Maybe you are getting use to it EL

No, it hasn't been anything like as bad as yesterday so far. I could feel the top of my computer desk vibrating due to the sound waves. They would have been using power drills through the wall so would have been over 100 decibels in my room so my hearing would have been damaged unless I had put in ear plugs etc or left the house. (power drills can be 130 decibels)

Yogi, I hope all went well

I think there's going to be lots of surface water here tomorrow. Thunderstorm warning in place until 9 tomorrow morning. Met Office weather symbols don't have any thundery symbols here during then. But they do for 11.00 and 13.00 tomorrow morning. So the warning period doesn't match the symbols

Rewatched that 1947 Nicholas Nickleby film last night. Good but not in the same league as David Lean's Dickens films.

Trivia point. The part of Mr Bray was played by George Relph, the father of Michael Relph who was a writer, producer and art director of a number of Ealing films.
The part of of Mr Bray's daughter Madeline was played by Jill Balcon, the daughter of Michael Balcon, the major film producer of Ealing films.
3 years later Jill Balcon married Cecil Day-Lewis and their son of course is Daniel.

Sends rocket to Yogi

As with Yogi and Moonie it's been raining here, Shorter queue outside M&S this morning so didn't have to wait in the rain. Just had a heavy shower here a few minutes ago so my timing worked well.

 Thanks for the rocket

I’m glad you got your timing right
