There have been some changes made to this forum overnight.
Until now anyone who created a thread could then delete it later even if replies had been posted. That has changed. Once a reply has been posted it is no longer possible for the person who created the thread to delete it. If no replies have been made they can still delete it. Anyone who has created a thread where there have been replies will now need to ask one of the moderators to delete it.
Everyone's profile now has a wall. If you click on someone's user name under their avatar you go to their profile. You will see that there is now a wall page. To make a post there either click on the wall link and click on Post to Wall at the top of the wall or click on Post to Wall option on the right of the page. Tou cannot post a comment on your own wall though once someone has made a comment on your wall you can reply to it. Please note that the wall is public and is not a substitute for private messages/dialogs.
If you do not want a wall you can disable yours by Manage - Your Personal Settings and put a tick in the Disable Comment Wall on my profile box.
Another new feature is the ability to block individual users.
When you "block: a member, all of the following happens:
- The blocked person can no longer invite you to a private dialog or post to your profile wall (see above).
- Replies and comments the blocked person makes will be collapsed/hidden by default. You can click on their reply though to see what they said.
- Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
The best way to block someone is to click on the "gingerbread man" icon next to their name. This will trigger the mini-profile popup for the person, where you will see a new "Block Member" option. Click on that to block (or un-block).
You can also manage all of your blocked members on Manage > Your Block List.
