When I heard the news I like many was shocked. Then I thought about how many other deaths occured today and every day around the world of those who weren't known by sight or sound but their passing has/will cause grief to others, just as those close to Whitney are also now experiencing. Peace to her soul and to all who pass over.

I have just woke up and turned on the news it is very sad  she was only 48 years old,I loved her voice her songs had fabulous  lyrics...

Just woke up to a text about this how sad Last may I made a video photo album of SIL's hen do and I downloaded "I wanna dance with somebody" to use as the back ground song. It was played at the 80's themed hen do and we really enjoyed it. I've been listening to it ever since whilst driving around, getting ready for work & exercising- its such an upbeat song! Rest in peace Whitney

I remember this song vividly from my childhood, and always thought she was so beautiful when I saw her music videos.

We had news last night that an old friend died on Friday night. We have lived many miles apart for years now - as is always the case we kept saying oh 'we'll get together soon' - we didn't  - how often this happens. We never learn though.

This is such sad news, we are losing so much musical talent.

Michael Jackson, Amy Whitehouse and now Whitney Houston.

It's also sad that these creative people seem to live such tortured lives.

In a most dramatic turn of events, it is being reported that Whitney Houston's 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital Sunday afternoon (February 12), less than 24 hours after her mother was found dead in a Beverly Hills, California, hotel.

According to TMZ, Houston's only child with ex-husband Bobby Brown was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She was taken out on a stretcher from the Beverly Hilton, the same hotel where her mother reportedly died.

Rumours  that Whitney died in the bath.
