So effectively he's saying we SHOULD all be tested!

Just did my first drop off last night.(I called myself the plague fairy as I deposited the bags on the doorstep and fled) I am a self employed chef and have been doing regular pop ups ,its my livelihood and all the premises I work from have closed down . The owner of one of the places I pop up in rang to ask me to make stuff for their family because they were isolating.....her son has the virus. I would like to make more food for my customers some of whom are vulnerable ( and deliver free to them) but I cant get the ingredients as the suppliers are rationing because all these nutters are stockpiling. Same online ...

If they aren't testing you can times that by many more...they gave up testing after a couple of days here in Wales . it's in both our local schools so its probably quite widespread  They say we have 33 cases locally but more likely 300 .All we can do is try and keep each other safe.

The morons having cleaned out most of the other aisles have discovered fruit and veg now...none at all in any shop down here today

oh , I needed some washing up liquid, there were 3 bottles on the shelf and I overheard this bloke tell his wife there wasn't any so I told him there were two bottles left....greedy buggas took both of them😡

The EU offered the UK to be included in this like any other member...why the f*** did our government refuse it

Spoke with 🇨🇳PM Li Keqiang who announced that China will provide 2 mil surgical masks, 200,000 N95 masks & 50,000 testing kits. In January, the 🇪🇺helped 🇨🇳by donating 50 tonnes of equipment. Today, we're grateful for China's support. We need each other's support in times of need.

Because it would put their rabid Europe hating core vote's back up.

Boris is a soundbite popularist politician who can't step up in a true hour of need because he just hasn't got it in him.  He can study Churchill as much as he likes and try to ape Churchill's mannerisms but he just doesn't have it in his soul.

Bozo's idiots were the only government entertaining "herd immunity".  Presumably to protect business as the Tories always put private profit before public welfare.  The science didn't "change".  From the outset, every country and every global body said it was nonsense and warned herd immunity would lead to over 220,000 deaths.  Herd immunity is based on having critical number of vacinated population as well as those with immunity.  It's elementary!  Bozo doesn't 'get' the basics!

The only way Boris can be dragged from ideological stupidity is when his position becomes just untenable.  He hasn't 'followed the science' he's conceded only when to do anything else would be obvious to all - negligent.

The local Sainsbury's superstore was almost empty, I expected a few bare aisles but had no idea it would be as bad as it was.  I don't often shop in Sainsbury's as it's quite a drive but thought I'd check it out this evening.  It was like a scene from a post-apocalypse film when the zombies have taken over.  Quite surreal.

Just  been chatting with a friend who works for the NHS

She said she believes the "vast majority" of us will get the virus and the "vast majority" will survive,

That has terrified me more than anything so far

Right - i'm not going out for as long as it takes

I'm in a vulnerable group, I'm no spring chicken as my music choices prove and have diabetes and COPD.  I feel relatively healthy despite that and very rarely come down with colds and coughs.  I haven't had a day off work in 9 years through illness, but all the same!

We often get a 'big shop' every month or two. Fortunately (for us) our last 'big shop' was just before all the panic buying kicked off and everything we ordered was delivered. However topping up the perishables (which sane people know you can't hoard with any real degree of success) is getting difficult. Hopefully, now that the supermarkets have introduced rationing, it'll give the supply chain a chance to catch up and reasonably soon there'll be enough for everybody. So I'm sitting here with fairly well stocked fridge, freezer and cupboards, but almost afraid to eat any of it in case things get a lot worse before they get better!

Supermarkets, small shops and the “foreign food” shops near me are empty, I am vulnerable, one daughter and her family have to self isolate while another has asthma but needs to work, we are truly scuppered

Went to my local farm shop again today (it only opens on Fridays and Saturdays) I went at 8am hoping to avoid the crowds. There were quite a few people already there, younger people say in 20/30 year old category not respecting social distancing at all. After about 10 minutes more and more people kept piling in grabbing stuff. Ted the farmer was on the till and he muttered I cant cope with this and shouted "Go back to Lidle where you normally shop!" made me laugh. I shop in both but Lidle is in town and I'm not going back there as its carnage and townies are harder than us rural types and much more physical . I bought a load of stuff to make into ready meals....hope I get some customers now or I wont be able to pay the bills

FB announces where food etc is available but we can’t get there quick enough, went to Tesco this morning and got a few bits but there are restrictions, there are plenty of people offering help but if the groceries aren’t there it’s not much use, we only shop once a week or fortnightly, we never stockpiled and are now suffering because of people’s selfishness and greed, on the plus side we managed to get a sack of potatoes from the local farm shop so chips it is!

machel

Once we have our 'Big Shop' delivered (or soon after) we usually book another one for some weeks later. However...…. no bread, no milk, no cereal. no butter. no eggs, no fruit, in short, no perishables!

What use is a weather forecast when half the UK's cooped up indoors trying to work out their on-line shopping for a fortnight ahead?

The virus is airborne. What part of that do you not get?

According to a doc at the hospital...the virus can only travel about two metres before it drops to the ground...I have no idea how far two metres is,I work in feet not metric. It's transmitted through people coming into contact and then putting their hands on their faces,it enters through mouth, noses, ears and eyes....so keep the distance ,wash your hands a lot and then keep them off your face.....that's what he told me
