I've JUST loaded a new quilt top on the machine for quilting. This is a quilt "reclamation project" for a friend, on a quilt that her mother made years ago. It was in pretty rough shape, so I took it apart, replaced the torn fabrics, and it's getting new backing and batting. I'll post a picture of it on the machine when I've made a little progress on it, but here's a picture of the completed quilt top.

This is to be a cardigan. The  back will be the lacy part only.

That's just a sample, to see what the pattern looks like, but that is the actual yarn colour I'll be using.

Oooo I like those colours EFFT ...and I like the pattern too .

Baz

It's a colour change yarn, so there's no great effort involved.

Sure, but the colors are still right up my alley.

Also, have I mentioned how much I like colors that are named after food?

Lori

This one you've seen before, but......I was getting annoyed at how much it was distorting, so I ripped it all out and started again. Currently it measures 24 by 30 inches.

Pretty!

If I remember rightly, that's a baby blanket?

Yes, car blanket, picnic blanket, beach blanket, 'snuggle up on the couch watching TV' blanket, as required!

Still got a few more rounds to add.

I'd better show you this one next as you got a sneak preview iñ the previous pic. It will be a blanket - not taken any measurements yet, but it will be single-bed size - approximately. Tis pic is of it folded in 4, widthwise. Bottom at the right and it will grow up from the left.

Sections one and two are varied combinations of Double Crochet (US terms) and 'boxes' - filet crochet. the dividers are variations of rows of straight DC stitches and rows of 'Kisses'. DC in stitch 2 then in stitch 1, DC in stitch 4 then in stitch 3 and so on. Section 3 is what is called the V stitch. 1DC, 1 chain, 1 DC all in same stich, skip 2, then 1 DC, 1 chain, 1DC in third stitch. Then just repeat to end of row. Subsequent rows place the V-stitch in the chain space of the preceding row.

That's definitely true here, except it's fabric. My stash requires its own room.

Also, my husband jokes that, even though I have lots of knitting needles, anytime I start a new project it requires a new set of needles.

I dare not buy any, I have my mum’s, nans, mother in laws, aunts and my own!

I have knitting patterns with prices on that are predecimalisation!  Knitted items that have been in and out of fashion several times with matinee coats that have been made for me, my children and grandchildren 😂
