After the thread on the Chelsea Flower Show, it was thought that a thread for Gardener's World might be a liked idea.
So here's a trial thread.....and see how we go!

I'm having to catch up on the iPlayer anyway, so I'll get tonight's GW there as well. Things are a bit topsy-turvey here at the moment, so lots of stuff is queuing up to be watched on the iPlayer.

Yes!!!! A Gardeners World thread. I've moved on from BB & now series link gardening shows. I love Monty.
Not that I've done much in the garden this year, but I have managed to grow these beauties in pots. It's an Allium Universe. The head of it is about the size of a small football.

Next Friday the 16th is a major episode as it's the 50th anniversary of Gardeners' World.
One of the early presenters was Percy Thrower. This is a very old gardening programme by him. It seems to be made before Gardeners' World started. the Huntlet Film Archives date it as 1950 on their site. You will probably need to increase the volume to be able to hear him as it's a lot quieter than normal.

Trouble with those show gardens is that you can't replicate them cos the plants are always naturally out at the same time

We inherited one in our last house (in the garden, not the house). The boys were 6 and 3 with youngest son on the way, so we had to be very careful - even though it wasn't that big.
Bring them in where? I don't have a greenhouse any more.
