Thanks for the latest scoop El Loro
That's a weird combo Haven't seen much of the first, don't like the second, ok with the third.
El Loro posted:Roger, as you say, a weird combo particularly Noel Fielding
Yeah, exactly! What the......
That is a strange combo. I know Prue from another cooking show. Noel really needs to stick to what he is good at (comedy). Not a fan of Sandi either.
But my points are somewhat mute as I will not be watching now that I know of Murdoch's involvement.

Agreed Rog but then again I don't watch it anyway
Hope all is well with you
Noel Fielding ???
A case of agents pulling strings no doubt
I'm amazed John Bishop isn't taking it over

Hi Moonie not so bad, thanks for asking. Hope all is well with you too? xx
Noel bloody Fielding! sorry.... still can't get my head round it Worst casting since Chris Evans in Top Gear?
I love Noel - he can be soooo funny
I hope he has a great rapport with Sandi Thingy-ma-jig (who has an impossibly posh voice). Hope he is the funny guy to her straight gay guy

I was hoping for Miranda Hart or Ronni Anconna
Saint posted:I was hoping for Miranda Hart or Ronni Anconna
Yeah! Miranda would've been perfect! Especially with Sandi.
Did you get your pc problems sorted out then Sainty?
Haven't got it sorted cos it will mean a week out of action and ÂĢ200 at least.
It's laziness really as I love being on line and miss it sooo much.
Must bite the bullet
Miranda acting like an over excited school girl around cake
Prue - the disapproving gym mistress
Could have been classic

Are you using your smartphone or something?
Would a root scan help? [takes hours, I did one with Avast I think ] That repaired the problem. Or System Restore.

It's been for a massive repair lately which hasn't resolved the problem.
They say it's a corrupted CPU or something and will need replacing
Nice to see you contributing Mr Moons

Oh, bad luck Saint
Hi Rog I think it should be more about the bakers than the presenters...Mel and Sue were very much quietly in the background making the odd quip , don't want too much Personality running around detracting from the real action...and I think we loved it because it was gentle and encouraging rather than rip it apart judging. ...we shall see

Hi Amy yes - you summed up its charm perfectly.
The late Victoria Wood [still get a lump in my throat thinking of her ] and Julie Walters would have been my dream team... though they would've completely stolen the show
Sometimes a programme just gets the balance right. Once that changes it may not be the same. There is nothing wrong with saying "I liked it as it was, I'm not keen on the new format, so I will not watch anymore". It's not compulsory to watch a show as long as it lasts. Tastes change.
I did not watch any of the CBB that recently finished, I did not contribute to the forum at all. Did not miss it one bit.
I like Sandi....can't stand Pru ...and never heard of the other guy ...hope that helps

I saw that too Katty ...don't blame them.....sounds like the bottle of a barrel scraping to me
Josh Widdicombe would have been grate <<
Yes, this is what we need, a mad clown/joker hybrid fronting up the show.
It starts on Tuesday 29th at 20.00. 75 minutes long so that it's the same length as before plus ad breaks. 12 contestants, 10 episodes, same format - signature challenge, technical challenge and showstopper, and same tent as before.
First episode is cake week and the showstopper is an illusion cake (I don't think that means that Fielding is going to be made to vanish though).
I'm conflicted about whether to watch or not .....I always enjoy the thread , but not sure I can stomach the new presenters
I suggest watching at least the first two episodes to give it a chance - the newspaper reviews seem to be positive.

That's ok but some of us don't have the luxury of doing something more interesting

"I shot an arrow in the air, they fell to earth I know not where". Apologies to Henry Longfellow's "The Arrow and the Song" and to "Kind Hearts and Coronets". Refers to the opening scene in the first episode on Tuesday.

I do the poetry - than you El Rolo
Meanwhile i'm getting really excited over a ruddy cookery programme
Still should have been Miranda Hart presenting it with her 'moist' innuendo referrals

I was just flicking around for something to watch and landed on Channel 4, before I moved away to another channel not peddling Murdoch offerings I noticed that Pru has a 'Ball Gag' around her neck !!!
I wonder if she has escaped from Mary's sex dungeon.
See you all somewhere else, possibly, maybe.
