Ive been stung by both when I was a kid . The funniest thing was once when we took the kids to the sea and a wasp flew around my son , who naturally ran around flapping . My ex told him to calm down , cos then it wouldn’t sting him ....so he stood stock  still ...and of course it stung him ....he lost all faith in my ex at that point
