My brother has arrived a bit on the late side due to the train. He has brought some Thorntons chocolate cake bars and some of their toffee cake bars which we've had before and they are nice.

Evening just a quickie as I'm going to run a bath in a mo. I had a busy day, which included running Bramble to the vets. She's been a little off colour since tues/wed and went off her food, which is nothing unusual but she wouldn't even eat any rice. Then, she threw up yellow bile this morning!
It's a typical case of terrier has eaten something disgusting and upset her tummy (again!!!) and she would have recovered by herself in a couple of days, but I thought some medicine was in order because she's taking a long road trip with me this weekend.
The vet gave her a shot of antibiotics and said I did the right thing, better safe than sorry.. She's perked up a bit already

Norty Bramble She is always eating what she shouldn't it was a good idea to take her to the vet though Hopefully the antibiotics will help here get better quicker bless

Poor Bramble! I guess dogs don't associate their upset tummies with whatever disgusting thing they have eaten, so they just keep doing it over and over again. 

I think you did the right thing getting some medicine for her, especially if you have a long trip planned soon. You don't want her being sick in the car.

As long as  she keeps bouncing back, that's the main thing

My day was quite busy. I'm just lounging about now.

My day has been okay fankoo I been out several time. The weather has been sunny nearly all day with a gentle warm breeze

 I might conk out.

We have had weird weather today - rain, sunshine , snow, hailstones and a strong, icy wind.

My eldest and middle son are due to visit this afternoon, and I think middle son and DiL will be staying for dinner.

It's cloudy here at present but it should get sunny later and be a nice day. Sunday looks another good day with blue sky much of the time.

 

Summer, I hope Bramble has fully recovered and that you have a good road trip wherever you are going

 

It was the chocolate cake bars yesterday evening and the toffee ones this evening. They are nice.

 

The Hitchcock film The Trouble with Harry is on BBC2 today starting at 1pm. This is rarely shown on television so it's likely that some of you will never have seen it. It's a slightly black comedy. A corpse is discovered (Harry), what should the locals do with the body as they have differing ideas. It's a PG certificate film so nothing gruesome. It's not a typical Hitchcock film and is quite light in touch, It's set in Vermont and the countryside shots make this possibly the most attractive landscape used in any of Hitchcock's films,

It started of cloudy and overcast here but the sun is trying to struggle through now. Shopping done. So all set for an afternoon of sport

Squiggle, the wind is quite noticeable here as well. The Met Office forecast does show it being quite gusty today, sort of 30mph coming from the south so not as cold as if it was coming from the north or east.

 

Yogi, I hope it dries up for you.
