Not to bad by day but I went out to recycle bin not long ago and it’s freezing now 
We are set to hit -3 overnight.

how are we all? I hope you’ve got hot water bottles handy! I took my Christmas decorations down yesterday and had a good Hoover up too. It’s a big job isn’t it!

@El Loro posted 27/12/20Moonie, normally my recycling box gets emptied once a week on Monday. Last Monday, they ignored it (it was still dark so they might not have seen it). The collection tomorrow has been moved to Tuesday and only the wheelie (for the stuff which can't be recycled) and the food caddy will get enptied. So it won't be until the following Monday that my recycling box will be emptied, It doesn't matter much as it's always nearly empty. (paper goes in a separate sack, so the only items are plastic and tins/aluminium foil, or alternatively glass bottles/jars - same box used but here we can't mix plastic/metal with glass in the same box).
So I put my recycling box out first thing this morning. Normally they would have emptied it 2 to 3 hours ago. No sign that they are coming. No-one else's has been emptied either.

We had the same with our recycling bin last week El. Normally Tuesday. They did come until Wednesday.

That may be the same here. Since I posted, they've done the road at the end of my road. Their normal route means that mine would get emptied 2 to 3 hours later so it might happen in the next hour. Depends when thier working day ends of course.

*night owls* I’ve been asleep on the sofa this afternoon so I’m more awake now. I was in the dentists chair for 2 hours today, getting more root canal work done. It felt like 20 mins though, I absolutely love my new dentist! She’s gentle, kind and very thorough.
El I hope your bin gets emptied ok, it’s probably the post Christmas catch up’s slowing them down.
Moonie, you are very welcome 🐾 Brammie must have just known to pose like a perfect pooch for you
Tonight’s announcement hasn’t surprised me at all, I’m just going with the flow. I’m so glad I closed my business sooner rather than later, I feel a hundred times less stressed than I did before.

Two visits from the gritters today. I went out to the bins earlier and it wasn’t as cold as it was earlier today

Still cold here but no frost. Looks as if it will start getting a bit warmer from Sunday in this part of he country
Summer, at least you are less stressed than you were Accountants in public practice aren't required to close down - considering that they have been supporting businesses throughout the pandemic their role is crucial. They should work from home where possible and I do anyway.

Thanks Moonie, like EL they came first thing and its a great relief to have it emptied, it was more than overfull, not so much cardboard but it's amazing how cans and bottles of all kinds both glass and plastic add up over a week, mind you with a great bag for cardboard sitting in the middle there's not an awful lot of room left over to store the cans and bottles.
