Good afternoon we’ve had 3-4 inches of snow overnight! ☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️ Yay!!!! It was so deep in places that it went over the top of my wellies as I walked Bramble!

Hope youre warm & snug

~Sparkling Summer~

Summer, did Bramble enjoy being in the snow on your walk?

It's warm and snug here but then I haven't been out today because of work. Two client meetings done today with their tax returns filed. Still some more to do but the bulk of them have been done.

Good morning everyone, the wind has died down and it's a fairly bright cold morning.  Are the littlies enjoying the snow Yogi?  I know they are not with you at the moment but are they building snowmen/snowwomen?  I suppose we have to be gender inclusive!

Sad to see in the papers this morning that they are talking about the death of the landline due to so many nuisance calls, what a state of affairs!

Enjoy your day everyone

The children love making snowmen/women, and they go sledging too.

Sweet dreams yogi & velvet and Ros when you pop in

haha yes Bramble LOVES the snow! She rolls in it, grunts and wags her tail constantly we met several other playful dogs in the park, so they had themselves a little snowy party, bless them

Good morning everyone

Sunny and cold here. Forecast is to be thoroughly wet and cold tomorrow morning and even wetter on Sunday morning.

Summer, I though Bramble was a bit of a snow dog

Sends emergency rations to those of you in the snow hit areas

The client with the student loan issue has decided just to pay what''s been requested by HMRC and leave it for them to sort it out so nothing for me to do there. That's her decision.

I hope everyone has a good day

Afternoon everyone

More heavy snow is falling as I type.

I’ve been out and about and the main roads are relatively clear but the roads in the village aren’t so good.

Hope you are all staying cosy and warm

Love the light festival, El. Especially the Westminster Abbey and the butterfly ones.

Yogi19

Yogi, I hope no-one gets cut off by the snow in some of the more rural areas today

The Westminster Abbey one was my favourite picture as well I don't think my brother would be going to see the festival as it's only on for 4 days and he rarely goes in the centre of London.

Good morning everyone

Cold, cloudy and rainy here - there could be some wet snow on hills this morning but not expected at lower levels.

I hope everyone has a good day and is able to keep warm and safe

El Loro

Good morning overcast and cold here, there’s still snow on the ground but no new layers of it overnight.

I’ve got 5 days off work-yippeeeee!!!!! I’m starting with a yoga class and a walk

what are you all going to be doing this weekend?

~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone, lots of cloud and still very cold this morning but due to at least warm up a little.  Has it seemed long to you this January, Christmas seems ages ago but is less than 4 weeks!  Enjoy your time off Summer, don't know what we'll be up to but hope the kiddies will be coming to sleep over, our little boy is unwell at the moment, the diagnosis is tonsillitis so it's wait and see how he is today.

Enjoy your day everyone

Summer, I hope you enjoy your time off work. Although the majority of my 31 January deadline work is done I need to be on standby for any client who needs to contact me urgently. For instance, as you know, people pay the balance of their 16/17 tax by the end of the month plus the first payment on account for 17/18. That POA can be reduced if they think that their 17/18 tax will be less than 16/17. So a client could want me to do some work estimating their 17/18 tax in order to reduce their POA.

Squiggle, I hope your little boy recovers from the tonsillitis quickly As you can imagine, January flashes by for accountants in practice. My workload is less than for most - many of whom will be working every day of the week from 8 in the morning to 10 at night.

Good morning everyone.

Another dusting of snow overnight, on top of the stuff that was already lying.

The main roads might be okay but our street is awful. I don’t think we’ll be going out today.

Squiggle, I hope the little one gets well soon

I agree, it does seem like a long time since Christmas.

El, your clients are lucky you are so organised and prepared for any last minute work.

Enjoy your time off, Summer - please do some yoga stretches for me.

Proxy yoga is my new exercise plan.

Have a good weekend, everyone

Yogi19

Yogi, I think you are sensible not to venture out unless you need to. You could get some more snow tomorrow but looks as if it's milder for everyone by Monday though rather unsettled. I could be getting over an inch of rain between now and Wednesday, heaviest tomorrow and Wednesday.

I've always tried to keep on top on my work in January particualrly the first couple of weeks to allow for last minute work. Now that I'm no longer taking on new clients my workload isn't as high as it was. I did drop a couple of clients who were habitually late and taking up more time than it was worth. This morning I've received the necessary information from my final outstanding client. He's the only one who does leave things to very late - last year the 29th and one year the 30th. His return though is one of the easier ones I do and there's no accounts to do so it doesn't take long. I had been chasing him and pointed out that with the flu outbreak it was risky as either of us could get it and be unable to work.

Good afternoon/evening everyone

We have had snow ❄️

It lasted quite a while but it’s almost gone now

Hope we have all had a good day

Sweet, I hope you enjoy your days off

Yogi, I hope you enjoy your proxy yoga. That’s the closest I would get to it too, by proxy, 😂

Have a great evening Buddies

Moonie, my clients have been behaving themselves today so not a bad day . There could be some more snow tomorrow but it won't last. It's going to be a throughly wet and windy day tomorrow, the only good thing is it's getting less cold.

El Loro

Those who watched the Rio Olympics opening ceremony might remember the Tongan flagbearer - he was competing in taekwondo. He decided to change sport and has just qualified for the Winter Olympics in cross country skiing.

It's just as likely as Jamaica qualifying in bobsleigh (Cool Runnings).

Consider your proxy yoga done yogi 🧘‍♀️ I hope your hamstrings feel ok in the morning!

Squiggle i hope your little boy soon feels better, tonsillitis is nasty, the poor lamb

January has gone very quickly for me so far, usually it drags. Christmas does seem like ages ago, only 11 months until the next one 🎅🏻🤶🏻

I’m glad I froze a few portions, the forecast isn’t looking good for tomorrow

have you had any more snow?

I’ve got some portions of chilli in the freezer so I might have that tomorrow

We had some snow overnight but no more today. The stuff that is lying, shows no sign of melting
