turns out to be worth it with the valuation.

Would have thought the garage could do their own valeting cheaper though, but it's worth a shot.

It's years since I had any pork crackling (or scratchings?). Used to like it though. Actually, I had pork with crackling on it when I was at my Uncle's last, so only a couple of years ago.

emptybox

Good Afternoon Both.

I'm full of cold, sitting here shivering, have put the heating up again.

Took my car in for 9am, not ready yet.

Fence man arrived, he is tilling the garden with the Rotavator and raking it.

He brought a section of fence for us to look at, it will do the bottom area, we are having a concrete base put in as well.

I rang the gardener so he came as well.

No Mollie, you just wait in a queue, i have to wait for the letter then wait for the date thats in it.

I think i am too unwell to go into hospital at the mo anyway.

I didn't really sleep last night, was coughing a lot.

Glad they accepted your offer, that is good, hope you will be able to build onto it.

As you say, it's nice for your son to have this interest, it will take a lot of his spare time up.

Emptybox, didn't have to clear my windscreen either today, very chilly though, i'm off my food again, not good.

That ÂĢ80 does seem a lot to pay for a valet, O/H is paying.

I have been carrying loads of rubbish though, the inside is covered in mud and sand, cleaned some out the other day so it wouldn't be too bad.

Fence man and gardener have tilled and levelled the bottom half of the garden, it needs about 3 tonne of soil to raise the 1st half of the garden, then it's a matter of doing the fencing.

These Pork Scratching are lovely.

Waiting for them to ring about my car.

I must admit, i enjoyed Judge Rinder with Aisleyne, and she won her case.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling too good.

Hope you can shake off the cold quickly.

Not good if you can't get a good night's sleep.

Not feeling so hot again myself today.

That's good that you've got the gardener and fencer both on the go.

Hope the garage make a good job on your car.

It was a bit dull here today, but there must have been a bit of frost as there's a small puddle in the middle of my yard that stayed frozen over. No other sign of frost or snow now.

Yes, Judge Rinder was good. I've never watched it before.

Think even Judge Rinder was impressed by Aisleyne.

I think the programme pays the awarded money anyway, so nobody loses out. That's probably why the defendants agree to do it.

It was nice to see Michael again after all these years. He was a great friend to Ash inside the house, and after they came out. Pity they fell out.

Good Evening Emptybox.

A rather cloudy day here, had a little rain early on but the day was fine.

My help equipment came okO/H says she hopes it doesn't have to stay here long.

Took my car to show the garage to see how much they will offer me.

One of the decision makers wasn't available.

He'll ring in the morning.

Have been slightly better today, but just going to bed now, can't stay up any longer, it's going to be a long night.

Last night i must have got up ever 2 hours.

The boss rang to see how i was, his daughter was chatting on texts the other day.

They want me to let them know what is going on and when am i going in for the op.

On Judge Rinder, i was wondering who was goin g to pay the money back.

Hope Mollie is ok.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Another nice day here. That puddle is still ice though, so not very warm. Duller in the afternoon.

There's rain forecast for tomorrow I think.

Glad the equipment came. Hopefully it'll help you before and after the op.

That's nice that your previous bosses are still concerned for your welfare.

Hope you get good news regarding your car valuation.

Great that you're feeling a little better. Hope you manage more sleep tonight.

I had a good day today, and am feeling more or less fine tonight. But I can't tell from one day to the next how I'm going to feel, as it comes and goes.

I expect Mollie will be even busier now that the offer has been accepted on the house.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

Had a little rain, plenty of cloud.

Put my details into We buy any car dot com, got a reasonable price, considering it's just a sell deal.

Other garage offered less as it is a bad time, they said. to sell 4x4 vehicles.

Go to see them at 11am in the morning, it's only a few miles away.

So i'll have to wait and see, i only got 1 key and Fob with the car so that could penalise me.

I need the money to put towards my garden costs.

I've found a nice cheap Summerhouse and a Hex Gazebo, ÂĢ1,500 for them.

I've got till next Wednesday to order them as the prices change on the 18th of the month.

I've found some 2.4m x 200 x 50m old sleeps for ÂĢ10 each, i need 26 though.

I had a wagon come round the houses this afternoon selling Compost, Manure and top soil for ÂĢ3.99 a bag, i need 2,500 litres or 2.5 sq metres for the raised beds but it's too soon for me to buy it.

I got some sleep last night but remembered about something so went on the computer for a bit.

I've ordered some cotton sheet, big enough to cut to cover the Hob, i am going to try cutting a cardboard templet and mark the 4 rings and the 8 small touch screen controls so this can be marked onto the cotton, this way i can cover the whole hob and get no grease on it but still see where to put the pans.

I tried it this morning with a cotton plain hanky and it was fine, it doesn't see the cotton at all.

I've only had some beef and onion sandwiches, with ham and onion ones thrown in with mustard on, didn't fancy any cooked food.

A feller came round selling fish yesterday but O/H is so fussy she wouldn't buy from the door.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Dry here but dull and milder than previously.

Glad you got a bit of sleep, but hope you feel back to normal soon.

Pity you didn't fancy hot food today.

Hope Webuyanycar.com stick to the price they quoted, but from what I've heard, they always find some excuse to knock money off when they actually see the car.

Looks like it's going to be expensive to get the garden as you want it.

You're still insisting on covering your hob up I see?

Not much on TV tonight. I watched Jimmy and Jamie then turned over for Benidorm.

Evening Both.

Sold the car, as you say Emptybox, they knock the price down, they do every test and inspection known to man.

They found many minor marks on the car, only noticeable with a magnifying glass, but as it was a 4x4 they allowed 40% of the damage cost back onto the value.

I had also made a mistake with the mileage, i put 66 thousand by mistake and it should have been 76.

I accepted his offer for a quick settlement as i want to order stuff for the garden, i've paid out ÂĢ2,000 getting the back cleared and levelled.

I've order the Summerhouse and Gazebo to be delivered later.

Had a walk around the garden, it's bigger than i though, not measurement wise, just in actual size.

It's going to be strange without the Land Rover.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Dry and quite mild here today.

Hope you are feeling a bit better now.

Pleased you got an acceptable price for your car, even though they knocked a bit off.

It'll let you get on with the garden anyway.

Also gives you an incentive to get on and find that new small 4x4.

Bet you can't wait for the summer house and gazebo to arrive.

Is that a new gazebo, or the one from your old house that you spent ages building?

Hope Mollie isn't too harassed.

Evening Emptybox.

I left the last gazebo for the new Neighbours, didn't have the time or heart to break it down to move it, didn't have the room to store it either.

This is a new one, it has open sides but i may be able to get new sheets of Polycarbonate to fit in the sides like i did on the other one.

If the Fence man comes Tuesday as planned it will be great, i can get on with the planned work.

I need to get the drain pea stone down and the new weed matting down and pegged then i can mark out the plan of the garden layout to see how it fits.

Enjoyed the voice, had to watch it on the Puter as i was recording 2 programs on the TV.

Just made a Carafe of Soda and Lime with ice, this ice maker is a cracker.

Evening Both.

Not a bad day here, 8.8C and dry.

My lad came and finished the floor in the Porch, fitted a day/night blind over the kitchen window as the sun blinds us when we are in the utility room.

Got to get some flags to make a new step up to the front door and the entrance is 3 bricks high, we have an old step which makes it easier to get in.

The 3 of us went out for brekkie first thing though.

O/H suggested i get another summer house, a bigger one so i can have a table and a kettle and some chairs and enjoy the sun.

think i have found just the job.

This one: http://summergardenbuildings.c...-house-10108221.html

It's the model 221, with a small verandah.

It seems strange with no Land Rover in front of the house.

Went out for tea, yummy.

Hope your ok Mollie, hows the house, any advance?

Hicky

Hi Hicky.

Dry and mild here too, although more like 5 or 6 degrees rather than your heady high.

Glad you enjoyed your brekkie out with your lad, and you got some work done as well.

That looks like a good summer house. One of my clients has an almost identical one, and they've even got a TV in it.

Watching Indian Summers and recording a couple of other things.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

Thats a good idea about the TV in the summer house, i'm going to get power & lighting installed anyway, it's allowed for in the Garage power distribution box.

And the aerials and dishes face right down my garden as i have an unblemished view direct to the transmitters.

I've switched on to Indian Summers for now, give it a try.

My O/H wants the dividing fence doing now, it's another 8 panels onto the other 14 we need, so expensive.

It will look nice though.

She has also seen the type of wall she prefers for the 3 front walls, it's a type of rough darkish granite type finish, probably fake granite blocks.

We are changing the insurance over to Hastings direct, i'll cancel mine and when hers runs out we will both be comprehensive on thje new one, even with both of us it's half of what she paid for herself last year.

I'll have to pay a penalty for cancelling but can't be helped.

Hicky

both

sorry for such a long absence, I hadn't forgotten you both.

I have had an AWFUL few days...mum was sick Thursday in son's car going home, and again Friday.  Then in the early hours of Sat morning me and daughter woke with constant sickness and runs. Terrible, lasted all day. 2 hours later other son got it, then 2 hours later OH got it.
Other son stayed hidden in his computer room, so I hope he has escaped it.

So I have had to stay in bed for the last 2 days, not seen any tv at all. Perked up today enough to eat a couple of white bread rolls and some tomato soup though. Good job because I have to look after mum tomorrow pm and OH is going back at work. (he had to take the day off sick today.)

Mum ok now and back at day centre, I have had a tough time sorting care,it is only a small care agency and they have 4 off sick, But thanks to one of the wonderful carers who did loads of overtime, I narrowly escaped placing mum into hospital all over the weekend and today.

Poor son missed 2 days rehearsals though, hope he doesn't lose his part in the play now.

This virus was so catching and so bad, I think it was that noro virus as I think it is doing the rounds here.

Hicky

sorry you were unwell with a nasty cold, hope you are ok now.

Well done selling your car. At least you are going to enjoy spending the money you have got for it on your garden now. Your summer house looks lovely. It should enable you to enjoy the garden for an extended summer time.

Emptybox

hope you are feeling well today. Did you enjoy Indian Summer? What was it about? Are you doing any gardening jobs, I guess the weather is not up to it this time of year though.

I am glad to be well enough to watch tv again, hope I get my appetite back soon though, as have ate virtually nothing for 3 days and it gets tiring. I did enjoy my portion of tomato soup though.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening Mollie.

Sorry to hear you have all been unwell, dreadful. a nightmare.

strange having no car after over 60 years.

I've ordered a big summerhouse now as well, 3m x 3m with porch.

http://www.gardenbuildingsdire...00-Lucia-Range/17934 ÂĢÂĢ731,93

Been to Costco today, got 2 big packs of Cadbury Chocolate drink tabs.

got one of the new advertised cordless vacuum cleaners and a big rubbish bin the is battery driven and will open via a sensor and closes on it's own.

Got some Ribeye steaks, Brisket, belly pork, lamb shoulder fillets.

Hope you can get some rest Mollie, no wonder you are worn out.

Hicky

Hi guys.

Not bad weather here, but it's gone a bit colder again. Back to frost this morning.

Oh Mollie. How awful your whole family being ill at once.

I suppose you were able to look after each other though.

Hope you continue to get better and get back on your food. And hope you feel well enough to look after your Mum today.

Not good when the carers are off sick as well.

Indian Summer is a series about the last days of the Raj, starring Julie Walters. It was OK. Very lush scenery (think it was actually filmed in Malaysia).

Hi Hicky.

Is that three summer houses you've ordered now, or did you cancel the other ones? You'll have no room for anything else.

I'm sure the fence will make the garden look great, even though it's expensive.

Good news on getting a cheaper car insurance deal.

I fancy getting a cordless vacuum cleaner. I can't stand dealing with the electric flex. All I need is my current one to blow up, so I can justify buying a new one.

A self opening waste bin? How does it know when to open and shut?

emptybox

both

feeling a bit better today, so getting on with the mountain of washing. Still really not fancying any food though, but did manage to eat a small toasted white muffin.

Meant to say that I am a huge Judge Rinder fan, watched it from the start, and record it now I don't get chance to watch each day. I enjoyed the Aish episode. The judge was just so funny some of the stuff he said to her. I must admit that I was surprised such a tough ghetto queen was going around lending money willy nilly. But it didn't look to me like her and Michael had had much of a fall out about it, but at least it did get them back on tv, and entertained us too.   I wonder how she squeezed that bust into that top! I don't suppose you 2 even noticed that though did you?

The judge is so witty, can be so sarky but also quite sweet when he advises people (especially families), to move on after fall outs concerning money.

Emptybox

frost here too this morning, but been a nice sunny day so far. If Indian Summer is set in Malaysia, wonder if any of the scenery is familiar to Hicky?

Did you go to Malaysia as well as Singapore Hicky?

I have a cordless vacuum and love it. So light to push around.

Hope you are pleased with yours Hicky.

That sounds a high tech rubbish bin.

We too are in need of getting more drink tabs, they are so lovely we get through a lot of them. Much cheaper in Costco than local supermarkets, aren't they?

What a lovely looking summerhouse. I liked looking at the photos of what people had done to theirs.

I see someone in the photos insulated, plaster boarded, and wallpapered theirs, and someone else even put their lap top in it. Have you decided yet what to put in yours?

Gosh, you had a car for 60years! No wonder it feels strange. Can you remember what your first car was?

Just waiting for mum to get back from day centre on the bus, then I can't take my eyes off her in case she falls. Then son or OH will help me take her home where a carer will then help us put her to bed.

Going to see solicitor on Monday about the house. Couldn't face it this week, not being able to eat makes me tired.

have a good day both xxx

M

Evening Both.

Operation on Hip scheduled for 25/26 March,

Fence man delivered the 1st set of concrete fence bases and posts, he carried them in as if they were made of wood.

I've scanned a couple of pictures, it's the garden decking, the other the garden planting are showing the Gazebo and summer houses.

Emptybox, I have ordered 1 x 7 x 5ft summerhouse, 1 x 10ft x 10ft summerhouse, and 1 10ft x 10ft Gazebo.

This new cleaner is fantastic, it's this one.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gtech-...ywords=sweeper+gtech

The rubbish bin is battery controlled with 8 x AA ones.

It has sensors so when you go to put something in it opens, when you have finished it just closes.

It has 5 LEDs that show you what is going on, it also has an open or close button.

Mollie, yes, i went to Malaysia, had a holiday up in Penang, i was involved in the communications for the Singapore Jahor Bahru Grand Prix while i was there.

Not too sure what my first car was, my first 2 were a Jaguar mark 1 and a Ford Zodiac mk 1.

Just had a lovely Ribeye steak that we got from Costco, just had a baked spud with onion and mushrooms.

any questions about the drawing?

Hi Mollie.

Glad you are feeling a bit better.

Yes I'm not surprised the house buy was put on the back burner while you were ill. Is your offer conditional on your alterations to the house being approved?

No I didn't notice any busts in the Judge Rinder prog.

It's definitely genuine that she and Michael lost touch for a while, but whether it was over this loan is anybody's guess. It was filmed last November, and I haven't noticed any social media contact between them since, but they might have reconciled in private.

Hi Hicky.

Glad the fencing work is under way.

Don't really have any questions about the diagrams, except to note that the gazebo seems to be in a slightly different place in the second pic (slightly closer to the back of the garage).

So it's just two summer houses. I thought three might be overdoing it.

They seem to fit in well in your plan anyway.

A mark 1 Jag? That's some car to have as your first.

The first car I bought was a mark 1 Fiesta, but I first learned to drive in an old Austin A40 that had belonged to my Mum.

emptybox

Hi Emptybox.

On the decking layout the Gazebo was copied and pasted from the plant drawing, the garage on that one doesn't seem to have been redrawn when i redraw the plant drawing garage.

I had Motorcycles before i went in the Army, but only had cars after i came out.

I decided then that i would never go on 2 wheels on the road again.

That was 1962.

Hicky

Evening Both.

Not too bad a day, 9C here today, had a drop of rain, wasn't forecast though.

Fence man started digging holes for the concrete posts.

He had quite a job as a lot of concrete around from old posts, he had to smash through it.

He also sawed the last tree down, it was about 1 ft across, he just climbed the tree branch by branch with his chain saw, at one time he was about 20 ft in the air.

Have ordered the wood for the raised beds, have found some guttering kits you can fix onto sheds etc.

This: http://www.gardenbuildingsdire...2023#product-options

I've been looking at some cheaper joists, the fence man told me about a company he deals with in Liverpool, might go see.

Here: http://www.diyclick2buy.com/de...-4x2-treated-framing

Only ÂĢ1.47 a mtr.

Morning All.

Warm and wet here, 9.5C but 5mm of rain.

Fence man came, all in waterproofs, good job.

Just made him a cup of tea.

Waiting for the car money to hit the account, a con trick, 4 working days.

Was going to get the gardener to help cut the tree up but weather too bad, the place will turn to a mud bath again.

I may have to get him tomorrow to put some weed membrane down so i can stand the sheds on it when they arrive next week.

Just realised i'm going to a different hospital for the op, not the one in went to for the pre-op schooling.

what a fantastic garden plan that is. It must of taken you a lot of time to work all that out. Glad you are pleased with the fence mans work. Looking forward to seeing the "after" pictures. Yes indeed, another damn fiddle of the banks sitting on your money for nearly a blooming week whilst they use it elsewhere. Let's hope for better weather tomorrow, so you can get on with things. Very wet here today too.

Hope the other hospital you have to go to for the op is not too far away? How long do they expect you to have to stay in?

My dad used to have an old Austen A40 car. I hear these old classic cars are are good investment now and making a good profit.

Do you use Sainsburys when you go into town now?

Still not feeling 100% yet, but I feel I can eat a bit more now, so getting there.

How are you feeling now Emptybox?

Seems to be brightening up a bit here now, good haven't taken doggie a walk yet.

Have a good day both xxx

Good Afternoon Mollie.

Glad you are feeling a little better anyway.

The rain keeps stopping and starting, the fence man just carries on regardless.

Still waiting for the money.

The Arrow Park Hospital is probably nearer but i wanted the other one. They say i may be in for a couple of days.

Enjoy your Doggie walk.

I've stopped the coughing anyway.

Just made a Brisket Dinner but it's ready a bit early, oops.

Money in at last.

Brisket was Fab, so tender, do mini roasties with it, bathed in Beef dripping.

The meat sitting in onions and carrots and making that juice into the onion gravy.

Evening.

Mostly nice here today, just a small shower of rain.

Only just over a month till your op Hicky.

Should think you'll be in longer than a couple of days, for a hip op?

Sure my Dad was in for 4 or 5 days getting his knee done? Might be wrong.

Pity they've moved it to a different hospital.

Your fence man is good, getting on with the work in the rain.

Is that Webuyanycar holding on to your money? That's not good.

Hi Mollie. Glad you're feeling a bit better. Must be progress if you are taking doggie for a walk and eating a bit better.

I'm fine at the moment. This thing comes and goes though.

Hopefully I'll still be fine at the weekend when my family visit.

Yes I usually shop in Sainsburys, but I occasionally go into Lidl.

Don't think that Austin A40 that I had would still be worth anything now; it was held together with filler at the time.

If I'd have passed my test at 17 I'd have been given the car, but I failed 3 times at 17 and 18 and didn't finally pass till I was 26, at the 4th attempt.

As it turned out my Brother passed first time and used the A40 for a while, before scrapping it and getting an Escort.

Hi Emptybox.

Yep, Hip Hip.

You could be right, how long i am in depends on how things go i assume, healing wise and moveability.

fence man did well today, the garden is in a mess again, he was digging down in solid clay.

I don't know who was keeping the money, it could have been the bank, but i could have got paid quicker if i lost ÂĢ24.

I passed the test on my motorbike in 1954 at 16 first time, failed the car test first time as i was overtaking a bus that was parked in front of the traffic lights, i was going to go straight through the lights but i couldn't get back left as the bus driver pulled away to the lights, the car in front of me was turning right so i was trapped in the wrong lane so he failed me.

Just ordered a water butt adapter and a new gutter system for the garage so i can connect my water butt i brought with me.

Hi Hicky.

Another nice day here.

I've ordered some more heating oil as the price has begun to go up again unfortunately. Still cheaper than last time though.

Hopefully this will last me through the summer.

Haven't had much to do with motorbikes, which is strange as my Dad was mad keen on them, and rode one up till a few months before he died.

Probably only been on one three times in my life, and never on the road.

I think lack of confidence was the reason I failed 3 driving tests when I was young, because when i took it up again in my mid twenties I had no problems passing.

You'll have to give up driving for a few months after your op, I would expect.

Watched the Million Pound Drop then Gogglebox.

Morning Everyone.

Chilly here today but many hours of sun expected, very windy.

Best stock up with oil while it's cheap.

I had motorbikes long before i was old enough to drive on the roads, i lived by a mile of fields etc so could ride to my hearts content.

I will be laid up from driving, O/H will drive me around.

Bottom of garden fence almost finished, 6 new panels from the garage on the left, 7 panels along the back and 3 panels up to the existing fence on the right.

O/H wants the next 8 panels ding now.

Just going out to for brekkie now.

hope you are managing well with the visitors, hope the pre-visit housework didn't exhaust you too much. Wonder what you are cooking them for tea?

Let's hope your illness now has a lot more "up's" than "down's" now.

Yes best to get that oil in, if the price is starting to go upwards again. I like Lidl food, especially good for the price too.

at your Austin A40 being held together with filler.

Hicky

shame you are having to go to another hospital. Hopefully you won't be kept in for long though, they do tend to get people in and out a lot quicker than they used to.

That is good the garden fence is nearly done. Did you say it is a school field at the bottom of the garden?

Where did you go for brekkie?

My brother used to have a motorbike, that was until he came off it and ended up in intensive care, he never had another one after that.

One week after being ill and me and son are still eating the bear minimum plain food, but never mind, am getting there now, and mum seems fine. Unlike skinny son, I have enough fat to keep me going though.
Son and I were well enough to go and see his drama club production, Thursday and Friday night, so at least he got to see and chat to his mates. The tutor told him they were devastated he couldn't make it. So sad to see his name against the part he should of played listed on the programme, then someone else had to stand in for him. It would of been a good part, with a great black/gold costume, and in the final scene when the main character gets killed.

Last night they had a special guest to see the play, and I nabbed him, so son could take my photo with him, he was just finishing his bag of Quavers when I grabbed him.

Go to secret place if you want to see if you recognise him? (not a good photo of me, but it was only a quick snap in the interval).

Have a good evening both xx

watching the Voice and then Ant and Dec on plus 1.
