Good point ... If he can see/hear this he will be wetting himself with fear for his turn

I would be.

Me too, I'd be feigning a headache and I would be out of there sharpish!

To add in a little bit of knowledge, there is still a lot of wasted money, I do know this from experience. I wish I could provide examples but I can't on a public forum.

I can imagine

I used to work for a private training organisation...doing CV's and putting people on training and getting them into work....I'm now redundant...ironic eh?

It seems crazy to me that in this day and age we can't provide stats for a whole host of important issues.

Yes, that's an idea. I guess he's only got his minister's figures to go on, and we all know figures can be manipulated

I may make all politicians less likely to twist figures if they were presented with facts. Tonight we have been presented with lots of them.

I don't think so. They seem pretty even to me. Although it's starting to feel like a Labour party promo from Ed.

I did think it was odd that Paxman didn't grill him too, I guess

Are we not getting that?

I expect Paxman will grill him later

It was/is ever thus.....nothing's ever gonna change in that respect

Yes unfortunately, I suspect whoever gets in we will be having a similar debate 5 years down the line.

Oh yes, they've said there's still gonna be cuts.....it comes down to who's will be the fairest

Having had 5 years of wage deflation I'm not convinced any of them will be good (or better) for me. I am close to the point of looking for something else where I can get see my income at least keeping up with inflation, although at 0% it currently is

It's the same for me. I said in another thread that I'm not gonna vote for the so called 'big parties'

FM

I am interested in watching all of these political shows this year because tbh I don't usually vote as they all come across as bad as each other.  I want somebody to inspire me to get off my arse and want to vote for them.  I want them to tell me what THEY will do for the country, (and for me), not what the other parties are doing wrong.

I watched (most) of the show last night, although I did nod off for a short period when Cameron bored me

What I did see, I thought Miliband came across better and I am surprised to hear on morning TV that the polls show Cameron as winning the night.

Paxman was a knob, Burley was a knob - they were far too personal with Miliband, surely there are more things to worry about with the current state of affairs than his family relationships

Let's hope the future debates, in particular the head-to-head debates are more inspiring.

That's why I don't trust em.  The main 3 party's are a bunch of crooks.

Yes, but that doesn't stop you voting for one of the others. Do you vote?

But at what cost to my dignity...that's what I keep asking myself.

It's like voting to be conned every 5 years.
