Did anyone watch The Last Kingdom series on BBC2? Wonder how it compares to G.O.T.

No Rog and I have not yet seen GOT either - I'm so behind the times

Me either, but given I don't have Sky

Neither do I

I even don't know if I'd be arsed enough to do that!

Its a good series Sprout - I didn't think I'd like it but I did. Good characters in it and lots of moments where your face is like this

Like I say.  I'm not really bothered. The DVD's/Blu Rays will have come down way much in price should I ever want to watch them by the time I get round to it  In fact....they'll be in the bargain bin

In 1975, the Bay City Rollers were on the brink of global superstardom. The most successful chart act in the UK with a unique look and sound were about to become the biggest thing since the Beatles. Featuring interviews with Les McKeown and other members of the classic Bay City Roller line-up, and using previously unseen footage shot by members of the band and its entourage, this is the tale of five lads from Edinburgh who became the world's first international teen idols and turned the whole world tartan.

Can't find the EastEnders thread, so am posting this here...

Genuine conversation from tonight's episode. The scene is during Kim and Vincent's housewarming party, with Kim talking to Masood and Tamwar while wearing a "Sexy Santa" costume":

Kim: I keep forgetting who I’ve shown everything to. Have I shown you everything that needs to be seen?

Masood: I don’t think so.

Kim: You know what, I would show you my downstairs, but I’ve got the decorators in.

[Tamwar raises an eyebrow.]

Masood: Mmmâ€Ķ

Kim: It’s really nice though, very spacious.

Masood: Ahem. I can imagine.

[Masood makes his excuses and leavesâ€Ķ]

I think the scriptwriters were having a non too subtle joke with the viewing pubic.

Just for a moment, though, I could have sworn I was back watching a sitcom in the 70s...

Rollermania - If you missed it, it's on again at 1 am.

Might watch that Fluffy . I'm slightly too young [ only a year or two ] to have caught them - but remember being told one of my cousins went round in  the gear. The aul ones in the family were shockifed!!

Watched it - didn't realise how huge they were, and that they were No.1 in America. Its shocking how badly they were ripped off by management

I should remember them [ as I remember Brotherhood of Man winning Eurovision - 1976 when I was five ] . Maybe the Rollers were for for older girls. Also I wasn't allowed to watch Top of The Pops!

Sad story though.

Someone told me about a prog that was on last night that was quite interesting ...and funny. Called that's so last century, mainly about kids getting to grips with old technology like Sony Walkmans and things like that   It was on C4 last night but I believe it's repeated on four 7 tomorrow night and at various times throughout the weekend. I might record and give it a watch

Did you notice my deliberate spelling mistake.

At the moment it's all about catching up on t'Bridge. We also fit in University Challenge, Only Connect, Fargo, Prey, and the much better at double entendres than EastEnders, Coronation Street.

Speaking of which, did you hear about the young lady who went into the cocktail bar and asked for a Double Entendre? The Barman gave her one.
