Sweet dreams gang I hope you all enjoyed the day.

Yogi your gardening sounds good I’ve no doubt you enjoyed it too

i’ve had a lovely day, despite catching a cold. We walked among wild garlic and I’ve been working on an assignment for a short course that I’m taking

You remember the church porch picture I posted here. Being scanned from the chuch magazine it was quite small and reduced in quality. I asked the vicar if she could email me the photo used and she has now done that. The photo was created by her stepson Richard Gibbens.

Good morning all

It’s a dry and sunny morning so the painting is going ahead today.

Summer, I hope your course is going well

El, the original photo is beautiful

Ros, I hope you were able to potter about in your garden while all that sport was on tv yesterday.

Have a good day, everyone.

Thank you Yogi The photo is called An Open Door so has two meanings, the literal one and to show that the church is open to all.

Summer, I hope your course is more interesting than the accounts one I mentioned recently

Good morning everyone, another lovely morning here, I hope your cold clears up quickly Summer.  We have wild garlic growing in the garden, my grandson was driving his brother yesterday when the younger brother yelled 'stop!' The grandson who was driving was understandably a little surprised but the younger one, the chef, had spotted wild sage growing, quite a big bush and also wild thyme so they are busy collecting

Enjoy your day everyone

I'm fed up with the likes of "The Savers Club" ringing me trying to get me to answer questions which I refuse to do so. I think that, although they claim not be be selling me anything, they are collecting data to pass to their clients for marketing purposes. (I found a lengthy Youtube clip of someone messing about with someone calling them from the Savers Club which ties in with what I've said). As usual they use false names and a false phone number on caller display and because they are ringing from far away the authorities can't do anything.

The actual rules can be seen here:
https://ico.org.uk/media/for-o...rketing-guidance.pdf
section 38 onwards refers to this practice which is called sugging.

(the rules get much tougher from 25 May thanks to GDPR not that that's going to worry the callers)

Good afternoon it’s turned into a hot, sunny day here! ☀️ Thanks for the hugs, I’m dosed up on sudafed androcking a wonderful rednose that gives Rudolph a run for his money lol

Yogi I hope painting is going well

squiggle, I didn’t know sage grows wild too!  No wonder the young chef was excited

~Sparkling Summer~

Summer, and there we were thinking that Rudolph had gone into hibernation

I think many if not all herbs have the wild equivalent as the cultivated ones would have originated from them before people started cultivating them. I'm not a forager but a forager would know. A wild version would quite possibly look and taste differently to a cultivated one.

That’s a lovely sentiment/message behind the photograph

Evening all

Squiggle, I’d love to be knowledgeable enough to go foraging. I’m afraid, picking blackberries is my limit. I do remember picking rosehips for my primary school - no memory of what it was for.

Rudolph, I mean Summer, I’m sorry you’ve caught a cold and hope it passes quickly.

Duth baby pancakes have been around for at least a century but they are not Yorkshire puddings.

Apart from both being made from a batter, the cooking method is different.

😮 if they are a century old then I’m glad I don’t like em El

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here with some rain in the forecast, looks as if it's the coolest day of the week.

Moonie, - only if they are made using Chinese century eggs

Annual boiler service this morning, not expecting any nasty surprises.

Summer, I hope you are feeling better today

Yogi, I hope you are having a good time with the tiddlers

I hope everyone has a good day

Gooooood morning yesterday was pretty rough but I had a better night, and have woken up feeling much better this morning! I can breathe out of my nose again, yippeeee!!!!!

Sorry i missed all the pancake talk yesterday, amends must be made

how are we all?

Moonie, you do well to maintain your garden when it’s not your passion

~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning Summer I'm glad that you are over the worst of your cold

The boiler engineer should be arriving shortly.

In the States, those Dutch baby pancakes were first brought in by a Victor Manca and were based on a German pancake dish. It's thought that they were called Dutch because one of his daughters called them "deutsch" which is the German for German.

Lots of debate going on about this audio clip as to which word you hear:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-44136799
If you click on the blue play button you'll go to the twitter page. Although the clip is playing automatically and is looped you'll need to move the audio bar up to be able to hear anything as it seems to default to zero.

It will depend on the quality of the audio on the device you are using and also how good your hearing is as the higher frequencies are harder to detect as you get older.

Good afternoon all.

The sun is shining, it’s a lovely day.

Yesterday was nice weather too, so we were able to take the children to the park, which they enjoyed. We ate lunch at the park too.

El, I’m glad there were no issue with your boiler.

Summer, I’m pleased your cold is easing.

Well done on getting your garden done, Moonie.

Squiggle, I hope the sun has appeared for you.

I hope everyone is having a good day.
