That's a pretty stitch!
Sections one and two are varied combinations of Double Crochet (US terms) and 'boxes' - filet crochet. the dividers are variations of rows of straight DC stitches and rows of 'Kisses'. DC in stitch 2 then in stitch 1, DC in stitch 4 then in stitch 3 and so on. Section 3 is what is called the V stitch. 1DC, 1 chain, 1 DC all in same stich, skip 2, then 1 DC, 1 chain, 1DC in third stitch. Then just repeat to end of row. Subsequent rows place the V-stitch in the chain space of the preceding row.

Sooooo cute, machel! They look so good!
Next picture is the start of a shawl. It is crocheted on a larger hook to produce a lacier fabric. It is worked from the longest row down to a peak.
Attachments
It's 39 inches wide and after 5 rows of V-stitch it is 28 inches long. Got quite a long way to go still, then there's a border to be added.

Nice one EFFT
That's definitely true here, except it's fabric. My stash requires its own room.
Also, my husband jokes that, even though I have lots of knitting needles, anytime I start a new project it requires a new set of needles.

Sounds like you might need a room just for your needles!
I have knitting patterns with prices on that are predecimalisation! Knitted items that have been in and out of fashion several times with matinee coats that have been made for me, my children and grandchildren ð

Might be quite a while yet - still got part 4 squares to finish, and part 5 squares to finish, and the bag to do, and then join all the pieces together, so don't go planning any picnics anytime soon!

I tried for a photo of the unfolded blanket, but the colours were coming out all weird.
Hopefully I'll be able to get a successful photo of the completely unfolded blanket once it's finished.
Only 5 more colours to go!

I'll not bore you with a daily picture, but the challenge is to crochet every day in November. So I've turned another corner but didn't manage any crocheting yesterday. However I got over 100 stitches done on Sunday!

Owls!! So cute!! ð
It's for my sister who loves owls. Just to fill in the background (snow white) and add a few more twiddly bits!
And trim the edges of course.

I take it it will only be about 2' x 3' !
Haha, nooooâĶitâll have to be a bit bigger than that.
What I learned about the king size quilt is that itâs too hard to keep the back straight on the roller when itâs that big, and itâs subject to tucks where the quilting is.
Not my best work, but at least itâs for us, and not for an auction or a gift.

Good point Lori
So maybe I should make another set in another colour and the 'other' hat and jacket can go with this blanket and this hat and jacket can go with the 'other' blanket so neither baby will get lost!
Perfect!! ðĪĢðĪĢ

That's lovely, Fluffy! Love the stripes!!
It's a self-striping yarn and the stripes seem to have arranged themselves into suitable positions!
