The Manchester derby on Saturday was decribed in the BBC report as "a dismal stalemate" and "devoid of quality and excitement" with the player of the match getting a rating of 5.38. Even though your side lost they had 3 players with better ratings.

agree wholeheartedly with that   EL As a Manc I am a MU supporter - we go back in our family  as supporters a long time but have to agree -(BTW hate man city with a vengeance lol) - Manchester united need a new manager IMO - love Ore as a person but we need someone with more experience and for the Glaziers and wood ward to go

Good morning everyone

A wet morning here.

Moonie, I thought your team might get a point yesterday and they did
Just have a look at BBC's ratings for each player for both sides - Man City 3.59 to 4.69, your side 7.24 to 9.20 so about double that of City.

Ros, the problem for Man U is that the CEO is an accountant and investment banker.

I hope everyone has a good day

I was quite surprised to be honest El. A point from a game against a team like Man City is great

We rated well

Evening all

Another dreich day with heavy rain in the afternoon.

Thanks everyone, I got 6 hours sleep last night. Unfortunately, it was between 8.30pm and 2.30am🙈

Mr Y was also awake during the night because he had toothache. Fortunately he had an appointment with the dentist today so got it sorted.

Have a good evening, goodnight and sweet dreams

Hi Yogi

After the rain this morning/early afternoon it brightened up then went as dark as night before night

Whoops, still you’re getting some sleep even if it was at the wrong time

I’m pleased My Y was able to get his toothache sorted

You have a good evening too

Weather has been wet and miserable so I stayed indoors.
Good for that postie, adding a bit of cheer while raising some money.

Dud anyone see the 80year old postie on BBC Breakfast the other day? He’s the oldest working postie and seemed such a nice chap.

I hope you’ve all had a good day

Hi Yogi

Indoors is the best place to be

I can’t say I did...

I hope you slept better last night

My day has been good, I hope yours has too

I’m glad you had a good day. What are you watching tonight.

That’s better than no sleep at all

I had my flu jab yesterday around midday. My arm hurt all day and night. Every time I turned in the night it woke me up ðŸ˜Ą

Thank goodness it almost back to normal now

I have German football on the telly, so sound and Sheffield United v Manchester United on the radio. Texting with my mate who is a Sheffield United fan

Good morning everyone

Rained overnight here, dry at present, lots more more to come for the rest of today and tonight, some of the rain likely to be very heavy. No weather warning but there is for areas to the west of here.

Moonie, I hope the pain in your arm had lessened so that you got a better night's sleep

I hope everyone has a good day

The other night I happened to come across on the red button on my television a programme by Radio 1 of songs which had been used in films associated with Christmas. Extremely variable, some watchable, some not. It included Bill Nighy in "Christmas is all around" taken from "Love Actually" - never seen that film, but I found that Bill Nighy song revoltingly sleazy.

The most memorable song was Pentatonix's version of the old carol "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen". Apparently it was used in the 2018 version of "The Grinch" Pentatonix is an American a cappela group. Here's their officia video:

The man in the middle is Mitch Grassi whose voice is a tenor and at times close to what is called a counter tenor - that's the highest natural male voice rather than a falsetto.
