Nor me, can't stand the taste

I can't either. Though I did have some Baileys Irish cream with ice cream once and that was very very nice though not in large quantities,

I hope you have a great evening and enjoy yourself. Take care and will see you tomorrow

Moonie

Evening all.

Had a perfect day with PB, who is a little ray of sunshine. My back has been a lot better today so I was able to get lots of snuggles and cuddles. Middle son and DiL were also visiting and were able to get some snuggles too. PB has everyone wrapped around her little finger.

Moonie, I don't mind if you stick whisky in your tea. You can have my share too, as I hate the stuff! lol

Summer, enjoy your evening out.

All of my smileys have disappeared and this is my second attempt at posting. I wonder if Seattle are tinkering?

Everything seems okay now, maybe it was just a momentary blip.

Yes, I hate whisky, and I hate porridge - maybe I'm only a kiddy-on Scot!

Last week, Mr Yogi and I did a quiz, entitled 'How Scottish Are You?' I got 9 out of 10 and Mr Yogi got 8! I told him he has lived up here so long, he is now a honorary Scot. I'm not sure he was too pleased about that.

He uses a lot of Scottish words, although he still has his English accent. It's a strange mix.

That does sound very strange Yogi

How is he with Scottish slang, which bamboozles me sometime?

He knows almost as much as I do.

Good morning everyone

Quite a lot of rain overnight here, blue sky at present. Tomorrow daytime and night will be very very wet and windy and Tuesday will be bad for many. The newspapers are doing their best to cheer people up by saying that Christmas will be ruined with flooding and travel disruption. The low pressure reading is forecast to drop to 934 to the north west of Scotland. This is exceptionally low, the lowest ever recorded was 925.6 in 1884. This does seem as if this is going to be a very serious storm,

Good morning everyone. Weather is windy, up here. There has been so much rain recently that my back garden resembles a swamp.

That weather forecast is depressing, El. Let's hope the forecasters have got it wrong!

Summer, I hope you enjoyed your night out.

Love the newly hatched baby owl.

Out and about with hubby, see you later. Have a good day, everyone.

Good morning I've had 4 hours sleep but can't sleep any longer, I think it's christmas adrenaline!

Yogi I'm very pleased to see that your back has eased off a bit and that you had a lovely day with PB I hope it's a bit better today too

I fell asleep in the car on route to the party last night, but a few diet cokes woke me up and we had a lovely evening. We ended up being unexpectedly entertained by an excellent magician!

Good morning everyone, you should have seen the weather we have just had   The sky went black, the wind suddenly increased massively and then we had hail.  In the middle of it a brave little rainbow struggled against a black sky backdrop.  It's all gone now and the sky is blue, amazing.

Sounds like your evening was very good Summer.  I am so glad your back is getting better Yogi and it will have helped enormously to have all those lovely cuddles.

I recorded the second Strictly show and I am looking forward to watching it later, my favourite won, I think Abby's dancing has come on in leaps and bounds in the last few weeks and therefore she swept right past the dance training that Natalie had in the past.  I thought Natalie didn't improve very much and maybe she was relying on the training she had before.  Oh and I love Abby's accent

Good morning everyone

It looks like we had a lot of rain over night but we never flood here so all appears to be ok Its looking grey out there so more is on the way by the looks of it. Still its not cold

El, the papers like the telly don't always get it right but the pressure dropping isn't a good sign Lets hope you don't bear the full brunt of whatever comes you way. Take care

Yogi, our garden isn't looking to bad but that may well change during the course of the day. You take care whilst out Yogi. Wrap up warm. You don't want to compound your back problems

Sweet, i'm so pleased you had a good time and managed to get home safely Do I need to get the headache remedies out? The magician sounds like fun any 'sawing of people in half?'   I hope you have a great Sunday

Squiggle, I'm pleased you survived the hail storm and glad you have a blue sky now

  or, and this is weird.....

Have a great Sunday everyone. See you later

Moonie, I think I was dreaming if I saw an upside down rainbow. They are rare and are caused by there being horizontally layered ice crystals in the atmosphere. They are called circumzenthal arcs.

At church today, the service was lead by The Right Reverend Martin Snow who is the new Bishop of Tewkesbury. He's only 45 and is the youngest Anglican bishop in this country. He is what is called a suffragan bishop and is junior to the bishop of Gloucester.

Thanks for that info El. I had no idea if that piccie was real or a fake tbh but it looked good

On my local news website today:

REINDEER have been rounded up just in time for Christmas.

Following reports that Father Christmas had lost some of his reindeer who were last seen in the vicinity of Hucclecote Meadows and Lobley’s Drive in Gloucester, city council rangers were looking for helpers to find them in to time for deliveries on Christmas Eve.

Ranger Richard Lawrence, who went undercover as a reindeer in an attempt to lure the errant animals back, said the event went really well.

“The weather overnight was pretty atrocious but it cleared and we had a good turnout of children who were keen to help,” he said. “We rounded up the missing reindeer, so Santa has a full complement in time for his deliveries
