I feel like I've been waiting forever and his poor mum-to-be feels even worse!

My eldest was born on March 14th 1998..the day Arsenal beat Man Utd 1-0, goal scored by Overmars...always engraved on minds cos MrB had match blaring out on maternity ward. I'm sure he would have gone home to watch match if I'd let him!!!!!

A friend once told me that you think becoming a parent is the most wonderful thrill in life.

But that becoming a grandparent is even more thrilling.

Hope all goes well Bolton.

I managed to have both of my sons when there were London-Manchester derbys on.

It kept my dad occupied, but gave the expectant father and excuse to leave me to it.

Dad won a fair few pounds both times and the 'expectant' is now the ex

Ohh all your comments about grandchildren have got me even more excited - its bringing it all back from when my own two boys were little!

And he will be a Baby Bolton - he has no choice!  Me and my two sons and his mum-to-be all have season tickets at the Reebok and his is just waiting for him to be old enough to join us (poor little thing - us making him suffer with the rest of us!)

Aww Bolton are you in for a treat!!  Prepare to be blown away.

When my grandson was due my work colleagues kept asking me "how are you gonna feel" with a big grin.  I was mystified and (I regret to say lol) thought it was probably the daftest question I'd ever heard.  When I picked up that little bundle the whole world changed. Being a grandparent really is the most rewarding thing ever.  I've adored him every single day since.
