Good morning everyone
Very diluted Gonzalo weather here.
Skylark, poor Kia
Ros, I hope the inspection results in a positive outcome
Good morning everyone, we're getting quite a bit of weather here, I think someone might be out there throwing buckets of rain at the windows and I am definitely not thinking of venturing out. I couldn't even get the window open after my shower to let the steam out, the most I could achieve was to put it on the lock position.
I hope you all don't get too wet if anyone has to go out.
That's such bad timing Ros to have the inspection right after your half term break, I hope it doesn't stop you enjoying your time off.
Enjoy your day everyone
Squiggle, youe weather is a lot worse than it is here. There was some rain during the night but it hasn't rained since. It is breezy but nothing exceptional. The wind though is forecast to get stronger for the first part of the afternoon.
The weather warning for strong winds has been extended to cover everywhere,
Anyone who likes puzzles will like this article on the BBC website. It's about Martin Gardner who would have been 100 this week and has some of his puzzles.

It's quietened down a little now thank goodness velvet. You never know you might get someone else's washing blowing in, could be interesting I hope you are well, I think I'm fighting off a cold so I could eat a scabby horse at the moment, it always leaves me hungry.
Squiggle, I hope your cold clears up quickly if it does turn into one There seem to be colds around now. I had a client drop in her accounts papers this morning and declined to come in as she said she was coming down with a cold and her children and grandchildren have them.
It seems that those M&S Jaffa spheres are rather popular

squiggs - if you feel peckish have a nibble, if you feel tired have a nap, if you feel run down take it easy. That's life under marshall law in here because you've earned it Be good to yourself and sorry to hear you're fighting a ghastly cold Hope it clears up soon.
I hope the surprise for your daughter is still going to plan
Thanks thank goodness I have just had a diabetic check up and can relax a bit and have a nibble - I've certainly needed it today. I look like a little treasure today, I mean as if I've just been freshly dug up a bit grotty round the edges. I am hoping for an improvement tomorrow as I have 3 ladies relying on me for a lift on Thursday plus a daughter who's waiting for me to deliver the dog food for her, I buy it as she's on a limited income. Also I'm having some Berocca delivered tomorrow, the reviews are good and I feel in need of a boost so I thought I would try it for a wee while.
Thanks too EL I saw that in the paper today, you are a good judge of nibbles - I think I must pop along to M&S sometime and sample them
PS velvet the surprise is still going to plan, just checking my finances as to when I can get it
Squiggle, if you haven't already done so, Boots do advise people with diabetes to consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Berocca tablets though they contain artificial sweeteners rather than sugar.

Berocca themselves say they are safe for diabetics.
In a recent VAT tribunal hearing, the tribunal ruled that snowballs should be zero rated rather than standard rated.
i'm referring to the ones you eat rather than throw

Thanks velvet I will return the compliment
EL I only plan to take them for a little while and as my diabetes is well controlled by diet alone I think I can relax about them, but thank you for your concern I just think I need a bit of a boost at the moment, I'm feeling a little run down at the moment so for a short while it might make a difference.
Squiggle, I hope those tablets help you
Thanks EL
Hello everyone, been out all day, just getting GD sorted. Will catch up with you all tomorrow. Have a good evening

Perhaps your mention of them has started a Jaffa Sphere stampede, El.
Velvet, I hope your washing didn't end up in a different postcode.
Squiggle, I hope the tablets give you the boost you need.
Skylark, sorry to have missed you.
Evening Yogi
Evening Velvet. Did you manage to keep your washing on the line?

Of course I did.
Only problem is the lines gone
Hope you're doing okay
I feel okay, thanks.
Do you have any travels coming up?

Think we're going up to Cupes on Thursday. Dunno about the weekend..
I hope the weather will be better by Thursday. There's an icy wind blowing here tonight.
Is The Boss going with you?

Yep, tend to go everywhere together.
Great that you make sure she gets out and about, and good to have the company. I love the relationship you two have.
In stark contrast, I saw an elderly lady at the hospital tonight. She was with her middle aged daughter and was telling her daughter that she was really worried about the tests the consultant wanted her to have. Instead of giving her some reassurance, the daughter just mumbled "Hmmm" and ignored her.
I wanted to go over and give her the hug she obviously needed.
The three of us mum, sis and me are as thick as thieves Yogi. They keep me going
Aye I know what you're saying, values aren't what they used to be or they haven't been taught.
I'm glad to hear it.
You are absolutely right. Sad, isn't it?
Love and hugs too everyone
Sorry Moonie, I got the Will Robinson message just as I was about to reply to you.
Love and hugs to you too. Hope you are taking good care of yourself?
hi in here
Hi Ros, hope things are well with you.

Which songs/hymns are you practicing for Advent?
I'm looking forward to IAC. I seem to have cut back on my reality tv this year but I love Ant and Dec.
It was so callous, I wanted to kick her too.
The wee lady said goodbye to everyone as she was leaving - probably more chance of the other patients talking to her than her daughter.
I came in to post the same, I'm getting sleepy too.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, Summer, Velvet, Ros and Moonie.
Good morning everyone.
It's too dark outside to know what the weather is like, apart from saying it is dry.
Getting ready for PB's arrival. I doubt I'll be back today.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone
On the cool side outside today in my area but nuch less windy than yesterday and generally dry.
Yogi, I hope you have a pleasant day with PB
Good morning everyone, I am so pleased the wind has died down a little, and like you EL, I think the forecast is dry for today at least.
Velvet that sounds like such a strong bond between yourself, your mum and your sister I really envy you, I miss my sister so so much, she was more like a mum to me being 10 years older and my first memory is of her.
Yogi I hope PB is back to form again and you will all have a lovely day, and possibly an outing too.
Nice to see moonie able to pop in, and Skylark and Ros too, not forgetting our lovely Sweet Summer we just need pirate now
Enjoy your day everyone
PS Nearly forgot, that poor wee lady, she sounds so unappreciated I wish I could give her a hug.
Squiggle, had your cold materialised or was it one of those which vanished ?
Summer, I hope your alarm installation goes smoothly
I'm working on client work which has come in while I was working on that big job. I'm busy but not snowed under.
I'm fighting it off EL, I feel a bit better this morning. I do take echinacea which does help to boost your immune system and so far so good. I've been out clearing leaves which still managed to find their way into the pond despite it being netted and have half finished polishing the car, I thought a dose of hard work and fresh air would do me the power of good. I didn't want to just give into it and let everyone down tomorrow. I've got 2 motor bike wheels to drop off now for my youngest grandson luckily he is coming over to put them in the boot and take them out again at the other end. I had no idea they were on the way, he never said, just asked his mum to ask me if any parcels had arrived when I was talking to her. Grandsons eh?
Sorry to hear you have to go into work on your day off Summer, but I know your colleague would do the same for you.
