I bought a multipack of 6 rolls of Trebor extra strong mints from Tesco on Friday for 1.12 - on the shelf below there were multipacks of 3 rolls of Trebor extra strong mints for 1.13. ?????? What is all that about?

Plus, beware of your plums!

In the fruit and veg section there were ready bagged "market value" plums containing six black plums for 89p. At the checkout the girl put them through by scanning one plum at 49p and then the other 5 plums went through at 49p each, therefore costing us 2.94 for something that should have cost us 89p.

Ever get the feeling they're trying to rip you off?

my eldest likes the pizzas there, i noticed the prices is 43p each or 3 for ÂĢ1.30 Disappointed

i know it's only 1p more, but still it's marked as some sort of offer and people are stupid enough to look at that and think...ohhhh. (my OH being one of them till i pointed it out to him that 3x43 = 129...and that my son doesn't eat 3 in a week anyway lol)

It has to be said, I try and use my leedle local shops but the Uber-Tescos a few miles away does have an enormo-selection of organic stuff for pompous twats like me.

Plus it happens to be slap bang in the middle of where all our asylum seekers are put by the council. You get the most amazing stuff from all round the world in there cause of that. RecherchÃĐ fresh herbs and spices that are you just cant get anywhere else. Funny.

I thought Asylum Seekers ended up in Scotland these days? Blimey. My Tescos has a Polish section now, which is nice if you like cheap tinned meat, cherry faux Jaffa Cakes, and bottled vegetable pieces. The Sainsburys in Belgrave Gate in Leicester has all sorts of fresh Indian herbs and spices.

I was in Grantham yesterday and there was a sign saying "You can speak Polish here" on the window of Gnat West. Knowing Gnat West, it probably means you won't get thrown out but the staff will just say: "Eh?", "Sorry?", or "SPEAK ENGLISH PLEASE". On a Saturday.

Last time I actually went into tesco and not online I bought 2 reduced price air freshener refills, both reduced to ÂĢ2.42. When I got to till she asked for ÂĢ6.96 and said one was not reduced, I got the runner to go and check and she came back and said it was their mistake and they should have taken the sign down but I now had 2 choices. I could cancel that transaction and then pay again and they would let both go through at the reduced price, or, pay the full price for one and reduced price for the other and then, because it was their mistake, I would be due double the price refunded. I ended up with the 2 air fresheners free and ÂĢ3.60 something cash back Confused

Supermarkets are weird.

I wandered into our local Asda the other day where they were selling a case of San Miguel for a fiver. People were carting trolley loads about Crazy

By the time my hubby got home from work and we got to the shop they were all gone. Helpfully one of the greedy staff had put one aside for them under a spare checkout which I found and bought Ninja
