I take Dame at her word, if she says it was like that, then that's how it was as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks Carnelian, if I had done something underhanded or queue-jumped, I certainly would not have put it on an open forum, I am not that stupid

Ha feckin ha.

You're both momentum. Is that not Tesco super unleaded. I'd swear it is./

what Momentum as in "the Corbynite Marxist bullyboys of student politics"?  If so, yes, that's me and they are very, very maligned!  That said, I don't know why I'm still in Momentum as I've left the Labour Party.  Waiting for them to get rid of useless Starmer and get a proper leader, I guess.

You are going nowhere and you know it.

Unless you want another Tory Gov't.

Another round of New New Labour placeholding is worse than another Tory government.  The Tories will drag themselves in it eventually and a Tory-lite Labour Government just lets a discredited Tory Party lick their wounds and regroup while Labour keeps things more or less as the same as they were.

So you don't. Feck, nothing left to say.

How do you believe that?

This is  my last word on this, The Pfizer vaccine sometimes holds an extra dose, the appointments are booked on the number of doses supposedly in a vial. If you are giving say a thousand vaccines a day and three hundred of those have an extra vaccine in them..why would you throw them out?  After I left and the end of the day they had to throw out six vaccines, some people don't turn up, some waving the British flag will only have the Oxford one. I did not, and I repeat did not queue -jump. I also was in the age range and childmind my 10 and 11 year old grandsons and therefore vulnerable,,,,so Velvet I do not care what you think, or you put it on an open forum you think I'm a lair...I know the truth and I couldn't give a feck ...as for Momentum, what's that got to do with this, I left that years ago, and I have left the LP....so what else do you want to have a go at me or anyone else for that matter?

I volunteered at a Covid Vaccination centre today. At the end they had spare doses left in the vials. I am now the proud owner of a “I got my Covid Vaccine” sticker
🥰
It was wonderful. So many happy faces.

Very excited to be contacted by a local vaccination centre asking for my and other keyworkers contact details in case there is spare vaccine at the end of a day after no-shows etc. Would be great to have the vaccine! I’ve barely left the house for 9 months!

Just had a phone call ... Turns out the local GP surgery 'busted' where she lives, but they over-estimated the vaccines they needed ... They had one spare and my Mum 'duly obliged' for an 'Oxford' shot of Covid vaccine !

You're welcome to think that but I can assure you I care deeply.  You are far from alone thinking that.  I just do not see Sir Keir as anything other than a waste of space.

New Labour only tinkered with things, they did next to nothing for the working class and often tried their hand at playing the same racist and class hate rhetoric as the Tories.

New Labour didn't build homes nor did they reform the structural problems with society.    They just siphoned off the crumbs of casino banking to those in need and signed up to mug public-private partnerships with much more savvy private sector operations that ran rings around ministers.  Not that they minded because they were taking the backhanders rather than Tories.  They could say to conservative-minded voters, look at the new schools and hospitals and you haven't had a tax raise to pay for it! When casino banking failed, there were no more spoils.

@Baz Yes we are taking things very seriously

They asked if my Mum was on Wafarin and if so to take her book - she's on Rivaroxaban. Apparently one person has died from a haemorrhage 3 weeks after their jab in USA - so I'm terrified about side effects for people on blood thinners

My OH had his first jab today,he has underlying health conditions...and he takes the same thinner as your mum. He was asked on arrival which pill he was on and they said that one was ok.....had the Pfizer jab....with no side effects at all,had to stay in the surgery for 15 mins afterwards but that's all.Second jab for him is between 4 and 10 weeks....hope this helps put your mind at rest

For the first time in my life I was pleased to hear Boris Johnson announce on TV his congratulations to Cockermouth health authority for vaccinating over 90% of the over 80's, because that is exactly where I was on Saturday at that very self same surgery This will be the first and last time I can honestly confirm  that Johnson wasn't lying

Interesting and thank you for that reassurance It's so scary  - but my Mum isn't going tomorrow, she's been poorly so they immediately offered next Friday 22nd Jan and follow up for April 16th. Fingers crossed

The "if you don't vote, you can't complain" argument.  I used to believe that myself.

That's like walking into a grocer's to buy some bananas, seeing that they don't have any but noting they have 15 varieties of apples.  Then someone says, "You can't complain about them having no bananas when you didn't buy any apples!"

Thank you @Baz - such worrying times - have you had yours? Sorry if you've already said (my memory)

My older sis is only 18 months older than me, but is not in the best of health, so I think she's in group 4 or 5. Will be checking with her later today to see what's what with her vaccination - assuming she knows. My other sis is younger than me and is in a different age bracket {for now). So it's likely to be even longer for her, unless she gets bumped up because she gives my older sister help.....and she also has her own family - husband, two daughters, son-in-law, granddaughter.......and there's a dog in there too!
