The Radio Times blurb:

There are only four bakers left in the sweltering hot The Great British Bake Off tent and, as is fitting for a semi-final, they’re all former star bakers.

But their first patisserie-based challenge is a stinker: they must make 24 choux buns topped with what the reviewer thought they described as crackling. Isn’t that something to do with roast pork? In fact it’s craquelin, a super-sweet crispy topping. “I’m having a very, very bad morning,” wails one baker. “I’ve done it wrong, wrong, wrong!”

They’re then faced with the most complicated technical challenge that’s ever been set on GBBO (and it’s yet another cake that nobody – apart from a few Belgian bakers – will be familiar with), before attempting a sculptural centrepiece made from meringue.

Your heart will be in your mouth (almost a ) as you watch meringues crack, chocolate melt in the heat and Noel Fielding doing a very scary impression of Prue Leith.

And then there were three.
