What are your top five favourite things you did as a child? They only need to be significant to you, nothing outstanding

Me? - thought you'd never ask . . .

1. Xmas at my aunt's house - it was magical, always smelled of cooking, all the family around, most sadly gone.

2. Walking through "the dene" after school was finished, often in the dark with my torch, to visit family. It was spooky but I never felt afraid, just filled with adventure.

3. Playing on my brother's old Raleigh Chopper, my favourite 'toy' of all time and first taste of freedom.

4. Eating chips from an open bag on the way home - in the dark and when it was freezing cold, somehow made it more special.

5. School trips at the end of the year was such an adventure, with your friends, without your parents! We went to Edinburgh one year, still have the things I bought LOL

Yes They were little more than wooden clothes horses , or crates , covered with any old material we could scrounge off our mums  , such as curtainsâ€Ķbut we thought they were the bees knees .

Sounds epic - i can imagine at aged ten it was even better

We once played hide and seek using walkie talkies - now that was perhaps the most excited I have ever been as a kid LOL

Another:-

My older sister had a tricycle that had a passenger seat. I loved sitting in the back seat being trundled around while she did all the pedaling!

My neighbour had a bogey and it was the most exciting thing to fly down the hill on the back. Planks of wood, string for steering, pram wheels and the snapped off branch from a tree as a brake!
