I actually do have that holiday feeling! I'd better make the most of it, my next one is a working one. I'm off to Germany in half term, to our partner school. Would help if I could speak a word of German.

Hi Scatts  How did it go ? 

I felt a lot less nervous today.  When we sat down for the numeracy test, a guy asked me to come in the other room and he asked me if I knew what I'd failed on, as I'd done well on all the other things.  It did turn out it was what I thought, I can handle fractions and percentages/ratios, anything you like, but give me some stick prisoners to count accurately and I go to pieces  Anyway, I'm hoping I did better today - we will see

How has your day been apart from the airing cupboard cleaning?

  I don't blame you - everybody thought it was hilarious  It was just plain stupid I know, I know!  I think I was so concerned about the seemingly 'difficult' stuff, that counting stick men seemed very unimportant...but obviously quite important in a prison

I should find out results on Tuesday and then they have to do weeks of vetting!

My Dad was a prison officer. My older sister did it too for a couple of years before becoming a solicitor.
