The software update seems to happened and this site is back up.
It's the home page which has changed:

In the menu, "Forums" is now "Topics"
"Clips" is now "Reources" not that there's ever been many,

Reactions to topics etc are now listed in popularity order with the one used most being first.

I forgot about it! It was only when I opened the site and found myself staring at a different looking page, that I remembered.

By the way, if you look at the home page, on the right hand side, there's a list of Featured threads (=stickied) That''s not by forum but from newest to oldest. I am using a computer and so if you are using something like a mobile you may not see this list.
Underneath that is Upcoming Events which lists the forthcoming birthdays and shows the next ten so goes further than the ones listed at the top of the page.

That must be because the screen isn't wide enough to be able to show those side panels

Well, if you're on mobile, you don't get the widgets, that's true.

But you still get the new content scroll on the home page, and THAT'S cool, isn't it? 

I just made the "secondary font" a tiny bit darker so you can read it better on mobile.

It took me a long time to remember how to do a screenshot on my ipad, but you hold the sleep/wake button, and then press the home button at the same time. You'll find the screenshot in your photos.

Lori I have tried your suggestion and the screenshot I take is the same as yours. It’s not in my photos though 

Okay, I googled and came up with, press Top button and Volume at the same time and I found the screenshot in ‘photos’

That’s all I can see too Lori ....no matter which way I turn my iPad Pro I can’t see what you screen shot up there LoriMy ipad is the large screen ...12.5 version
