Have only been listening for about a year now...still way away from recognizing voices or indeed remembering names.....but am fixed!

Traditionally we listen to the omnibus edition on Sunday morning followed by DID.One of our favourite soaps.
DID was less than delightful today.
I drift in and out of Radio 4. Mainly catch it when I am driving in the car. I catch a few of the comedy programmes. I like Just a Minute and some of the daytime programming.

I listen to quite a lot of Radio 4, during the day and with meals.
I switch off when the Archers comes on, not physically, but mentally. I just mentally tune out. It is to drama what Dido is to music. If you asked me what had just happened in the last two minutes of the Archers, I wouldn't be able to tell you.
I sometimes catch Desert Island discs but can take or leave it.
Sometimes the afternoon drama is ok, but it can be a bit middle class.
The Life Scientific is worth a listen if you like to hear what make various scientists tick.
Front Row is just so London-centric and a bit too arty farty for my tastes
I like "just a minute" but not too keen on "Rudy's Rare records". "The News Quiz" is ok but I prefer "The Now Show" is good. Steven K Amos is mostly unfunny. Count Arthur Strong's Radio Show is like something from the 1960s but often makes me laugh a lot.
I like the Jazzer and Jim storyline though , and do you think Lilian will get together with that Paul guy again ?Ha!

Yes, Lilian nearly had a bit of a fling with Paul when Matt was in prison , and Jazzer is the Scots lad who is living at Jim's Jazzer...gruff...not so young ?

I grew up listening to the Archers omnibus every Sunday. Then I lost touch with it, but got back into it about 10 years ago and now I never miss an episode. I always listen to it on iPlayer, and I like to be a few episodes behind. For some reason, I just like the feeling of always having some to look forward to. I even manage to keep up with it when I'm in Japan. It's sort of a little anchor linking me to home.
I remember when Matt was even more unbearable than he is now.
Thinking about the characters I love to hate: Shularghhhhhhhhh, Will and Nic 
, Kenton, oh and not forgetting Brenda. I used to love Hayley, but then they changed the person playing her to someone who can't act. I'm not keen on the east European woman either (forgotten her name) because she seems to spend most of her time whining.
I'm a bit worried because the actress who plays Clarrie is about to be replaced. She's one of my favourite characters, so I hope they get the casting right.

Mind you, that James one sounded like the sort that only a Mother could love.Matt's a bit of a pantomime villain. I can cope with him, because he so rarely wins in the end.
Kenton, on the other hand, makes me want to smash the radio. He's the most selfish, self-centred character - even worse than his bloody sisters!
If we are talking about people who make you want to kick the electric wireless across the room.....Step forward Pip Archer. (and Jamie and James)

I have posted on the FB page from time to time Amythist... but not the BBC one. I catch Ambridge Extra every now and then.... and laughed at the Bob Pullen storyline
No mention of the snow in the Archers! You'd have thought snow would be the top of conversation for farming folk!

As for Matt , I have zero sympathy for him And I am suspicious that maybe he already knows , or is at least suspicious, about about the affair , hence his sudden epiphany ! Oh , and I think it was Peggy that was a bit tongue tied when she bumped into Vicky Boring to the core GJ...but poignant all the same...
