Good morning everyone

Its cold, wet and breezy here. Set, like El, to be the same throughout the day

Just a little washing then that’s me

El, you got a point, whereas the Baggies was doing well at 1-1 until the 82 minute when Newcastle scored

Yogi, I too hope you slept better last night

Have a pleasant day everyone

Watched a 1959 Western film called "Ride Lonesome" which starred Randolph Scott yesterday as the Radio Times had given it a high rating. It's a cult film which does have its fans but I didn't think much of it. At least it was only 73 minutes long. Strange ending. Not unusual for westerns to end with the lead riding off alone into the distance but in this film, he's just standing alone watching a dead tree which he has set alight. Sometimes one wonders what happened to a character after the film ends. With this one there's no sign of any future. He's probably still standing there even after all these years.

On a trivia point, it was the film debut of James Coburn.

Hi Yogi

That’s very true

I was on the phone for three hours talking to a lovely friend. Hence the late reply

I hope you manage to sleep until at least 6 am tomorrow

Good morning everyone

A sunny cold start to the day here. Quite breezy too

The weather forecast says ‘sunny changing to partly cloudy by the afternoon’

El, the phone calls to my friend are shorter than they use to be

squiggle, I hope you don’t get washed away

Yogi, I hope you managed a ‘decent’ sleep last night

Have a great day everyone

Moonie

Moonie, I've been making phone calls each Saturday to my brother which last an hour as I get the first hour free at weekends
I could get a slightly more expensive phone package with free calls but I don't for tax reasons. The majority of my business calls are during the weekdays during the daytime so the package with free weekend and evening calls isn't relevant for me. With tax, I can claim the business use of phone based on the value of business calls to private ones. With a free calls package, that becomes trickier to quantify business use.

Thanks El. I think they are going to need more than luck. Like Man City not turning up or playing without a keeper

The Manchester derby on Saturday was decribed in the BBC report as "a dismal stalemate" and "devoid of quality and excitement" with the player of the match getting a rating of 5.38. Even though your side lost they had 3 players with better ratings.
