This is why I have about 6 plastic bins with partial quilt tops in them...to mention All The Knitting Projects.

I purchased from Amazon a large plastic crate on wheels and lidded. It has a capacity of 145 litres and can still hardly hold everything!
I have more than one of those. 
But we won't tell Mr. Lori about that...

In the end I didn't have to sneak the 2nd crate in, as Mr Fluffy Thing himself suggested I could probably do with a 2nd one.
I jumped at the chance, of course! 
Was it a Christmas gift? 
An earlyish one, as we had to take advantage of a special offer, but it did actually arrive shortly before Christmas which let us stash away the overflow from the 1st one and tidy up for Christmas.

My sister and her very handy husband are currently building a single shelf up high on two walls of my sewing room so that I can store multiple clear bins with color-sorted fabric scraps. It’s my birthday gift from them. 😬
Sounds handy. What I'm intending to do with the two crates is have one storing future projects and the other storing current stuff. As the current projects get finished any left-over yarn will go in the other crate and a 'future' project will be moved to the 'current projects' crate.

Thank you Lori, there is a local knitting and crochet group who make these hats as well as bootees, cardigans for premature babies and small comfort blankets, they are then delivered to Lincolnshire neo natal units
