Yeah, I'm alright, thanks. I just have to take tramadol at the mo because it's the only way I can get more than an hour's sleep at a time. I currently have calcific tendonitis, which is basically lumps of calcium on my shoulder tendon. It's bloody painful and it's gonna take up to 8 weeks to get something done about it, but the tramadol mean that I can function to some extent. I was just taken by surprise today because, for some reason, I've been completely out of it. This is after taking it at night for 2 weeks. Very odd!

I've been working overtime tonight...    in the absence of wine, a tramadol would help me wind down a treat

on a serious note...   how they gonna sort it Peter?    My friends daughter is a dancer & has had a problem with a muscle on her shoulder...  she needs to have the muscle broken down & reset...  she  has just started a (new I think) treatment on it - sonicwaves or something...

basically the same as lithotripsy on kidney stones...      sounds like a pneumatic drill being applied to her..    after months of more conventional physio had failed..  there was talk of surgery...    they tried this as a last ditch attempt to avoid surgery...  and my friend reckons its amazing...

daughter is already on the mend...    only had 2 half hour sessions...    and the physio reckons she will be fit & raring to go for her auditions into dance school in 2 weeks time!

tis amazing!

(and a bit of a bargain at ÂĢ40 a session)

Well they're thinking of doing something called barbotage on it. Basically, they use ultrasound to guide a needle into my shoulder, then poke away with the needle to break down the calcium lumps on the tendon. I'm sure it's more civilised than the way I've described it (I certainly hope it is!), but that's the basic idea.

I don't tolerate Tramadol at all well.. I got a bit rampagey when they gave me it after my op  Embarrassing ! It might well have a cumulative effect ?

Get healed soon!

I think you night well be right. I'll have to have a (sleepless) night without it and see if my body resets.

I don't even recall what I was thinking when I took one, it's all a blank, but the nurses were laughing cause I cruised through the morphine in one piece but went a bit loopy on the tramadol . Got no idea what I was up to and was too mortified to ask

Good one

I agree with you regarding Morphine thats a stroll in the park compared to Tramadol.

Yikes sounds very painful Petercat.

I was in hospital with a self administered morphine drip after surgery. I buzzed the nurse to complain nothing was coming out when I pressed the button. Apparently it'll only administer once every five minutes so I was told to stop pressing it so much

Don't like the sound of Tramadol hallucinations
