I just miss the innocence of me at times. That's not to say I'm a handful now but....
I don't miss some of the people that patronised me and do wish I had had more friends. Is this something to do with me having two older brothers? I dunno? Sorry, that was a bit profound, I know

Care-free days, no responsibilities - no pressure to do or be anything other than be a child.
Not appreciating how I looked or was perceived by others
Playing football in the street - it was all that mattered
Being unaware of politics, the opposite sex, money, bills, employment . . .
Having endless energy and endless enthusiasm about the simplest things
Believing in Santa
Being excited about getting older
Playing in the street til it got dark
And ... acceptance - things were the way they were ... then we went out and played in the street (til it was dark)

All the above Renton , minus the football 
Danger - go kart made out of a pram, conkers, throwing wheelies on a bike, rolling in the snow, drinking from a stream, running across a road, eating loads of sugary things, pulling out your milk teeth with string, falling off a bike and getting straight back on, scabbed knees and no plasters . . . .
. . . and that time seemed irrelevant, lazy wasted days and doing absolutely nothing

I still play on the beach, don't worry what I look like........trouble is I have to wear more than just knickers, still get sand in me bloomers tho........
