And the Will Buckley money.

2 of their best players have gone. They'll need to seriously spend the money wisely on replacements if they are to stay in the Championship.

Well there's no loyalty in football but Hernandez has said himself he intends to stay at United and plans to repay the club for giving him a chance and his rise to fame and I personally believe the guy.  As for the future, who knows what will happen but he does seem a genuine and humble person.

Saw a lovely video on Youtube of a disabled girl crying because she's a fan and got to meet him plus have his autograph. They idolise him there as expected!

Walker was immense, perhaps Spurs will have second thoughts on sending him to QPR now and play him next season?. You'll probably disagree with me because he's a United player but I thought Chris Smalling stood out too!

As for Henderson and Jones, well not their fault the prices are inflated but they're only young and can improve in time.

Jones looked a bit uncomfortable in possession. Henderson was just a passenger. Β£20 million

Jones does have potential, maybe his current move situation is distracting him and I noticed he hoofed it out a bit, good understanding with Smalling though.

Henderson didn't do much at all I agree but he'll have to up the ante.

Alex McLeish, my arse

It's all very well Birmingham moaning about wanting compensation "if" we get him, complaining about him wanting to switch sides, etc.

Do they think WE want the bugger, either? Why the hell would WE want a manager who got his club relegated TWICE?

They can bliddy well keep him. Β£5 million compo? They should be paying US to take him!

I'm totally baffled by the whole story Deman, I was watching SSN when the story broke and Mr Pink said "he's going to Villa".

McLeish is trying to say that the board were too restrictive but he has spent Β£40 million since they took over and got the team relegated.  Villa are a club I have a very soft spot for after the Baggies and I hate to see them being made a laughing stock in the national press.  They are a grand old club (as are we) and deserve better that this circus.  I hope that Randy Learner sees sense and does not alienate the Villa fans, as so far he has been a good chairman to them, though I do have to say, they had a good idea that Houllier wouldn't be returning to the club after his illness and should have had a new appointment in mind.  I texted a friend earlier today asking him if he thought that on reflection Steve McClaren wouldn't have been such a bad appointment and he said he thought that it would have been better than McLeish.

Remember Ron Saunders anyone?  The last time a manager crossed the city, it did not end well.

This Baggie fan is totally on your side and hope that it is resolved soon.

Why?  Has he signed for Bolton?  (only joking)

Well, we could do with someone to collect the cones after training.

But no, he's walking out on being the captain of a Premier League club and Β£60,000 a week to sign for West Ham...

I'd have thought he'd have been snapped up by any Premiership club (apart from the top few, that is)
