Norwich City 0 - 0 Sheffield Wednesday

Got to say I'm surprised we got a point at a team which I think will get automatic promotion, especially with the likely loss of Fernando Forestieri who did not travel today. The FF situation is unclear but I would be sad to lose a cracking player and one who can change games.

Will need to watch the tellybox highlights (if there are any going by the BBC write- up)

Four points against to ex-Premiership clubs is no bad going. I'm cautiously optimistic of another good season.

Norwich were fairly cack in the second half.  Sheff W closed down really well and it wasn't helped by the fact that Norwich couldn't string two passes together.

Sheff W were pretty good in possession without really being a great threat.  Norwich weren't a great threat either.  Overall, Sheff W were slightly the better side without really looking like they'd win the match.

Thanks for the review Carnelian, that's the impression I get from reading online reviews, listening to our local radio and watching the highlights on Channel 5, although they showed what I thought were some decent Norwich chances. We have become a more resilient side over the last season and Carlos Carvalhal seems to not worry too much about not being in possession of the ball. I think the fact Fernando was missing de-stabilised us a shade and that's why we were probably not as threatening in front of goal, Atdhe Nuhiu is not the most prolific of strikers!

Just be careful what you wish for. This Division is as bad as I thought. So far we have had one home game, with the best part of a month until the next one, and two away games played at inappropriate times on a Sunday. We had played five games by this time last season including a fantastic away trip to Sheffield.

After yesterday's televised fiasco hopefully they won't put us on the box again and we can have more 3pm Saturday events!

I am just watching ICT v Celtic

What an absolute disgrace the referee is

ICT player blatantly barged in the are no penalty. Not even a free kick

Up the other end, Celtic player falls over after what was an innocuous tackle. Free kick

ICT player through, goal scoring opportunity, only the keeper infront of him. Blatantly and I mean blatantly pushed in the back in the penalty box from behind. Stone blind certain penalty. Not only was the penalty not give but the ICT player wasn't booked for "simulation" as he should have been if the referee considered it was not a penalty.

What an utter joke referees are today, north as well as south of the border

I saw it on the news this morning and it looked super dodgy to me. When will they learn?

To be honest I'm not one bit bothered, IMO he was an 'old school' choice and we need a manager which is 21st Century and has a forward thinking outlook. England need to go back to the drawing board (a bit like Germany did) and rebuild with a plan for continual development and improvement and a style which is more European.

Anyway, looks to me like he needs to go to West Ham and sort out their issues on field.
