Actor Gorden Kaye, who was best known for his role in the long-running BBC sitcom 'Allo 'Allo!, has died aged 75.

The star's former agency confirmed to BBC News he died at a care home on Monday morning.

Staff at Gloucester's Café Rene have said a sad "au revoir" to Gordon.

Every year on the café's birthday the staff have held Allo Allo-themed parties.

The café was named after Rene Descartes rather than Rene Artois but that hasn't stopped the Allo Allo local urban myth.
