The most obvious drama series to remake in these times is Alan Bennett's Talking Heads and it's been announced that it's going ahead and will be shown on BBC later this year.

Jodie Comer in Her Big Chance (was Julie Walters)
Monica Dolan in The Shrine (new)
Martin Freeman in A Chip in the Sugar (was Alan Bennett himself)
Tamsin Greig in Nights in the Garden of Spain  (was Penelope Wilton)
Sarah Lancashire in An Ordinary Woman (new)
Lesley Manville in Bed Among the Lentils (was Maggie Smith)
Lucian Msamati in Playing Sandwiches (was David Haig)
Maxine Peake in Miss Fozzard Finds Her Feet (was Patricia Routledge)
Rochenda Sandall in The Outside Dog  (was Julie Walters)
Kristin Scott Thomas in The Hand of God  (was Eileen Atkins)
Imelda Staunton in A Lady of Letters (was Patricia Routledge)
Harriet Walter in Soldiering On (Stephanie Cole)

"A Cream Cracker under the Settee" and "Waiting for the Telegram", the two with Thora Hird aren't mentioned. I assume that's because remaking them would cause outrage. I donlt know if they will be reshown when the others are shown.

I can remember when I got my first camera. Pentax MX fully manual. Had loads in between that and digital. Fast lenses up in smoke overnight. Amateur Photographer was my rag

Can't rember what camera my father had when I was a child. I remember him going into a darkened room to develop his photographs back in the days before one sent off rolls of film to be processed.

All we know is that BBC One will show then in the coming months. I think they will publicise them nearer the time to the extent that it's unlikely people will miss them. Could be the main new drama series from the BBC this year so I would think huge publicity.

Good afternoon everyone

Well, the promised rain is here. It started sometime after 2am. It’s been raining ever since

One thing to say, the garden is looking good

Have a good day everyone but stay safe

Moonie

Moonie, hasn't stopped raining here today either. Could well have more rain falling today than the total for April through to yesterday. One of the M5 sliproads in the area was closed for a time this morning due to "extensive flooding"

Having just signed into my Virgin Media account I have noticed they have a new  sighting in protocol. They seemed to have added the ‘tick if your not a robot’ box. Never had that before

Moonie, I haven't had that with logging into my Virgin Media account. That's the phone/broadband log in rather than the mobile phone one which I don't have.

Some people seem to get that and can't get past it. If that happens try clearing your browser cache to see if that sorts it. If that doesn't you may need to identify the Virgin Media cookie/s and delete them as if they become corrupted that would cause problems.

I must apologise El. The mobile log-in is as it was before. It is the ’phone/broadband’ log-in that has changed to the ‘robot’ log-in

I can get past it El. It’s just that I thought it was a little strange it was different now

Good morning everyone we didn't get much rain yesterday just a drizzle, that could change as the week goes on.

Yes thank you Velvet all is well and I hope you are too. Momentous and exciting times for a Born Again Christian as we await the Rapture call. The Lord has been good to me and His presence is a great comfort to me.

Yogi, I'm glad that the clip was working for you this morning, not that it was particualrly interesting other than to UFO-ologists

"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." from Hamlet, of course.

That takes me back to school and Higher English, El.

Good morning everyone
Cold overcast morning here but dry for now
It’s looking like I will be putting my heating on again today

I hope you all slept well and have a good day but as always, stay safe

Moonie

Moonie, it's raining here. Lots of rain forecast locally for today and tomorrow (and a risk of thunderstorms tomorrow). Not warm today and my central heating came on for a time first thing.

I just looked at the weather forecast and it’s 80° to 95° in the next 3 hours here

The weather radar shows nothing but rain, rain, rain

Moonie, either the forecast is wrong, temperature's nothing like that, or it could be that those are the humidity levels which would make more sense
