Good Evening Both.

Warmer today but just cloud and 15c, medium winds of 19.

Got a taxi to and from the hospital as o/h was working, had good and bad news from the eye clinic, the consultant said my bad eye was good but my good eye has changed since May so have to go back tomorrow for a dye test again, had to ring about my bloods test as that was tomorrow as well, it's on Friday now.

Had bacon and black pudding with eggs for brekkie and i made a chicken dinner for o/h and had some of that for tea.

Have been making cream of mushroom soup, used one of the big bags of mushrooms, so many i can to get a seat while i chopped them up, put onion in, butter, double cram, chicken stock, cooked then blitzed with an electric blender.

Mollie, The loaf was seeded, they are much better for you anyway so i might as well do that.

I believe they don't give you the Shingles jab when you are 80 because they say it's effectiveness is so small, i am ok so far anyway.

Maybe a certain age you need a blood test every year, or it could be with the COPD not sure.

I still don't know what happened with the carrot and mushroom ordering, no idea, but she has just got another ÂĢ12 off her next online shop, wow.

Nice meeting your lad at lunchtime, never heard of Spicy Pumpkin Latte though, thats a big reduction for a dress, from ÂĢ290 to ÂĢ20, wow.

I keep forgetting to watch my BB recording, got 2 to watch now.

Emptybox, Glad the sink is running better, you could try filling the sink with very hot water and putting bleach or something to shift the grease, you would need a lot of hot water though so it's still very hot when it's passing the blockage.

I have one of those flexible wire un-blockers but they are just for the kitchen sink i think, mine was only short a couple of meters, but not stiff enough to push through wide pipes.

Yes, the Skype facility is so good, his o/h has 3 months off, then he is taking his 3 months off, at the moment he has 2 weeks from the birth off, don't hink i ever got even a week.

I watch those Border Force programs from Australia, usually Sydney Airport, so good.

Hicky

Hi Hicky.
Dry and sunny here, but a very cold wind. Up to 11c, but felt much colder at times because of the wind.
Got three jobs done anyway.

That's a pity that you have to go back to the hospital tomorrow for another check.
Does that mean one eye has improved but the other has got worse?
That's good that you were able to reschedule the blood test though.
Bet your mushroom soup was yummy. That's my favourite soup I think.

I have been putting sink fulls of hot water down, after I've used the Mr Muscle drain unblocker which contains strong bleach I think. It seems to work best if I leave the Mr Muscle in overnight, so it can find it's way to the blockage.
It seems to be staying clear at the moment anyway.
I was afraid that the flexible drain un-blocker that I've ordered wouldn't be rigid enough to get through the built up fat, and would just spiral round and not get anywhere, but it's worth a try. This one is supposed to be 7.6 metres, so should be enough to get from the kitchen outlet to where my branch meets the main kitchen drain, if it goes straight
If not it might come in handy when the bathroom sink gets blocked up, as it sometimes does.

Pity that Kay has left BB just as I started to like her.
Can't stand Lewis F even more now.

Emptybox

that is good you got a few jobs done despite the cold wind. Do you have the wooly hat back on again now it is autumn?

Glad to hear the drain appears to be unblocked now.

Let's hope the flixible unblocker does the trick for your blocked drains.

She was a strange one was that Kay. Not even really sure why she walked. I still can't say I really have any faves yet.

Hicky

sorry to hear you have to go back about your other eye. It is good they are monitoring you well though.

Your recipe for mushroom soup sounds delicious.

Yes I have heard that seeds are really good for you, and as you know home made food is always best too, so at least you can enjoy your loaf knowing how much good it is doing you.

Gosh ÂĢ12 off your next shop is a real bargain. I am sure you won't be short of ideas as to what to spend your savings on.

It is great your lad is able to have 3 months paternity leave. As you say, only a short period ago they didn't really allow fathers to have time off. So this is a good thing.

Weather still very mild here for autumn, and only the odd short drizzle period.

I went to aquafit yesterday and went quite deep in the water so I didn't need to stand on my bad foot and it worked, so at least I know I can continue with this.

Went to visit my friend in hospital today, took her lots of magazines. Poor thing has kidney problems. (they said it might be related to diabetes she has). So is having tests. She was glad to see me for a chat as these places are so boring.

Went to a concert last night... a West End guy who has starred as Phampton in Phompton of Opera 19 times! He had a great voice.

I am thrilled because I now have a ÂĢ290 dress that fits perfect for ÂĢ10! So it was worth the risk of bidding on it even though I hadn't tried it on.   The only thing is I am not due to go anywhere posh enough to wear it till perhaps New Years Eve. Never mind only one wear a year and I can't complain for what I paid for it.

Nearly time for the Apprentice, hope it is good this year.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Hi both.
Much warmer today, but dull and overcast.
Decided to do more work in my own garden, so I was cutting the grass (maybe for the last time), and digging over a couple of patches that I'm going to plant veg in next year.

Hicky. Hope you got on OK at the hospital today for your second eye test?

Mollie. I have been wearing the woolly hat at times, depending on the wind and the temp. I didn't need it today as it was warmer, but yesterday I had the woolly hat on and the padded gilet and was still freezing in the cold wind.

That's good that you know if you do the aquafit exercises in deeper water that it doesn't hurt your leg.
Pity your friend is in hospital with kidney problems, but bet she was pleased with your visit.

Glad you enjoyed your Musical last night.
I see you made two attempts to spell 'Phantom' and didn't even get close either time.   (sorry )
Glad your new bargain dress fits perfectly. Couldn't you have worn it to the Musical last night? Or did it not arrive till today?

Enjoyed The Apprentice.
They don't seem to be allowed to use the internet to research the items to buy.
My Brother is very keen on scuba diving, and has been to Malta to do it a couple of times, so I'm sure he would have known what an 'octopus' was.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

Quite a day, weather not bad, 16c cloud and winds of 15.

Had the hospital at 10am, was there about 3 hours, o/h was with me, we were starving as hadn't had brekkie, got some eye drops, then later a cannula, then later the eye pictures while they put the dye into the vein, then more colour pictures, then see the consultant, right eye stable left eye starting to leak, needed the first of 3 monthly injections, called in the chip shop on the way home and got beef curry with chips, didn't leave a mouthful.

Put more pepper and a touch of salt in the mushroom soup, got o/h to test it, it's ok, she took a bowl, i had 2 bowls, it's hard to get flavour out of normal mushroom, i should have had other more flavour ones in it as well but o/h wouldn't get any, made an apple crumble, had to make the crumble myself.

It's cold where you are, at least you got 3 jobs done.

I can't believe you don't have a manhole between your house and the main sewer system, you are supposed to be able to get to both ends of the drain so you can rod from both ends, heaven knows what you have, are you sure a grid/manhole isn't covered somewhere?

Normally you can get a rod or wire through and then pull something through to open the hole more.

The length does do much if you can't get to the other end of it and thats not good.

Yes, i believe Kay left, am 3 days behind, will have to try and catch up.

Have got cloud again tomorrow, warmer though,

----------------------------------------------

This didn't post, have just posted it, darn it Thursday night.

No HIcky yesterday or today as of yet.

Hope he is ok after his hospital visit yesterday.

Emptybox

that is good it has warmed up again there. It is back in the 20's here again this afternoon, so back to t shirt and cut off leggings.

Was it a work day today?

As you guessed, my dress did not arrive until after I had been to the concert. So I will have to contain myself until I next go out somewhere nice.

Yes Phampton or however it is spelt! is a word I can't think of how to spell.

The Apprentice candidates seem as bad as ever, don't they? As you say, they can't use google, else it would be too easy for them, even I guessed an octopus was not the obvious.

Wonder if we will get new HM's to replace the one chucked out and the one who walked, hope so, as there quite a few dull ones in there.

Went to hospital to visit friend again today, she looks quite a lot better than yesterday, so the drip must be helping. Hopefully she will be home soon.

Lovely day so washing dried, more like early September than October.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

This is Thursdays post.

Good Evening both.

Didn't do a lot today, o/h got a few bits for me off the shopping list, had a good shop last week.

Had bacon, egg and beans for brekkie.

For tea decided to make a beef madras curry with rice, enough for a few meals anyway.

Mollie, The soup was fine for me, later o/h said it had a bit too much pepper in, i hadn't noticed, ÂĢ12 is a lot to get off a weekly shop, we are just having a small shop this week, every other week we have a bigger one and go to the butchers as well.

I have seen Phantom of the Opera, my lad took us when he was over a few years ago, he was treating us to all sorts of things in London, including Crab and Lobster seafood dishes, wow.

Glad the dress fits, thats a bonus.

Enjoyed the apprentice, it must be hard to pick so many stupid people for 1 program, they really are miss-fits.

Emptybox, It's good to get some work done in your own garden, you could do with digging in a few sacks of well rotted manure, you can usually get it from a farmyard free, you may have to take sacks or something though, the one who did my fencing has a garden center and some animals, when i mentioned manure, he said how much, he brought a Tonne and tipped it in the front garden, it was wheelbarrowed through to the raised beds.

at the hospital, the eye tests showed up that i needed the injections in the other eye as there was a slight leak, i hadn't noticed any problem with the eye myself.

Hicky

Evening Mollie and Hicky.
Dull and windy day, but not cold. Up to 15c.
Got a job done this afternoon but was hampered by the wind blowing everything away.
The rain came on about 6pm and has been quite heavy.

Hicky. That's a pity that you'll need another course of eye drops. At least you've got one eye that's stable at least.
Sounds like you needed your curry and chips after all that time in the hospital.

There's definitely no manhole for the kitchen drain, only one for the downpipe drains.
When we first moved in, and it blocked for the first time, we saw this manhole and thought that's where the rods should go in, but of course that didn't do any good as it was the wrong drain. We discovered that we had to dig down and break into the pipe to get the rods in. It's a crazy system, and means my branch of the pipe has never been properly cleaned out.

These 3 cottages were originally 6 smaller ones. Then in 1970 they joined two into one to make the 3 larger ones. Whether they re-did the drains then, or whether we still have the drains for the original tiny cottages, I have no idea. But they are not fit for purpose.
I suspect the kitchens were originally at the back, which is why the back drains never block, and the ones at the front are too narrow.

I did dig in some compost. All the garden waste from my customers gets thrown over the bank at the back, and over the years it has rotted down, so I just have to dig down a little to get some really good compost. I dug a few barrow fulls into the patches I'm going to plant veg in next year. It's just really to move the potatoes to a different patch, and to plant something else in the potato patch to give it a rest from potatoes.

Mollie. That's good that you can go back to the summer clothes for a while. I didn't need my woolly hat today, although my summer hat kept getting blown off by the wind.

Oh well, you'll just have to find another occasion to wear your new dress.
Don't worry. We have got used to your unique spellings over the years.
Glad your friend is a bit better anyway.

No, nobody is standing out in The Apprentice so far.
Tonight I watched Location, then 'Rich House Poor House' then BB.
I think Rylan on BOTS said that we are getting a couple of new HMs soon? I wasn't really listening properly.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

Cool again today, 14c cloud, rain with light wind of 10.

didn't do a lot, o/h took me to the docs for the Bloods, then we decided to make a full nosh, bacon, eggs, black pud, tinned toms, beans and toast, very nice too.

We didn't eat till about 12.30 ish so having a light tea, Cheese and Macaroni then Christmas pud with cream.

Yes, your weather similar to here, not very nice, we have had rain as well, i don't need it of course.

It's not just eye drops, they give eye drops to open the pupil i suppose then more to deaden the eye ball before the injection, got another 2 to those now, 1 a month.

That drain system you have sure is a problem, the changes to the houses has surely led to this problem, a lot of houses have the house waste and the gutter water going into the same drain and manhole, the toilet waste is separate but on the newer houses here the water from the bathroom sinks and bath go into the toilet drain.

Without manholes to insert the rods you don't stand a chance.

That compost sounds good, a mixture of leaves and grass is good, some old horse manure would help as well put in now, that is usually free as well.

I missed the F1 Practice 1 this morning as it was on at 5.30am and i haven't recorded it.

BB eviction tonight, might watch on a delay to combat the adverts.

Hicky

both

Emptybox

pity the strong wind slowed you down at work.

Did you get any work done today?

Hope the drain is behaving.

Yes you two are well used to my dizziness and unique spellings by now. I am also terrible remembering names of people.

Two new HM's, that should be fun. The oldies won't like newbies rocking the boat this far in.

I really loved that airline task last night. Gosh the game designers pushed the  expense budjet on that one. Very clever it was though.

Hicky

sorry to hear you have to have injections in the other eye as well now. Not very pleasant for you at all, but worth it to keep a good standard of eye site.

Hope your blood test results are ok.

Pity your OH said the soup was a bit peppery for her, but I guess the good thing is that meant plenty for you.

Was your Christmas pud one saved from last year, or the new ones that are now in the shops?

Went for a browse round the auction this afternoon, it is getting more popular as word gets round, as it was very busy. But they have opened quite a few extra showrooms now. Their sucess must be down to all the stores closing down recently. eg...I know they had a lot from Maplins in recently.

Went to tesco for a bit of food shopping. I am enjoying seeing all the Christmas food in the shops. Bought 3 Lindt choccy stars fpr ÂĢ1.20.

Watching Gogglebox, recording Have I got News for You, then watching the rest of that great airline task and the new HM's.

Have a good evening both xxx

M

Hi both.

Very heavy rain last night and this morning. Dried up this afternoon, and even a little sunshine, but by then I'd decided to stay in and do my invoicing.

My flexible drain unblocker came. Quite a heavy thing, I suppose because it's 7.6 metres. Haven't tried it out as the drain is running OK just now, but I've put it in the cupboard for the next time it blocks.

Hicky. Oh yes I forgot about the eye injections.

Hope your blood test results are OK?

Pity you missed your F1 practise.

Mollie. Yes, it'll be great to see how the new HMs are received.

The airline task was OK. Don't think Isaac and Lewis came over very well in it.

Christmas food in the shops already? Dearie me!

Evening Both.

Don't know what is going on with this site, it's annoying, i was signed in as i had a posting box, it asked about the cookies and i ticked yes for cookies, when i had finished posting i click 'Post Reply' and it comes up with a box saying i have to enable cookies in the browser then click here, i couldn't find anything to enable cookies as it's enabled for the site anyway, i use it ever day, it then says it will reload the site, which it does, then i have to sign in as it signed me out, wat rubbish this is.

Now i have lost all the post i typed out, can't do it again, will catch up tomorrow.

This site is doing my head in, i'm getting sick of it, it's probably because i won't pay them the $25 they want.

It's discrimination in my book.

hope your flexiable drain unblocker works ok, but hopefully it will be a long time until you have the need to use it.

Yes can't believe how badly behaved some of these miserable HM;s are when all they had to do was sit down for 5 hours! (and were even given food during that time).

Oh no HIcky, that is just so annoying, especially after you wrote a long post.  I too can't undestand why we have to keep saying "yes" to this cookie thing, then having to sign in again. I too had to do this and sign in again, despite the fact I have said "yes" lots of times already! Luckily I don't seem to of lost my post though.

Went to Costco today, lots of delicous food samples and thier marketing ploy worked well beause we ended up buying a huge apple, blueberry, strawberry crumble as it was delicious.  Full of huge chunks of apple. The shop was full of delicous boxes of choccies and biscuits for Christmas and lovely decorations.

Rained all day till about 4pm, then the sun came out but that was too late to put the washing out, so I just hung it on airers round the house.

Wonder what the new HM's are like? Do either of you fancy the new girl? I think she looks like she could be interesting. That Brooke and Sian didn't look impressed at all with her arrival! I didnt' mind Brooke originally but really don't like her now. I think she is a stirer after how she tried to make out Lewis was being nasty when he had just made an innocent remark regarding being embarressed packing their suitcases because they didn't even go anywhere. No wonder he was fed up on the plane task with them all gossiping about him in the pool for no reason, led by Brooke!

X factor time.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Hi both.
Lovely sunny day here. Only 11c but felt warmer because there was no wind.
Got a big grass cutting job done.

Hicky. I agree that this site has become annoying, continually asking you to agree cookies and sign back in. It should have asked once and then remembered your answer.
I think you've just got to remember that if it asks you to OK cookies then you are going to have to log back in. So don't write a post until you have.
Or if you have already written a post, then copy it to your clipboard, so you can simply paste it back into a box if it's lost.

Mollie. That's good that you enjoyed Costco's free samples, and good for them that it inspired you to buy the crumble.
Pity you got the rain today though.

The new girl on BB looks OK, but we haven't seen much of her yet.
Don't think she and Brooke could have got on at the audition stage?
Brooke is one of my favourites, and I dislike Lewis with a passion, so I obviously see the situation different to you. I can't remember a HM as miserable as Lewis before. The sooner he is gone the better for me.

Can't think or anything worse than crisps tasting of pine needles?

The new series of Doctor Who starts tomorrow. Can't wait.

Evening Both.

Last night i had clicked accept cookies anyway, so i wrote the post as usual, it was only when i pressed the Post Reply button that the screen had a massive message blocking most of it, but also the page had been darkened so i could copy the post ot hardly see it, the software must have bugs in it.

I will just have to try and remember to copy the page before i post it.

13c today, sunny intervals, winds 9 to 15.

Just had toast and marmalade for brekkie with making a roast dinner today for 2.15, very nice it was.

Am just making a seed loaf, it's in the machine still, it will be a couple of hours yet.

Got my new eye appointment, Oct 31st.

Mollie, The new HM's will stir up the house, no-one likes change, or new members, will see tonight, will record it though for tomorrow.

I recorded Friday nights BB, watched it Saturday, didn't record Bots, had all the weeks recorded but didn't bother watching, will just delete them.

About time Costco tempted you to buy what you sampled, it doesn't look like o/h will be going, not sure why, she did say we can get the stuff either online or from the shops.

Emptybox, At least the weather let you get that big grass cutting job done, it all helps.

Yes, no idea why it keeps asking about the cookies, nothing had changed, and then it reloads the page, loses my posts and signs me out, what a rubbish system.

Right, copy post before i press the button, copied, done, go.

Hicky

Emptybox

that's good you got a nice sunny day and so a big grass cutting job done.

Son cut our grass today as the weather was so nice.

I am not keen on Lewis either, but think he is an interesting (but moany) HM, so is usually deserving of the HM's complaints but on that one ocassion I think he was actually joking with Thomas about packing their suitcases being embarassing when they ended up going nowhere!

I don't really have a fave this series, maybe Zoe? Nor do I really dislike anyone, not that interested in any of them, but a enjoying the tasks. Hope I find the newbies of interest though.

Hicky

I bet you enjoyed your loaf when it cooked.

Gosh an eye appointment on Halloween day.

Joking aside, I hope all goes well.

Yes you are right, no matter how nice new HM's are, the old ones always feel they have had their nose put out of joint. So should be interesting.

I think with Costco you have to justify the joining fee, so with there just being 2 of you, and as you buy elsewhere too, it is probably not worth joining.

It does the same thing for me here and I need to keep saying "yes" to these damn cookies then logging in again. I was lucky and didn't lose the post though. So a good idea for you to copy first.

Lovely day today, chilly first thing but didn't mind as the sun shone all day.

Started the day with Weatherspoon brekkie....2 quorn sausages, beans, tomato, mushroom, hash brown, toast. 2 coffees as you get free refills. Very nice. Did lots of washing, even the sheets dried on the line.

Looking forward to BB to see the new HM's.

watching X factor a bit late as daughter wanted to watch Dr Who. What did you think of Jodie as the Dr Who then Emptybox as I know you like her? I think she is a great actress. I liked her in Broadchurch.

Goodnight both xxx

Hi both.
Nasty cold very windy day here with quite a lot of drizzle. Only 8c when I went to Sainsburys this afternoon.
Forecast for the next couple of days not so good either, but it's supposed to improve mid-week.

Hicky. Ah well at least you won't need another eye injection till the end of the month.
At least you didn't lose your post today.
Predictably it asked me to sign in yet again today. I'll have to take a look on the site to see if others are complaining as well.

Mollie. Glad you got a nice day anyway.
That's good that your sheets are still drying on the line. I put out a load on the line one day last week, and they were only half dry hours later.
Your Wetherspoons brekkie sounds nice.

I thought Jodie was great in the role.
It was a really fun episode, even though the storyline was a wee bit lame.
Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Evening Both.

Warmer today, 16c cloud with sunny intervals and winds of 15 to 17.

Didn't do a lot, had bacon and black pud for brekkie with toast, for tea decided on Spag Bol with half and half with Spag & Taglatelli.

Another of my lads rang me this morning, he lives over Manchester way, they have a big dance academy and are both at Uni doing master degrees, he is also the project manager for a massive school project worth 70 million so he doesn't get much free time, thats the problem with being so busy these days, he's sent me some nice pictures anyway.

My email page is playing up, it stopped working on Opera this morning so i changed to Firefox then that stopped working so changed to MS Edge, which is still working, no idea whats going on, O/H's is fine.

My loaf i made last night is very good, before the last Rise times i removed the dough and removed the paddles, put some greaseproof paper over the pegs and put the dough back, good idea.

Mollie, Not sure why o/h is staying away from Costco, maybe we spend too much and as she's trying to stay clear of sweets salt fat etc maybe Costco is too much of a challenge.

Thats a good idea to start your day at Weatherspoons they do a good meal, cheap as well.

forgot to watch BB today, will watch in a mo, watched Dr Who, it was ok, but as i usually only watch reality tv or documentaries but it was on so i didn't turn over,

Emptybox,  Warmer here tomorrow, 22c Wednesday, not bad, then rain Thursday.

I see your weather is even worse, not nice at all.

Yes, what is all this asking us to sign in, will have to remember to copy the post before i Post Reply.

did you manage to get any work done today? I did hear on the weather that Scotland was due for some strong winds, a bit windy here for a couple of hours, but not much, we even got some sun, so can't complain.

Glad Jodie playing the staring role made up for the weak storyline for you last night.

Hicky

your son sounds real clever if he is doing a Masters degree. Is that the one when they can call themselves Dr so and so? What sort of dancing do they teach?

Hope you can sort out the problem with your email.

Glad to hear you have had such a sucess with your loaf. Does your OH enjoy this one too. How is she coping at work with her bad knees? Does she get to sit down for work?

Let's hope you dont lose any more posts now.

Looks like the new HM's are really shaking them up. Hussain must of been told to act like a proper villain to give the series a story? Surely no one could really go in at this late stage and claim to be the "King", and deliberately wind them up the way he does unless it was all preplanned?

Got my washing dry again today, just hung them on the airer to air them in the house when I got them in.

Met son at lunch time and he had a toastie in tesco, I am trying to not eat much at lunch so didn't have anything. Did a bit of food shopping after.

Am watching Monkman and Seagull now. Then am watching the Old Peoples HOme for 4 year olds after. I enjoyed the 1st series of this, the kiddies were just so cute with the oldies and the oldies loved mixing with the littlies too.

Think I will do aquafit tomorrow morning.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Hi both.

Windy and drizzly here today but not cold. Up to 12c.

Waited in for a parcel delivered by Yodel. It was a couple of batteries for my Bosch hedgecutter.

Then I went to Sainsburys to pick up another parcel (click and collect). It was a belt guard for my Mountfield mower.

I was hoping the click and collect one would have been there yesterday when I was getting my shopping, but no such luck.

It would also have been handy if I could have got the batteries click and collect rather than waiting in for a delivery, but it wasn't an option.

Hicky. Your lad in Manchester sounds super busy. At least he can keep in touch online even if he can't visit often.

Pity your email is playing up. On Windows I use the Mail app to access email, rather than using browsers, but TBH I mostly access email via phone apps nowadays.

Mollie. Glad you had washing drying weather today.

Don't overdo the Aquafit tomorrow.

Not much on TV tonight apart from BB.

Think I'll watch Doctor Who again, just because I can.

emptybox

Evening Both.

Didn't do a lot today, 17c sunny with winds of 15, quite nice.

Blew the tyres up on my little 4 wheel garden trolley i use for carrying heavy loads around the garden, i have a couple of compressors but one needed adapters to use from a cigar lighter socket so i bought the adapters and a power supply with a cigar lighter sock fitted.

Had scrambled egg and beans for brekkie as i'd run out of bacon, could have had black pudding but best with bacon, o/h brought some in from work so i'm ok now.

Fro tea i made a plate of Nacho with JalapeÃąo green sliced chillies, it's a good meal, so cheap as well, only need to buy the cheese and grate it.

Nacho
Plate of Nacho with JalapeÃąo Chili slices

Mollie, I don't know what the Masters degree gets him, he is very clever, my Cousins lad was a Scientist but he died, he sure was clever.

I'm not sure what dancing is taught but they have 350 enrolled, his o/h runs the dance studio, it's 2,000 square feet over 2 floors.

At the moment o/h is on the till as the cash is done by machine and she wouldn't be able to walk around for hours, she is limping quite bad.

I think this Coin scheme is brill, if they had done this years ago the show might not be in jeopardy.

Not sure what game Hussain is playing, don't think it will pay off.

I missed that show with the kiddies and the oldies, not sure how.

Emptybox, I wonder why some goods are not click and collect, strange.

That will be handy having the extra batteries, fantastic.

Who pays the postage on click and collect then?

I don't understand the email, after it starting and then failing on 3 browsers i tried another option, i signed into BT then selected email and it worked but if i am in email and i F5 refresh then it fails again and i have to resign into BT, very confused at the mo.

The email comes through to my phone fine, don't have a problem with that.

I watched last nights recording of BB, interesting, Thomasz wasted 300 coins, he was never going to be up or evicted.

wow your nachos look delicous, I bet you really enjoyed your tea tonight.

That is sad your cousin lost her lad.

Gosh 350 students, that is a big dance school.

Good job your OH can sit at a till at work.

I agree the BB coin thing is great, as you say a shame they ddin't think of this a long time ago. It is great to see them being competitive.

It was a lovely day here today. So nice I was back to sunbathing in the sundress on the swingchair, great. And got 5 washloads dried.

Went to aquafit today, have now sussed how to avoid doing it without making the pain come in my ankle now. I go as deep as I can so my bad foot doesn't need to touch the floor.

We are due to go to  21c and sun tomorrow, brilliant,

Time for Bake Off now.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening both.
Dull and stupidly windy here today. Quite mild though, up to 13c.
It's supposed to get warmer for me tomorrow, maybe up to 18c, but I'm not counting my chickens.

Got three jobs done, including a cutting a high conifer hedge, at the top of a long ladder. That wasn't very sensible in the high winds, and I almost got blown off a couple of times , but I needed to get the hedge finished as really it should have been done before the end of September.

I used the new batteries for hedge cutter. They gave me about 30 minutes each. A bit disappointing, but I guess that's an extra hour of cutting that I couldn't do before. It's only Ni-cad batteries that the Bosch takes, so not as good as Li-ion ones, but much cheaper.

For some reason they haven't sent me a text to say that my prescription is ready, and it's been more than 5 weeks since I got the last batch. So I think I'll have to go in tomorrow and see what's happened. Maybe thay just forgot to send the text. or perhaps I'll need to go back to the doctor to get a new repeat prescription?

Hicky. Those Nachos look good. Very artistically presented.
Yes, I've got a little compressor that connects to the car 12v socket to blow my tyres up. Very useful.
That's handy that your OH can stick to being on the till while she's waiting for her op.

I think an Ebay seller can choose whether to offer click and collect as an option. It's so long since I sold anything on Ebay that I can't remember if click and collect was even around then.
The p&p was free on my item, but the seller still has to post the item to an Argos/Sainsburys store, so some items still charge you the postage I think.

Mollie. That's great that you got sunbathing weather. I'm envious. Just a distant memory up here.
That's good that Aquafit is now working despite your bad ankle.

Yes, I'm really liking Jodie Whittaker as 'The Doctor'. I also like Mandip Gill as the female companion. And Bradley Walsh is going to be great in it as well.

Not really bothered about the coins theme in BB, although I suppose it is creating conflict.
Neither of the newbies have really taken my liking so far. The bloke is just an idiot, going round trying to wind everybody up. And the girl hasn't made any impact at all.

emptybox

Evening Both.

Phoned for blood test results, all normal.

Nice today, 21c sunny all day with winds of around 10.

Made brekkie for us both as o/h is at home Wednesday, then picked up 3 buckets of leaves from the fig trees.

Made a dinner with a rack of lamb, baked spuds and spaghetti.

Made an apple crumble, best yet, o/h enjoyed it, too much sugar though.

O/H had her car in for a service and MOT today, no problem

Going to see if we can get the prescriptions delivered to the house.

Oh, and about the email site, it's working again now, strange, couldn't have been my end then.

Gpong to Butchers tomorrow for some goodies.

Mollie, It's funny how you can like a show more when it becomes more interesting, the coin system really has changed the whole show, i wonder if the show will have a buyer now, i wonder what the viewing figures are now.

It's good when you can get on the swing again, i suppose being deep in the water would stop your bad leg touching the bottom.

O/H tried the Gel pack that can be hot or cold to go on swelling, she wants it for after her op, she tried it from the freezer, you leave it 5 minutes then put it on the swelling, it goes in a cloth sling thingie that wraps around the area to be treated, she said it was fine, you only leave it on for 20 minutes.

Emptybox, That was good getting some jobs done but on ladder in high winds doesn't sound such a good idea.

thats a bit worrying, the prescription i mean, best check pdq to see what the problem is, you may need a review.

O/H has been trying to get the Sundays off, a few others have done this, we think it's because o/h is so good and so fast they want her to stay.

A small air compressor is so good to have either with you or at home, when we broke down last time and needed jump leads i found 2 cases with them in at home in the garage, not just 1 set, but 2, i used to carry all that sort of stuff in the landrover, but not o/h.

Yes, i can imagine someone has to pay the postage to send items to the pick up place.

I did take some time to place the Nacho's onto the plate as there are 2 layers each with a layer of salsa and a layer of cheese, it makes a rather nice meal, sent the picture to my Lad in Oz, he said, nom nom nom nom.

Hi Hicky.
That's great that your blood tests were normal.

After saying yesterday that sunbathing weather was a distant memory for me, I could actually have sunbathed today, if I'd had the time and inclination.
It was a lovely sunny calm day, and my van said 22c at times. A huge contrast to yesterday.

I went into town this morning to get my prescription. It turned out they had it waiting for me, and must have forgotten to text me.
I also went to the bank.
Afterwards I did a big grass cutting job, and was actually sweating and needing to drink a lot of squash.
If it hadn't been for the fact that the house is cool inside and it got dark quicker, you would have thought it was summer.

That's good that your OH's car got through the MoT without problems, and you were both enjoying the food you made.
Useful if you could get your prescriptions delivered.
Glad your Email is working again. Must have been a glitch at their end I suppose.
I suppose the jump leads aren't much good in the garage.

Surprised the girls' team won on the Apprentice, I didn't think much of their comic. I thought the boys' one was more colourful, but I guess it came down to the pitching and the animated cover, which was better in the girls' one.

emptybox

Evening Emptybox.

Not bad here today at 18c sunny intervals and brisk breeze of 13 to 18.

Had bacon and black pud for brekkie with toast.

Went to the butchers, just got black pud, Rib Beef, Ham Hock, Ox Tongue, Roast Turkey, Roast Beef, Pork Sausages, Lambs Hearts, Lamb Loin Chops, Chicken Fillets, Pork Pies, Lancashire Crumble Cheese, Free Range Eggs, T-Bone Steak.

Have made my shopping list out all ready for tomorrow, so that one chore done. Lol.

For Tea decided on Stuffed Heart with a sauce from a recipe and baked spuds.

I have picked all the eating Apples now, loads in garage, got 6 big Bramley left, i know what to do now for a good crumble, i cut the 3 apples 3 ways so they wouldn't all mush together which worked fine, will have to include less sugar as o/h can't take it.

Have got loads of Raspberries so will be making a crumble with those soon.

Yes, the weather ok but no heat in the sun as it's too far away now.

At least the wasn't really a problem with the prescription so thats sorted.

I have noticed the evening going dark so quick now, wow, nearly half way through October.

Looking into how to get meds delivered, otherwise i'll have to keep getting taxis.

Strange about the email, it worked once on each browser but when i did F5 refresh it failed, have got rid of the 3rd browser, i mean closed it not got rid.

On The Apprentice i thought both sides were hopeless, they really can't follow what LS wants can they, the 3 of them that came into the office should have gone as all were hopeless, the only reason they stayed was because the show needs them to get through the series.

Hicky

Emptybox

so glad summer came back to you yesterday too.   It was another hot one here too. As you say, it was like summer again. Good to see you remembered to keep your fluids up.

I hear we have more high winds and rain to come so try and be sensible and keep off that ladder if we do!

Thank goodness they did have your prescription, it is such a pain having to make a docs appointment, let alone going there!

Yes I too was surprised the girls won on the Apprentice.

I agree that it is not only Jodie who is good on Dr Who, Bradley Walsh is brilliant too. (I don't follow the story though it is just on in the background when daughter watches, as I find it a bit scary with all those horrible monsters!).

Hicky

good to hear you got that email sorted, hope it stays problem free now, and good too your wife's car MOT was ok.

You certainly had a long list for the butchers.

Yes I supposed with your OH having diabetes you have to consider not using much sugar in the food you make. But I guess a lot of fruit is naturally sweet so you shouldn't need much. My OH has bought coconut sugar and uses that in his tea now, which is fine he says. Wonder if that would be better for your OH than refined sugar?

To have a gel pack ready for her post op time sounds like a good idea for your OH.

I saw an advert for a chemist that delivers prescriptions for free, so I think a few do it. So hope you get it sorted. Maybe the docs would know which chemists do it in your area?

I agree both teams were bad on Apprenitce but think the girls and their French idea was awful when they couldn't even speak or spell French!

Had a busy couple of days, son wanted me to go to Cardiff with him yesterday as he had a meeting at Uni, so we went on the train. I bought a jumper and a few bits of nice food from M and S.

Today I have had a lot of paperwork to sort for the solicitor to do with mum's estate. Then this afternoon we had tickets to see this...

http://www.newtheatrecardiff.co.uk/what's-on/the-comedy-about-a-bank-robbery/

It was brilliant, so funny... incredible timing for their slapstick comedy to fit in with all the scenery.  It appeals to all my family so we all went, we have seen this theatre company a few times now.

Then we ate at Pizza Hut on the way back as I had a 33% off voucher. I had goats cheese and caramalised onion on a BBQ base, very nice, as we the help yourself salad cart.

BB  ..... The dominoes was a good little task. Lewis did well completing it.

Looking forward to tonight's episode.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Hi both.
Back to business as usual as far as the weather was concerned. Dull windy and drizzly this morning. A bit of sunshine this afternoon, but still windy, and only up to 14c.
So my 'Indian Summer' lasted all of one day.
Got one job done this afternoon anyway.

Bit perturbing the way the stock market has been plunging the last week or so. Wiped about 6 months growth off it. Think it's something to do with the US and them selling off stocks to buy bonds instead, because the US interest rates are going up?
Hope it doesn't continue for much longer.

Well, another Royal Wedding tomorrow. Strange there's been hardly anything about this one in the press. I guess Eugenie isn't nearly as popular as Harry and Meghan?

Hicky. Lots of good stuff from the Butchers there.
Don't think I've ever ate a heart? Apart from in Haggis I guess?

I think there's been an awful lot of apples everywhere this year? One customer gave me a big bag of them, and my neighbour offered me some of her's as well. She's never done that before.
I've even had a bumper crop of my tiny ones on the two trees. And they are actually sweet to eat, even though they are very small. I always thought they were crab apples, but perhaps they just never ripened properly before?

Mollie. I hope there isn't more high winds and rain. But luckily I've finished that high hedge now. I've still a few more hedges to cut with my own steps, but they aren't high at all.

Ah so you hide behind the sofa when the scary bits on Doctor Who come on?
You wouldn't have liked the fella with all the teeth in his face then?

Glad you managed to buy a few things when you went to Cardiff.
Don't envy you that paperwork to do with your Mum's estate.
Glad you enjoyed your comedy play. Followed by the discount pizza.

Tonight i watched Location followed by Rich House Poor House, then BB.

Evening Both.

Not so nice today, 19c heavy rain windy with 41 to 44 gusts.

My shopping arrived, didn't order much as o/h is going to do an online shop Monday or Tuesday so all the heavy stuff will go onto that.

Had bacon black pudding and egg for brekkie with toast.

Had my T-Bone steak for tea, with it being rather big i didn't have anything with it.

Mollie, Never heard of Coconut Sugar, we don't take sugar in drinks at all, have very little sugar.

Lloyds Pharmacy deliver next doors meds so we know they do deliver, but don't know how we get involved yet.

Yes, the Girls on The Apprentice are rather crazy, not sure how the buyers bought into their loony ideas.

You have been busy, Cardiff, going to Shows, no stopping you is there, and Pizza Hut, wow.

BB, yes, loving the tasks, i would have put little piles of domino's around the track to start with before i stood any of the domino's up, so you don't have to keep walking up and down when you have stood some up, that was why they kept falling over when knocked.

Emptybox, Didn't realise the stock market was going down, probably with not having any dealings with it, bad news for you though.

I watched the Royal Wedding, BBC turned it down, think that was a big mistake, ITV showed the whole thing and told us who was who which was good, the Bride looked very nice, a great wedding.

The Lambs hearts are very nice, you can braise them whole ot slice them up and trim and roast, a very tasty meal and at only ÂĢ1 each you can't go wrong, i want an Ox heart but have to order them.

Yes, apples everywhere this year but the farmers said their harvest would be down because of the weather, they must be all down South.

The only apples left on my trees are the Bramley as i said, don't want to take them off yet as they are probably still growing.

I watched Rich house Poor house, and they only lived a couple of miles apart, it's all down to earning in the end.

Hicky

Emptybox

pity your Indian summer only last 1 day, let's hope you get a return soon.

Yes I did notice the stock market has not being quite so well these last few days. I guess that is the nature of it though, up and down like a yo yo, but overall has gone up a lot.

Yes  on Dr Who, I did not care for that horrible guy with teeth face.

Hicky

Good idea to get all your heavy stuff delivered especially with your OH's knees playing up.

The local chemist used to deliver for my mum, so hopefully if you ring your chemist, they should be able to sort it.

BB - I am sure your engineering type background would of helped you work out how to successfully do that dominoes task.

I too enjoyed the Royal wedding today, I thought her dress was lovely. And the kiddies looked so cute. A lovely wedding. As you say, a big mistake that the bbc refused it. Although it was windy, it was dry and bright, which is lucky being October.

Signed paperwork for solicitor today and emailed some other stuff. Should all be done by end January, thank goodness. Hard for me to move on from losing my mum until it is all sorted, but not long now.

Very windy today and rain on and off, but not quite as bad so far as they predicted.

Looking forward to BB tonight.

Watching Gogglebox now, still love this show.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Evening.

Rain most of the day, some of it quite heavy. Windy as well, so no good for work. Wasn't cold though.

I think the grass has taken a boost from the warmer weather. My back grass hadn't grown for weeks, but it's getting a bit fuzzy again now. Probably means I'll have to go round everybody again. Not sure if that's good or bad?

Hicky. Glad your shop came.

I was thinking the same thing with the dominoes. If they laid them in small groups and something went wrong, then only the one group would fall, rather than the whole lot.

Yes the stock market has really plunged this week. The FTSE has gone below 7000 for the first time since March. I'm much lighter of pocket today than I was this time last week. On paper anyway. I suppose I should look on it as a buying opportunity and hope things go up again.

I suppose I can't blame Brexit though, as it seems it's the US to blame.

Mollie. I enjoyed watching the Wedding as well. I've always had a soft spot for Eugenie, and I thought she looked lovely.

There were a lot less spectators than for Harry, but it was just as good watching it on the telly, seeing all the guests arrive etc.

That's good that your Mum's estate should be finalised by the new year. Will be a weight off your mind.

So Kenally is out of BB. TBH I didn't particularly want either her or Akeem to go. Should have been Lewis F.

emptybox

Evening Both, running later tonight,

Not nice really today, 20c but rain sowers all day, strong winds as well with gales midday of 41 to 44.

Didn't do a lot with the weather like that, made us brekkie when o/h got in from work, put a Ham Hock on for tea, boiled it twice then roasted it, made soup with most of the liquid.

Am making another KG of Yoghurt as i need some for a couple of the recipes for next week, buttered chicken and chicken massala.

Mollie, We get the prescription meds from the Chemist in Sainsbury's, but of course they don't deliver it's just a shop, so to speak.

There most probably is an art to the Domino task, but unless they are quick thinkers then it wouldn't work anyway.

I saw on the news, a clip from the wedding when they were leaving a little one on the steps asked a Princess, "are you a Queen", she said no, so asked, "are you a Princess", yes she answered.

It's taking an awful long time, this estate with the solicitor, good job your not in a hurry, very frustrating.

Watched the BB recording, it should be interesting next week then, wasn't bothered who went really.

Emptybox, I'm not surprised the grass could be growing, mild weather and rain.

Yes, what you do with the dominoes is, put stacks of say 10 all round the track, then set the upright banks in sets of 10 or so, but leave one out every 10 till you complete the course, so if a set falls it stops instead of dropping them all, then at the end you put the missing ones in to complete the line.

Myself, i think the stocks and shares are fixed, if they weren't then how could you make money, something or someone causes the shares to drop so people just in and buy, which causes the shares to rise, but the reason they go up or down to me is mainly fake, most big lots of shares are run by computers so if a share drops the computers sell all the shares, thats a massive problem.

Hicky

both xxx

Emptybox

pity it was too wet to work.

I did guess even the grass up there would carry on growing with this mild and wet spell. Bad news it will give you more work, but good news it should make up for the wages you lost over the summer when it didn't need cutting in the heatwave. Let's hope you can get a bit of a dry spell to get it done though. Our grass is still growing like mad too.

As you say, maybe it would be a stock market buying opportunity for you now it has dropped?  But I am not sure about that, as there is so much built on debt at the moment, it might prove too risky, especially as it is hardly likely interest rates will go down now, they have been far too low over the last few years compared to the norm. As you say, they can't blame brexit, as our stock market is mainly down to what happens in USA, and interest rates have been going up quicker there than here. That is the trouble, it is all too complicated and unpredicatable though. And as HIcky says, it is probably all fixed by the "powers that be" to suit themselves anyway. I did hear the  "plunge protection team" just jump in for they go too low though.

Yes a lovely wedding, it came over so well on tv, in fact I think I preferred it to Harrys.

Hicky

Oh I see, that is right, none of the supermarkets would deliver prescriptions, you would have to set up with a small local chemist.

I know you make your own yogurt for recipes. Do you ever eat it on its own? If so is it nice?

The weather was not good here either today,.... wind and rain, but so odd, as it was just so warm, it stayed in the 20's all day!

We were going to go to Cardiff but heeded the weather warnings and didn't, and I am glad we didn't. This is the area we normally have a stroll and a bit of lunch.

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/...cardiff-bay-15276662

BB....Oh well I guess that was why the HM's were not so good at the dominoes then....if quick workers were needed! Most of them seem to have trouble dragging themselves out of bed each morning.

Oh yes, I saw that clip with the little bridesmaid asking Fergie if she was a queen, and when she said "no", asking if she was a princess. It was so funny. (and very cute). You will probably not be surprised to hear that was Robbie Williams 6 year old daughter,.... looks like she is going to be cheeky, just like her dad.

Just found the clip here.....

https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/c...ment-robbie-13409949

As we decided not to go to town with the bad weather, we went to Weatherspoon for brekkie as I reckon it is cheaper to eat there, that me buy and make the food, for the price they charge. So a nice treat.

X factor now, not keen so far on Robbie's groups at all though.

Goodnight both.

M

Evening both.
Very wet here all day, and very stormy around 5pm. Very high winds.
Never ventured out to find out what the temp was like, but it wasn't cold in the house anyway.

Just did the normal Saturday things. Had a bath followed by spag bol and beer.

Hicky. Seems you got the gales a few hours before me, so perhaps they were travelling north?
Your Ham hock sounds tasty. Good to make soup as well.

Yeah, I saw that clip, with Robbie William's daughter asking Fergie if she was the Queen. She's not really a Princess either. She's just about clinging on to being a Duchess really.

Don't think stocks and shares are 'fixed' exactly, but big investment companies can have a huge influence on the share prices, if they decide to buy or sell.

Mollie. Yes I think South Wales got some of the worst of Storm Callum.
Good job that you decided to put off your trip to Cardiff.
Interesting that we had Storm Ali a little while ago, and that is my Brother's name, and Callum is one of my Nephew's names.
I've looked at the list, and there are no more family names coming up, thank goodness.
www.thesun.co.uk/uk-storm-names-2018/

Yes I did lose quite a lot of business in the Summer dry spell, but the problem will be finding enough dry weather to get round everybody.

You are probably right that it is not quite the right time for buying more shares. Better to wait till there's some sign of a recovery. And that might not come till we see how Brexit is going to work out.
I don't really have any spare money right now anyway.

Watched some of X Factor. Watched Robbie William's bit with the groups, but turned over when that Louis teenager was on with the boys. No interest in him or them.

The second episode of Doctor Who on tomorrow. can't wait.

Evening Both.:

Cool today, 13c cloud rain and sun, a mixed bag, no wind though, which is nice.

Didn't do much as i had to prepare the roast dinner, i use the meat probe with the dual probe controller, it lets me get the meat exactly right, mind you it was Rib Beef which is pretty yummy.

Just making a loaf as need one anyway and SIL coming over for brekkie in the morning on her way to their Mums.

Going to take the paddles out and do some kneading to see if i can make the bread lighter, worth a try.

Mollie, The weather there has been rough, i saw the video, at least you are safe, mud slides are scary, and 1 lad has died.

Weatherspoons for brekkie sounds good, didn't bother with brekkie today with making the roast for 2.15pm.

Not watching X-Factor, not bothering this year.

Emptybox, Spag Bol and Beer, sounds a good Saturday that.

With the Ham Hock costing ÂĢ3.50 it gives us a snack, i boiled it twice then roasted it as i like crispy crackling. i should have soaked it in water for a couple of days really, next time.

When we had the big bank crash that was done by the computers selling wasn't it, it's similar to a thermostat in the house, when the temperature drops the heating comes on, you do't have to interfere it's automatic, so is the stocks and shares, it's not left to humans, we mess things up, so it seems do computers.

The stocks and shares use Brexit as a smoke screen to lower the value, and when they are low enough they will be bought back, it's not a coincidence surely.

Watching Dr Who, pretty good considering i only watch reality shows, naughty me.

Hicky

Hi both xxx

Emptybox

hope you are enjoying Dr Who right now. I am iistening to my music whilst daughter watches, so I don't have nightmares.   as even Bake Off gave me a nightmare the other week when that guy made a realistic looking snake!

I see you too got the bad weather there yesterday too. Lots of rain here this morning, but gone by about 2pm fortunately. By 4pm we got a bit of sun and it was warm then, so I sat on swingchair , warm enough for t shirt till the shade came over about half hour later. The shadows are longer now.

Let's hope you do get some dry weather to be able catch up with the summer work you lost in the heat.

Thanks for the storm name link, interesting. A coincidence how the storms have been following your family's names. No family names for me there. The only thing I don't like about it is, it is another example of an American thing we have to copy.

X factor...you mean to say  you didn't watch the best part, Louis's judging!  He is a great judge, really takes an interest in and offers good advice to the contestants. I reckon his category will win. They were good. I like Robbie, but not sure of his contestants, quite a few that did not impress me. Looking forward to tonights episode. To have 1D's Liam with Louis  as a judge too is an added bonus.

Went to costco today, not so impressed with the free samples today, as it was 2 lots of prawn stuff, chicken (alll of which I don't eat) and a profiterole, and 2 lots of soft drink. I did like the vodka samples though.

Enjoyed the jacket potato and beans for lunch though.

Hope Hicky had a good day. Wonder if he made a roast dinner for when his OH got home from work?

Looking forward to BB tonight, the coin stuff should be interesting agin.

Goodnight both xxx

M

Hi both.
A cold damp start here, but turned into a nice sunny day.
Went to Lidl this afternoon.

Hicky. Hope you had a success with the loaf for SiL's visit?
That's good that you got some snacks from the Ham hock.

The aim of stocks and shares is to make money, so you buy when the price is low and sell when the price is high. They will use computer software to automate it to a certain extent, and there's a certain amount of speculation goes on, but I don't think anyone deliberately loses money in order to bring share prices down.
It's more that people act like headless chickens and follow the trend to sell sell sell.

Glad you enjoyed Doctor Who. It perhaps wasn't as good as last week's episode in some ways, but I am really loving Jodie Whittaker in the role.

Mollie. Glad you got some sunbathing weather, even if it was only for half an hour.
There wasn't anything too scary in this week's Doctor Who. But I guess if even Bake Off scares you?........

No I can't be bothered with these boyband bods. Although I suppose Robbie Williams was a boyband bod once? But at least he's grown up a bit now.

Pity you weren't impressed by most of the Costco samples today, apart from the Vodka ones.

emptybox

Evening Both.

You must have missed my post Mollie, i was late last night.

Not bad today, 13c sunny intervals, winds dropped to 6.

Didn't do a lot, SIL came for her toast and marmalade, she likes my bread, had made a new loaf.

For tea i decided on the Butter Chicken now i have the new 1kg of Yoghurt i made, used 2 breasts of chicken cubed, it takes quite a bit of time and a lot of dishes, it is in my recipe book i made from watching GrandPa Kitchen, i had 1 portion tonight with boiled rice, going to see if i can make Chapati's tomorrow like GrandPa, have the machine to do the kneading now.

Mollie, I enjoyed Dr Who, it's becoming a good show.

Enjoyed Strictly, not surprised who went, didn't watch X-Factor, too boring.

O/H has made out a shopping list for Sainsbury's to deliver, mostly heavy stuff to save  her lugging it around, she had another ÂĢ12 off, it comes tomorrow.

Pity the Costco samples were no good for you, good job the meals are ok though, Vodka samples, thats a strange one.

Emptybox, I didn't mean people get their own shares to drop, but if fake news can make a price drop and keep dropping then you can jump in and buy, thats what goes on, i don't accept the speculation thing, they find out info before anyone else and can then either sell or buy depending on what you have been told.

A big proportion of money dealings is pension funds etc but i really think the whole system is corrupt, look at this coffee chain that is in trouble, they have been fixing the books to make it look like they are making money.

I thought Dr Who was good this week, a good story line, you never know what is coming next.

Hicky

both xxx

Emptybox

glad to hear you got a nice sunny Sunday afternoon for your visit to Lidl.

Did you buy anything different this week to try?

I too heard this last episode of Dr Who was a bit weaker on the plot than last weeks but that is good you are still enjoying Jodie in the role.

X factor...Not so sure about Robbie being a bit grown up now...   He has probably got a bit more sensible with Ada to control him, but I actually think Louis acts the more mature one compared to Robbie, and gives sensible advice. Louis is also very empathic with the contestents.

The Bake Off that gave me nightmares was after that guy made a fish shaped pastry and it looked like a horrible snake! So I dreamt it was slithering after me.

Hicky

oh yes, it took me awhile to post last night and in the meantime yours had gone up so I missed it.

I saw that ad for getting nhs presciptions delivered and it looks easy to do as it is done online. They order off GP for you and deliver it by post all free, for you. Here it is....

https://www.pharmacy2u.co.uk/

That is good your SIL enjoys your bread. Hope your Grandpa chapatis come out ok.

That is lucky you got ÂĢ12 off the shopping again, certainly not worth your OH struggling with heavy shopping now, especially with her bad knees.

Not a bad day today, met son for his lunch break and did a bit of food shopping.

BB was good last night with them all trying to work out who had done what with that coin game.

Have a good evening both xxx

I am watching Corrie then I am pleased to say those cute 4 year olds are back on tv with the elderly. Then BB.
