Surely in real life she wouldn;t be looking at prsion time at all??

I'm not against her. I feel sorry for her and think she needs counselling rather than prison.

Croc, that is EXACTLY what I was saying to my husband five minutes ago. And I actually said, if some woman stole my baby, and I got him/her back safe and sound several weeks or months later; I would be elated to get the baby back.  I would be angry and upset with the woman and want her to answer to what she'd done... But she is obviously poorly to have done something like that, so the last thing I would want would be for her to go to jail... I mean, what would that achieve?  She needs help, not to be banged up.

In a way I agree but in a way I don't. In my own world now with my kids safe and sound in the house beside me I'd like to think I'd be compassionate but in reality I bet I'd be baying for blood.

I may well be the same...however i think I would at least have some sympathy for the circumstances that led to them doing what they did if not for them doing the deed itself.

Oh don't get me wrong Croc...I'd have sympathy if I knew the circumstances but I don't know if it would be enough for me to forgive them. Part of me would want punishment and if it was someone who moved back onto the street I lived in I doubt I'd be able to stop myself beating the hell out of her. Not a good thing to do but it's probably what I would do.

It's a fantastic storyline and definately gets people talking

Cagney

Well considering she put Kat though all the emotions of her child dying by her kidnapping her baby it would be unrealistic to have people feel sorry for her.

But she should be sent to jail and given counseling while she is locked up although she will need protecting there as kidnapping kids isn't exactly a safe crime to be in for.

I agree.  But EE is the most unrealistic and laughable show EVER shown on terrestrial tv IMO.  It's embarrassingly bad now.

What I don't understand about Eastenders is..........how has this rubbish been on our tv screens for 26 years.

Because in some peoples opinions EastEnders is a great show like Corrie is.  I don't like some programmes like Dr Who but wouldn't want them axed because I respect the fact their fans obviously enjoy the programme!

Kat had become bitter before this storyline and she's had my sympathy but she also irritates me and don't know how Alfie lets her treat him like dirt. Alfie grates too after a while.

Shame because Kalfie before they left the first time were an amazing and hilarious couple.  I hope Ronnie don't get set down because she is IMO clearly mentally unwell and having some kind psychiatric treatment would be her form of rehabilitation and her punishment is constantly regretting doing that and wishing her 2 children were still alive.
