I'll watch MrsH
If you're watching MrsH, then I will watch you.
Let's hope Ed trounces the lying Bullingdon coward. In a head to head he would.
Tuning in MrsH
They`re not debating, separate Q&A sessions. They wont even be on camera together.
After the last disaster, I'm feeling apathetic about the election. We got a government that wasn't actually elected.
Is it live or recorded earlier?

So this is our chance to change that
Is it live or recorded earlier?
It was recorded live earlier.

It says live, but it has the feeling of a pre-recorded event.
Zero hours contracts are a disgrace
Is this just interviews not head to head?
Slip up there....anything constitutes a job
Is this just interviews not head to head?
Yup, no head to head

Yes, I'm not saying the others are much better, but I really do detest him
Paxo is stuffing him.
Difficult decisions that effected the poor.
I wonder if they are keeping Millibland in a soundproof room while Cameron is being interviewed?
I think he knows and isn't telling....is there an election maybe?
Paxo is stuffing him.
Boom tish
Difficult decisions that effected the poor.
And mostly the poor, cos he doesn't realise...we're all in this together
I wonder if Paxman has political leanings?
I wonder if they are keeping Millibland in a soundproof room while Cameron is being interviewed?
Good point ... If he can see/hear this he will be wetting himself with fear for his turn
Libya was a fiasco.
Most of it is
I wonder if Paxman has political leanings?
He`s a Tory.
I wonder if Paxman has political leanings?
Gives you that impression

As long as they're both grilled the same.....
I wonder if Paxman has political leanings?
He`s a Tory.
Is he? He does not seem to be pulling punches in the questions. Maybe let's see how he treats Eddie.
I wonder if they are keeping Millibland in a soundproof room while Cameron is being interviewed?

I would be.

Me too, I'd be feigning a headache and I would be out of there sharpish!
At least Ed might get a chance to put his point over without the other side screaming at him as in PMQ's

I wonder what other ways those could be?
I'm bored now ... wheel out Ed
"Sky News App", I did not need to know that or have the evil empire Sky thrust down my throat with their free advertising on a joint TV programme.
He`s getting an easy time of it.
He deffo knows what cuts he's gonna make....

Yeah, it's on that channel too
Not Kay's finest moment ... shut him up and let people ask him more questions
He`s getting an easy time of it.
I'm never invited
Dave, there are other people who work in the police force other than officers. Don't forget also that some forces are taking on many non paid specials.
He`s getting an easy time of it.

Real world Davey! A high up policeman has just told you it's collapsing!
No comment. Why not?!
Dave, there are other people who work in the police force other than officers. Don't forget also that some forces are taking on many non paid specials.
Who probably have to be trained a bit more than they are....
Real world Davey! A high up policeman has just told you it's collapsing!
To add in a little bit of knowledge, there is still a lot of wasted money, I do know this from experience. I wish I could provide examples but I can't on a public forum.
#thebattlefornumber10 is a scream! It's a good job I can't work out how to copy and paste tweets here or else I would have posted one about Kay Burley which would probably have got me banned
Getting disabled people into work he says. The Tories closed or sold off all Remploy factories.

ÂĢ780m contracts to private healthcare companies.
Tell us about that Dave.

Why do we not have an independent organisation who could verify all of the statistics that politicians give out.
It seems crazy to me that in this day and age we can't provide stats for a whole host of important issues.

I'd like him to
Kay has gone for the spray on dress tonight!

I used to work for a private training organisation...doing CV's and putting people on training and getting them into work....I'm now redundant...ironic eh?

Yes, that's an idea. I guess he's only got his minister's figures to go on, and we all know figures can be manipulated

Only ever a five year contract but we weren't allowed to rebid

I may make all politicians less likely to twist figures if they were presented with facts. Tonight we have been presented with lots of them.
When I have more money in my pocket I am paying off my mortgage quicker rather than spend it in other ways, so Ed you better hope that not everyone is like me or the revenue will not come in.
I've always said I wanted us to be in the EU but with more say
Woah!
I do prefer David M to Ed M.
Ed getting a tougher time. Hand picked audience?
Ed getting a tougher time. Hand picked audience?
It seems so, he's holding his own though...he doesn't seem to be collapsing
What has this got to do with politics? Too personal.

Ed getting a tougher time. Hand picked audience?
Do you think so? I just think he's coming over bettert
Ed getting a tougher time. Hand picked audience?
I don't think so. They seem pretty even to me. Although it's starting to feel like a Labour party promo from Ed.
Ed getting a tougher time. Hand picked audience?
Do you tink so? I just think he's coming over better
I refer you to my previous post
A lot of what I'm hearing from these two are the same old same old. Heard it before and more than likely I will hear it again in coming years.

I don't think so. They seem pretty even to me. Although it's starting to feel like a Labour party promo from Ed.
I did think it was odd that Paxman didn't grill him too, I guess
Cameron got some incredibly soft questions. What sort of question was "what do you think of Ed Miliband?" Then Burley has the brass neck to say, "never mind about the Tories".

It was/is ever thus.....nothing's ever gonna change in that respect
Haha! He was obviously told to bring the sandwich up!
Well metaphorically
A round of applause when he compliments Dave.

Yes unfortunately, I suspect whoever gets in we will be having a similar debate 5 years down the line.

C'mon Ed answer the question...
Ed's floundering ...
My wages have fallen.
This is making Scotty's post look right about Paxman being a Tory
My wages have fallen.
So have mine

He does seem a bit harder on Ed.
Let me explain ...
My wages have fallen.

Sorry Sprout.
Let me explain ...
Go on then.
My wages have fallen.

Sorry Sprout.
LOL! Tis ok
From what I have heard from Ed, it would seem that if he is in power then I will still be under a squeeze for the foreseeable future.
This is making Scotty's post look right about Paxman being a Tory
Noooo, paxman went into Dave like a rotweiller, he was soft on Ed at first ...

Oh yes, they've said there's still gonna be cuts.....it comes down to who's will be the fairest

Having had 5 years of wage deflation I'm not convinced any of them will be good (or better) for me. I am close to the point of looking for something else where I can get see my income at least keeping up with inflation, although at 0% it currently is
LOL! Scotty!
Oh no, they are laughing at him
Personal yet again!

It's the same for me. I said in another thread that I'm not gonna vote for the so called 'big parties'
There is one certainty in politics, it makes you go prematurely grey.
Personal yet again!
Personal Paxy, even though you did say it like that
North London geek!
This is outrageous.
We are getting into Alan Partridge territory here.
I have to say, Ed was glaring at Paxman.
And then he justifies it by saying that!!
I have to say, Ed was glaring at Paxman.
I wish we could have heard the exchange as they went to the adverts.
'Are you okay Ed?'
I think that was supposed to be off mike

Leanne Wood (Leader Of Plaid Cymru)
Steven Woolfe (UKIP Immigration Spokesman)
Janet Street-Porter (Broadcaster & Guardian Columnist)
Good point Jim

He`s a hypocrite. He voted for ÂĢ30b austerity cuts in January.
The PM doesn't care!

Like I said...there's gonna be cuts any which way you look at it. It's down to who can make it fair
#bbcqt Murphy the food bank man eh, you voted for austerity cuts. Hypocrite me thinks
I guess I agree with Woolfe there...that's not to say I agree with all their thinking
Ed came over stronger and got the most hostility. He handled it well and was humble and honest in his answers.
Well said that man!
When Cameron says "he makes the tough decisions" it's funny how those so-called tough decisions hit the poorest hardest and hardly touch voter groups who generally vote Tory.
Nicky! a lot of people who leave school are unemployable...they can't read or write
I know through my job I had
Employment agencies....don't get me started!
It's totally acceptable to sack him.....he punched someone (allegedly) it's a sacking offence in the real world!
Character and Charisma?
Is it a loss? The BBC won't be paying him mega bucks any more
Kaye Burley delivered the goods for her paymaster, Uncle Rupert. Someone as biased to the agenda of big money as that should never have been allowed to referee the debate.
Read the comments on the Daily Mail (of all places) and many think Miliband came over better as a more honest and decent candidate for PM.
I am interested in watching all of these political shows this year because tbh I don't usually vote as they all come across as bad as each other. I want somebody to inspire me to get off my arse and want to vote for them. I want them to tell me what THEY will do for the country, (and for me), not what the other parties are doing wrong.
I watched (most) of the show last night, although I did nod off for a short period when Cameron bored me
What I did see, I thought Miliband came across better and I am surprised to hear on morning TV that the polls show Cameron as winning the night.
Paxman was a knob, Burley was a knob - they were far too personal with Miliband, surely there are more things to worry about with the current state of affairs than his family relationships
Let's hope the future debates, in particular the head-to-head debates are more inspiring.

Bumps just in case anyone wants to comment
Bog off Cameron! You haven't been working with the British people!
Bumps just in case anyone wants to comment
Nope, not me
But someone may
EDIT....I would just about have some respect for Davie boy if he had agreed to a head to head Eddie boy
I wouldn't respect him whatever he does. I loathe him and his policies
that's not to say I like anyone else's any more better though.
Again, harking back to the past

Nope, I hate everything Tory but I would have at least had a modicum of respect for him.....

The incumbent government always blames the previous one for the present problems....
Yes, it's deteriorating again
Well I have women's live footie on the telly and rock music on the radio. I know my priorities
