Going to get my hair cut later this afternoon - and it's getting chopped. I have quite thick hair (to match my head) and during the recent humid weather, it has driven me mad, so it's coming off! Well some of it is, I'm not going Kojak stylee.

Try not to damage your wings as you go through the doors

Good morning everyone, rainy here as it is in a lot of places.

Goodness I do miss Keira in your avi Yogi still, have fun as a Clary Fairy

So sorry to hear you and your family are victims of the dreaded tummy lurgy Summer, a wise course of action, quickest way to get rid of it I reckon, starve it out.  And yes my grandson is keen as mustard you couldn't want for a harder worker than him, he hates to be in work and have nothing to do, so did I when I was at work, give me a pile of work and I'm happy.

Try and enjoy your Friday everyone, despite the weather.

I should keep an eye out for your local news as if the local chippy has been giving people food poisoning, the environmental health people will want to launch an invesitgation.

Did you know that you can check on the rating given by the Food Standards Agency of inspections for all shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs etc which provide food?

http://ratings.food.gov.uk/search/en-GB?sm=1

You will be able to find out what rating is given to your chippy. My local one gets a top rating of 5. 2 would be poor, 1 would be avoid. Covers England, Wales, Northern Ireland. It does also cover Scotland but rather than a scale of 1 to 5 just says pass or improvement needed.

By chance I discovered this very strange clip. It's about 7 minutes long so is only part of the complete film. Apart from the music by Greig and some voice over, it's a silent version of Ibsen's Peer Gynt. It was directed by a 21 year old called David Bradley. What makes this of note is that it is Charlton Heston's film debut at the age of 17. He doesn't speak, but is certainly recognisable. The film was made in 1941, and his next film wasn't until 1950.

Squiggle and El, I love the dalmation vids. I saw a beautiful dalmation today when I was going to get my hair cut.

El, I had a look on that link and was a bit when I saw my local chippie had an improvement notice. However hubby assures me that an improvement notice can be given for very minor things and an Emergency Prohibition Notice would be issued for serious issues (in Scotland). *phew*

Summer, are you feeling any better now?

We could do with a larff Velvet after that bunch on regular BB - as we don't have LF I think I will be watching lots of clips.  Did you and Yogi both catch the clip I posted on the Julie thread?

There was more laughter in that one clip than there was in the whole of this year's BB.

So true!!!  There are some right miseries over on DS though and if they had their way we would be left with the young but dull and it would be ordinary BB all over again

I think that clips might be the way to go for this year's CBB so if either of you come across any good ones please share
