But in Scotland we're getting The Beechgrove Garden tonight.

I know, what's that all about?

I can still watch it on Virgin Channel 852

I think it's just once a month or quarter - the rest of the time we'll get GW as well as our English non Scottish cohorts.

Yes!!!! A Gardeners World thread.  I've moved on from BB & now series link gardening shows.  I love Monty.

 Monty is my gardening guru.

Not that I've done much in the garden this year, but I have managed to grow these beauties in pots.  It's an Allium Universe.  The head of it is about the size of a small football.

That's a whopper, Cinds.

Next Friday the 16th is a major episode as it's the 50th anniversary of Gardeners' World.

One of the early presenters was Percy Thrower. This is a very old gardening programme by him. It seems to be made before Gardeners' World started. the Huntlet Film Archives date it as 1950 on their site. You will probably need to increase the volume to be able to hear him as it's a lot quieter than normal.

Thanks El, I'll check that out later.

I like water in a garden. Wish I had room for a pond again.

Bit dodgy with small kids though

We inherited one in our last house (in the garden, not the house). The boys were 6 and 3 with youngest son on the way, so we had to be very careful - even though it wasn't that big.

We emptied our little bucket when my granddaughter was little
