Good morning everyone, we're getting quite a bit of weather here, I think someone might be out there throwing buckets of rain at the windows and I am definitely not thinking of venturing out. I couldn't even get the window open after my shower to let the steam out, the most I could achieve was to put it on the lock position.

I hope you all don't get too wet if anyone has to go out.

That's such bad timing Ros to have the inspection right after your half term break, I hope it doesn't stop you enjoying your time off.

Enjoy your day everyone

Squiggle, youe weather is a lot worse than it is here. There was some rain during the night but it hasn't rained since. It is breezy but nothing exceptional. The wind though is forecast to get stronger for the first part of the afternoon.

The weather warning for strong winds has been extended to cover everywhere,

squiggs - if you feel peckish have a nibble, if you feel tired have a nap, if you feel run down take it easy. That's life under marshall law in here because you've earned it     Be good to yourself and sorry to hear you're fighting a ghastly cold      Hope it clears up soon.

I hope the surprise for your daughter is still going to plan

Thanks thank goodness I have just had a diabetic check up and can relax a bit and have a nibble - I've certainly needed it today.  I look like a little treasure today, I mean as if I've just been freshly dug up a bit grotty round the edges.   I am hoping for an improvement tomorrow as I have 3 ladies relying on me for a lift on Thursday plus a daughter who's waiting for me to deliver the dog food for her, I buy it as she's on a limited income. Also I'm having some Berocca delivered tomorrow, the reviews are good and I feel in need of a boost so I thought I would try it for a wee while.

Thanks too EL I saw that in the paper today, you are a good judge of nibbles - I think I must pop along to M&S sometime and sample them

PS velvet the surprise is still going to plan, just checking my finances as to when I can get it

Berocca themselves say they are safe for diabetics.

Thanks velvet I will return the compliment

EL I only plan to take them for a little while and as my diabetes is well controlled by diet alone I think I can relax about them, but thank you for your concern I just think I need a bit of a boost at the moment, I'm feeling a little run down at the moment so for a short while it might make a difference.

Of course I did.

Only problem is the lines gone

Hope you're doing okay

I feel okay, thanks.

Do you have any travels coming up?

Think we're going up to Cupes on Thursday. Dunno about the weekend..

I hope the weather will be better by Thursday. There's an icy wind blowing here tonight.

Is The Boss going with you?

Yep, tend to go everywhere together.

Great that you make sure she gets out and about, and good to have the company. I love the relationship you two have.

In stark contrast, I saw an elderly lady at the hospital tonight. She was with her middle aged daughter and was telling her daughter that she was really worried about the tests the consultant wanted her to have. Instead of giving her some reassurance, the daughter just mumbled "Hmmm" and ignored her.

I wanted to go over and give her the hug she obviously needed.

It was so callous, I wanted to kick her too.

The wee lady said goodbye to everyone as she was leaving - probably more chance of the other patients talking to her than her daughter.

Good morning everyone, I am so pleased the wind has died down a little, and like you EL, I think the forecast is dry for today at least.

Velvet that sounds like such a strong bond between yourself, your mum and your sister I really envy you, I miss my sister so so much, she was more like a mum to me being 10 years older and my first memory is of her.

Yogi I hope PB is back to form again and you will all have a lovely day, and possibly an outing too.

Nice to see moonie able to pop in, and Skylark and Ros too, not forgetting our lovely Sweet Summer we just need pirate now

Enjoy your day everyone

PS Nearly forgot, that poor wee lady, she sounds so unappreciated I wish I could give her a hug.

Good morning all a pleasant start here with dark clouds heading our way.

I've got workmen here fitting an alarm in the house & garage, so I've been tidying up and trying to stay out of the way.
I have to go I to work as soon as I can too because one of my colleagues is unwell

Yogi I hope you have a lovely PB day

What is everyone else up to?
~Sparkling Summer~

I'm fighting it off EL, I feel a bit better this morning.  I do take echinacea which does help to boost your immune system and so far so good.  I've been out clearing leaves which still managed to find their way into the pond despite it being netted and have half finished polishing the car, I thought a dose of hard work and fresh air would do me the power of good. I didn't want to just give into it and let everyone down tomorrow.  I've got 2 motor bike wheels to drop off now for my youngest grandson luckily he is coming over to put them in the boot and take them out again at the other end.  I had no idea they were on the way, he never said, just asked his mum to ask me if any parcels had arrived when I was talking to her.  Grandsons eh?

Sorry to hear you have to go into work on your day off Summer, but I know your colleague would do the same for you.
